Rueben

What a cool spot! It felt very authentic walking in and smelling all the good food smells. Everyone who works here is very friendly. We sat outside in Donna's section and she was amazing! We really enjoyed talking with her, she was excellent. The Rueben was so good! My husband got the French dip and our client who is vegetarian got a pasta dish that was huge! Also tried the tiramisu

Perfect place to stop in the Poconos! A great little lodge with tons of parking. I didn't know what to expect since it was my first time in the Poconos but this place was great. Our waitress was super friendly and the service was quick. The interior is very cool, lots of PA friendly findings. We went with the cheesesteak egg rolls which were jam packed and great. I went with the flounder as my entree with a side of rice pilaf which was a cooked perfectly. Super tasty and fresh. My boyfriend had the turkey dinner and he loved it too. Overall a great place to stop after a long drive. They have a pretty decent menu selection and a nice bar area.

Excellent food and friendly quick service! We stopped at Murphy's Loft for family early dinner 2 times in July-Aug 2022 while on vacation in Poconos. On both visits the food was consistently excellent and service was very friendly, quick, and attentive! Thank you Tammy and Raven! Appetizers: Regular Buffalo Wings - perfect on first visit and slightly too dry second time Jalapeno Poppers - delicious! Mains: Super Steak Sandwich - delicious, perfectly done to order! Grilled Salmon - excellent, fresh and not too dry. Broiled Flounder - very good, fresh, and flavorful. The portion was unusually generous for a fish dish! We highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. We'll certainly be back on our next stay in Poconos!

Checked out Murphy's Loft and it was a so-so experience. Upon arrival we stood awkwardly for awhile being ignored by waitstaff passing by. I do recognize they were busy but it seemed a little weird to not be acknowledged. However the interior was unique and had a great cabin feel. We ordered a harvest salad which was described as a romaine/spinach salad with almonds and cranberries for $9. It was the smallest salad and no cranberries were provided. There were pieces of slimy spinach (see pic). It was not worth it at all. We also ordered nachos which were just ok. The portion of sour cream and salsa were very small. The nachos arrived on a cute plate but tasted just ok. The sand which got a good review and the waffle fries were great. However it was not disclosed that the fries had an up charge. The waitstaff were pretty busy and no one really checked on us. My water was never refilled and we had to ask for silverware. I would give a solid 2.5 but rounding up to three because the waffle fries were very tasty. Knocking a star for the terrible salad and spotty service. Things to know: -no Wi-Fi -you can participate in horse betting at the bar -hours M-Th: 11am to 9pm, Fri: 11am to 10pm, Sat: 9am to 10pm, and Sun: 9am - 9pm -there are different daily specials such as Mon - wind night, Tues - tacos, etc -kids menu available

This was my third attempt to come to this establishment, given how close to home it is. Their outdoor smoking and non-smoking areas are a joke. If anyone is smoking in there, the whole place has to live with the smoke. In previous experiences we've had to deal with sub-par food at extremely slow speeds (cheesesteak sandwich took over and hour each time). This time my chicken parm sandwich was inedible. Rubber chicken, bland sauce that was barely existent and a lovely hair. As I drank my drink I noticed just how dirty it was... so gross to have eaten and drank from dirty dishes. Service was slow as usual with 1hr10min to get a sandwich. This was the last time we attempt to eat here.

Great idea!

Absolutely, especially for breakfast! The pancakes are outstanding and the breakfast platter is out of this world.

We haven't been here for dinner in quite a few years but we went for breakfast about a month ago and it was pretty good.

We did a few apps to share: tempura shrimp with a pickled slaw, spring rolls and a cup of chili and French onion soup. The younger kids thought their menu had some great options and the rest of us were all over the map: grilled chicken salad, chilled soba noodles and a pub burger with sweet potato waffle fries. Their menu changes often to reflect the seasonality of ingredients, and I didn't snap a pic of their most recent menu, so food descriptions are generalized. We had a very relaxing time by the fire, and it was a perfect low-key evening to break up a busy holiday weekend.

My husband's drink of Black Russian was very good. We both got one of the specials. I got eggplant rolotini, which was good and plentiful with 4 pieces. I just wish the garlic bread that I got on the side would've been warm. My husband got the stuffed artichoke and while it looked great, and nice sized, it should have been cooked longer so it would've been softer. The service was good. Wait staff was very pleasant. The place was fine- the bar, where we sat, was kept clean and clear of dirty dishes (we had a disgusting issue with this twice a year ago and hadn't been back bc of this). As it was Friday night, a musician was just coming in as we left. That's always a nice touch there. I think we'll go again.

I was impressed with the cleanliness as I watched them flip and adjust the limited tables for various sizes of parties while remaining engaged with customers. I had the chicken & waffles with maple/habanero sauce and loved it. Highly recommend, I asked for extra sauce as it was delicious & a great compliment to the crisp yet tender chicken and the fresh sweet Belgian waffles. Hubs got the cinnamon toast which comes with a sweetened granola side. Both are delicious and neither need anything added. We enjoyed sides of potatoes as well as bacon. Hubs drank the pink lemonade and I get the s'mores hot chocolate. This was breakfast before beginning the drive home to Virginia, neither of us needed any food along the way. Of course you must be sure the appreciate the cute piggy decorations and art work both inside and outside the restaurant. It was cool to see the local artist at work updating images on the windows. They have a gift shop and we now have a cool T-shirt to help us remember our great experience. We are already contemplating our next visit to the Pocono area.
