Visually, on the outside, the restaurant is very pleasing and modern looking. Inside, it is very industrial looking with very poor & loud acoustics. The tables and chairs are uncomfortable to say the least. The food is poor quality. I had the Broccoli Mac & Cheese that was supposed to have Pablo bread crumbs but there were no bread crumbs but did have 4 big chunks of tomatoes to top. The broccoli didn't taste fresh and the cheese sauce tasted very synthetic. The sweet potato tots had a weird sugary coating on them. Everything tastes as though you could get it from the budget section of the frozen food isle in the grocery store. I won't be back. read more

Very nice atmosphere and great facility. The list of beer is great...extensive, local, diverse and poured through a perfect draft system. The food so far has been very good. I had the Vegan Burger and the Tacos. Vegan burger was great and tacos were good but small. Expect more for the price in Sidney. The bartender was very good and efficient and knows his beer. The only dig I can think of is the servers may want to lighten up a bit. All in all this is a great place that was sorely missing on Sidney. Great job here. read more

I love this place as somewhere to get drinks and an appetizer. The drink/beer menu is great and the atmosphere is wonderful, but I have gotten dinner here twice and I have been very disappointed. The appetizers are pretty good, the burgers and Nashville hot chicken sandwich and both were extremely disappointing. read more

It is good to have a nice eatery downtown. Been there four times through the week and a couple of times on a Friday. Food has been very good, the Braised Short Rib Poutine was a hit. I have yet to figure out the price of a Manhattan though. Different for every bourbon. At least tell me. First time I've ever had one with a orange slice. The table next to us had a "big cube", our two was up. At least ask me how I'd like it. The table had an annoying "rock". You know, every time each of us took a bite the see-saw was in full motion. Stopped in on the way from Dayton to Sandusky. So happy we did! This place has it all! Service was good however it wasn't busy so that may not be a good indicator. Food was generous portions and delicious! We got the pretzel. Both the beer cheese and mustard were delicious! The poutine was okay. We compare poutine to lock 27's in Dayton and nothing stands up to the test. So I don't think that should be a knock against them. I loved the wedges in it, would have been better with the beef and beer cheese, but that's just my opinion. We asked for the Nashville hot Mac and cheese to share and the kitchen split it even though we didn't ask. I thought that was a nice touch. The potions were huge! The cocktails were creative and delicious! Also on tap which I great if coming on a busy night. The beer list was huge and had a great variety. It's a hour away from home but I would certainly consider taking the drive to try this place again. read more

Who needs to go to Columbus or Dayton? Downtown Sidney has it figured out. Long awaited and first visit was impressive. Food was excellent. Beer was cold and even tried a dirty martini. The wait staff was good as well but changed people on us. I think it was just the time of day and waiting for the team for dinner to arrive. Very nice servers but had to flag them down a couple of times and it was not busy yet. So glad this is in Sidney! We will probably be regulars in a few months. The food was decent, the tater tots were amazing, but the service was not good at all-- terrible actually. It took 10 minutes for our waitress to come over to us. We had to call her out each time we wanted to order drinks and food. All of the other waitresses were standing around, on their phones, taking pictures, and drinking alcohol behind the bar. For that reason, I will not be coming back to Murphy's. read more

We were in the area so decided to stop for lunch. Wasn't too busy and sign said seat yourself, so we chose the bar. Ugh. Bar seats very uncomfortable. Waiters were attentive and nice. My cocktail tasted good. We got the pretzel and yes, it is huge, and delicious! If I HAD to complain about it I'd pick a different cheese to pair with it but to each their own and it wasn't bad. The mustard that also came with it had a good heat! I was back and forth but ended up on the Philly chicken. Presentation was good, nice ooey gooey cheese but the chicken lacked flavor and killed it for me. I enjoyed the side salad, all ingredients tasted fresh. My guy got a burger. He seemed to enjoy it but definitely messy! I didn't get his vote but he'd probably say burger was 7/10. The most annoying thing was how sloppy it got and ended up with the burger and no more bread because it disintegrated in the eating process. Would I go back? Yea, I'd give it a second chance and try another meal before shutting it out of my life forever. Overall score 3.5 read more

A few weeks ago, I made tonight's reservation for 6 to celebrate a special evening. The only good thing I can write about this place is that we were seated quickly. From there, everything went down hill. We waited at least 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us. When the person did, she informed us she wasn't our server but could get us drinks. I informed her we had been waiting a while, so she did take out food order. Our food came out at different times - 3 meals and then 10 minutes later 3 more meals came out. The server checked on us once and then we didn't see her rest of evening. After much waiting, my boyfriend had to go ask for our bill. The guy who brought us our bill acted annoyed and at this point all we wanted to do was pay and leave. Not impressed. Sorry Sidney - this city needs places like this and we wanted to support local business, but the service was horrible. read more

This place has a ton of beer on tap & a nice atmosphere, but that's about the only merit to speak of. The beer is overpriced & the food is TERRIBLE. The 1st time I ate here, I got a "grilled" chicken salad. The chicken was obviously some of those cheap/flimsy Tyson premade chicken strips & they were barely hot, much less grilled. I figured they were brand new, still getting their feet wet, so I gave it another go a few weeks later. The second time I went, I got a small salad & the poutine pictured by someone else below. The tomatoes on the salad were mealy & the cucumber was floppy. The poutine fries were neither crispy nor fresh - they were some kind of frozen steak fries & they were floppy & tasteless. The gravy was that canned stuff & it was entirely too salty. There was a sparse sprinkling of cheese curds. Just bad all around. read more
