This is a good dive bar to stop in for a cheap beer, two beers on tap, a shock-top and a mic ultra, everything else in cans or bottles. Theron hours are wrong on Yelp, believe its supposed to read 2:30 am, there were still open late this afternoon with a bunch of bikers at the outside tables. Inside it's dark and dingy, the floor must be 2" off between the highs and lows, no credit cards accepted. The burgers are supposedly "famous", but I was majorly disappointed. The fried food we got was good but the pizza tasted like cardboard and the burger was dry, crumbly, and flavorless. It was overcooked, bland and overpriced. $9.50 seems steep for Ohio , regardless of being on an outlet of Indian Lake. The food and drinks were great! Burgers were as big as your head. I honestly didn't know how I got my mouth around it. The only down side was that we waited 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted to order and then 40 for our food. Super disappointed with the service but glad we ate here because the food was great! They're known for their burgers and rightfully so. If you come here expecting Thurmans you're going to be disappointed. The burgers here are comparable to your standard bar, bowling alley, or greasy spoon but the size of your head. The shoestring fries are a great compliment to the burger. Prices are fair and you'll leave with a full belly. The bartender said the chili was really good, but I have yet to try it (maybe next time). read more

A couple of closer places were closed so we ventured a little further out to the Tipton Hilton. It's a rustic, unassuming place on Indian Lake with picnic tables on the patio. We didn't go inside so can't speak to that. Basically only domestic beers/coolers in the bottle/can or Bloody Marys are available. We all had various burgers and they were fine but not really seasoned at all. The bun was just a large plain piece of dough that really didn't add anything to the sandwich. I took the top off and ate mine open-face. The fries were solid and the cole slaw was very tasty. It was dark so i really can't comment on any view. Staff was very nice and attentive despite us arriving a little close to closing. It was overall ok but I don't think I'd drive half way around the lake to dine there again. read more

3rd time's the charm. I'm now convinced I'll never go back to Tilton Hilton. The food and service are sub-par. Burgers are fine, but huge pucks; everything else is fried and seems to come straight out of a Sysco truck, into the oil. Trying to find something to like from the menu, this time I ordered the fried shrimp dinner. Shrimp tasted dirty (they weren't deveined) and there was more breading than shrimp. Fries are boring. This was an ice house in the old days. The floor inside is tilted at a rather steep angle. A very, very local crowd--resort community around Indian Lake. While we were there the Chamber of Commerce was running a fundraiser. Putt-putt around the lake for 18 holes. It was fun watching the contestants. But the really big deal here and why you should go is the food. Their burgers and tenderloins are very good. Very, very good. I think they grind their own burgers. Shoestring fries perfectly cooked. Nice waitstaff. And if you have a boat you can pull right up to the dock. Nicely shaded--level--patio outside where you can eat and watch the boats and people. Hands down my favorite place at Indian Lake! The Tilton Hilton is literally a tilted bar that would certainly pose a problem after having a few too many. Of course it's never been a problem for little ol' me (wink, wink), I'm just sayin'. Seriously- this place- biggest burgers I've ever seen. Almost literally the size of my head. And SSOOOO good. Not to mention the cost. (..are you sitting? You should sit.) They are $4.25 including fries. OMG. It was fantastic. As were the cheese sticks (they were $3.00). I've never said this about an establishment before- much less an eatery- but they seriously could get away with charging more. It's worth it and people would pay it. Definitely a unique experience. Its real name is the Turkey Foot Inn, but everyone knows it as the Tilton Hilton. The place has had quite a bit of "settling" over the years and has a very noticeable "tilt" to the floors inside. Make sure you hang on to your drink as it will slide off the table if you let it go! The food is great bar food. The portions are HUGE and very cheap! Two can easily split a burger and fries. It doesnt look like much but is a great place to go. Many good memories will be made here. The hamburgers (see pictures already posted) are huge, delicious, and very inexpensive. The soups are great, and a 1/2 bowl of soup is the equivalent of a full size bowl most places. Ordered to go food tonight at 7:15 ... at 8:15 asked the bartender to check on our food. She said they were really busy. No one inside and all the tables outside had been served. She forgot to place our order and didn't own up to it. Lame! We got our food at 8:45 pm. The food was good but that's insane. 1.5 hours for burgers and hotdogs. Great place to stop in at when out on a hot afternoon on Indian Lake! Great burgers and tenderloin sandwiches! They will often have great specials on beer. Don't expect anything fancy, the floor really does tilt I promise. There will be geese everywhere in the summer. If you're out on the lake stop in for sure you will enjoy it! The pork tenderloin sandwich is good as well! The outdoor seating is great for people watching and enjoying a beautiful day. It's a total dive in every since of the word. The building itself is pretty grimy. The floor's are uneven (hence the name), it's dark inside and the bathroom's are pretty nasty. That being said, it's pretty much an Indian Lake institution. Very unique place. Big time biker hang out on the weekends .... but absolutely a family friendly atmosphere. They are known for their TILTON BURGER (1/2 burger, freshly made). I had the fish tail sandwich today. Very good! Their french fries are a very thin and slightly battered treat! Order them extra crispy and they are wonderful! The only reason for the 3 star rating is that they don't take credit or debit cards, limited menu (pretty much just sandwiches) & even though they have wooden picnic tables on the patio, they could be cleaned better. This place has great personality, history, pretty good service, and local color. If they had anything approaching good burgers, it would be even better. We've been coming to Indian Lake for years, but this was our first time eating at the Tilton Hilton. The service was OK, the outside patio is basic picnic tables near the lake. The ambience is interesting - you read about the tilting floor, and how it used to be an icehouse, right? And it's kind of a biker bar atmosphere, which is good for variety, but let me tell you: the burgers are awful. I guess they're big, but the meat reminded me of low-quality Taco Bell beef. It falls apart, and lacks the flavor or texture of normal beef. Actually it lacked any flavor. Ok, maybe I've been spoiled by homemade grilled burgers and Son of Thurman, and all that, but I'm ready to say it was the second worst burger I've ever had (the worst was at a museum cafeteria). Blech. My only advice for diners is to get something else. We're still looking for a good place to eat at the lake since Antonio's closed. This isn't it right now. At least the ice cream from the truck outside was good. My advice to the owners: reduce the size of the burgers to normal, and pick up some ordinary ground beef. read more
