Good selection of domestic and imported cheeses. More affordable than Venissimo.

They have a good selection of domestic and imported cheeses that you can also find at local cheese shops such as Venissimo but at a much more affordable price. Their soft cheeses tend to be on the riper side which is great if you'll be shopping for an occasion and serving the cheese on the same day. The cheese labels also include flavor notes and pairings.

See regular grocery workers behind the counter they know nothing about the cheese

This is not a cheese shop it's the cheese area of a grocery store. Which I must add it is weirdly placed IN the store and blocks 2 major isles. REALLY bad placement Ralphs. Feng shui fail. ***please note the pictures posted by the other reviewer here are from the store in New York** They NEVER have samples and the cheeses are the same you find anywhere. I am confused about this being labeled as a cheese shop. I get more samples and a better selection, freshness and pricing at Whole Foods up the street. True they do have an "under $5 basket" , but you can get a large whole normal size hunk of the same quality/brand cheese at Trader Joe's a few feet away. WHY would anyone buy those? The persons working the counter are not knowledgeable about cheese they are grocery workers. It's not a cheese shop.

I was a regular at their West Village location in NYC. They know cheese.

This is one unique spot and absolutely worth visiting. Came here with a group (which I'd recommend…read moreto try more things) but heads up that there aren't large tables so you'll need to move things around if you're more than 3-4 people. The vibe is wild there- from creepy McDonalds figures to a diner-like bar and decor, it'll feel like no other restaurant or bar you've been to. I had enough sodium for the rest of my week, but man was everything tasty. The Prosciutto Sandwich was so tasty and loaded up with prosciutto. The meatballs were flavorful (and the sauce was great for dipping my sandwich!). The drinks were super cool. I got the freak nasty and it might've been one of the best drinks I've had in a while. Think a cross between a Gin & Tonic and an Italian sandwich. And the pickle beer was very pickle forward! The waitress was very friendly and was able to speak to all the drinks. I'd definitely come here again... just maybe not too frequently given the high sodium levels haha.

(As said on google)…read more First time ever! Shaunna, the Hospitality Manager she served our party of 4 on 04/15/26. This was after our visit to Sea World. She answered all our questions and gave us recommendations. We did the four-course meal. (spanish artichoke as the cheese, caesar and strawberry almond salad, coco-vigne as our cooking style, did the steak lovers, and we did lastly the dark and dulce for chocolate.) Everything was delicious. Shaunna was amazing. She was helpful. She definitely served us and gave us an experience we will never forget. For sure out of 10, it is a 10. We would love to come back. We were full but we are happy to leave happy and full thanks to the Melting Pot Staff and especially Shaunna. Thank you! And definitely look out for Shaunna, she is AMAZING!!!! Ambiance is amazing. Pretty chill! Mood lighting. And also this skyscraper use to be a bank (fun fact).

Love this place for their massive outdoor area and their quaint indoor bar. I've been here a few…read moretimes and even hosted a small event of 20 people before. This time around, it was just the 3 of us, to chat over some wine and apps. Had their April featured Pinot, which was amazing (had 2 glasses). It's good to keep in mind that they only sell their flatbreads on certain days and unfortunately, they didn't serve it when we went. So, instead we had the crostinis, which is perfect if you want a little bit of everything, but not sure what to get. My friend got the chicken Caesar wrap, and it was a lot bigger than expected. As far as the ambience, there's seating all around the bar that's located in the middle. So it's convenient to just walk up to the bar to place your order. Servers and bartenders were friendly and quick. Overall this is a great laid-back place for small or large groups.

I wanted to update my review, as I have been back several times through the years. Since my…read moreinitial review, there have been several changes.... some better than others. First, I still really enjoy the Carruth Wine Garden. It is nice to have an outdoor space to drink wine right in the center of the city. In general there plenty of parking ,and it is dog friendly. As far as the wine, it is very good. I like some more than others. More recently, I have enjoyed the Unicorn Red Blend ( a longtime favorite) and the Syrah. I love that it is dog friendly, inside and out. My dog loves going there and she makes friends each time. A change that they made recently is that the main garden area is now child-free, which was a positive change in my options, as it had gotten a bit chaotic in the past with children not being very well supervised. The still have a family-friendly outdoor space. In the past, there was always live music when I came. I was there most recently on a Saturday evening and was disappointed that there was no music. Also, the prices have gone up ($18 per glass). Unfortunately, I found the pours to be somewhat inadequate, though it depended which staff member was pouring the wine. They do not allow for outside food, and only make certain dishes certain days of the week, which unfortunately doesn't allow for many options if you are hungry. Water is readily available inside and outside. All in all, it is a lovely place with good wine to come with friends and your 4-legged friends. It has gotten a bit pricey, and I do wish we could bring out own snacks, but I still enjoy going and am sure that I will be back.
