Great Dogs, chili dog is my go to. But he hasn't been to this location once this season. Need updated location.

Awesome prices, awesome food and Murph is the absolute best. At the very least stop in for a good laugh!

Soggy roll, with a mess to top it off - we gave this place a try , and utterly disappointed the cashier was definitely on drugs or something with blood shot delirious eyes, not understanding the simple order. She has no clue what was going on, and was completely slurring all her words as if she were drunk. Sweat dripping down her face all over the food prep area. I couldn't believe I let these people prepare my food. The guy had fixed my hotdog with his gloveless hand while handing it to me. The hot dog was somewhat warm , with a mess of BS under it. I couldn't believe that this is what I'm supposed to eat. My husbands coney hotdog was falling apart before her took his first bite, a great way to taste his cold chili and canned queso cheese drenched hotdog. We will not be coming back- And they are not compliant to FDA food code regulations for sure. read more

Upgrading to 4 Stars. The last few times I stopped in I remembered to ask for extra ketchup. My dog was then served with extra napkins and a polite caution not to dribble ketchup on my shirt. Have not gotten a stale roll again. Now that I know they sell 50 cent ice cream sandwiches - that alone upgrades a star. read more

Always good. Murph's hot dogs are steamed natural casing with a nice snap. The buns are steamed and when loaded up do make the bun softer and falls apart a bit easier and makes it messy but besides that the flavor and value are there. read more

Murph's a must if you are travelling on Route 117 and passing through Lancaster. The menu is fairly simple but delicious. I don't know why, but he has ice cream sandwiches for $0.50 and a big sign out front to advertise them. Murph is exactly what you would expect from a hot dog guy...he refers to dollars as clams or beans and after he gives you your food he asks, "Is that the whole show?". The dogs are great and he has offers a condiment called mullish...you can figure it out I'm sure... How much can you say about a hot dog??? They're delicious and he does them right... Still the best of all time. If you don't get what's so special about Murph's you probably have a bad personality. Murph himself is going to be written about in history books. I would vote for his Mullish sauce in a presidential election. The hotdogs are so good every single time. I'm personally offended by every single person who isn't giving Murph's a five star review every single time. Murph's is just okay, he does have a great personality but Murph......you need to do an all natural casing hot dog instead of skinless or maybe have both. If I was to take a survey of 100 New Englanders, I would say at least 75 of them would prefer natural casing I bet. That being said it doesn't seem to be affecting Murph's business though, lol. Hot dogs good service disrespectful I was in line behind 3 guys ordering the girl asked anything else the guy that ordered already said whatever my friend wants he starts to order Murphy jumps to the window Barking and yelling at the guy ordering I quote he said "you wait right there no no no you stand over there and wait ect" they were all ordering together the guy that Murphy yelled at when his friends food was done even though they were eating and one of the 3 were paying he said he wasn't hungry anymore Murphy with a attitude that's fine get away from the truck while he was waiting for his friends to finish grabbing there food so I walked off alot of times going there he does joke about stuff he think is funny but is being totally disrespectful but this time he was not joking he was serious I will being copying this review to other review sites and will never purchase a water from him again what if I had my kids with me what a read more

This is, by far, the best hot dog place! I drive for a living and I have been to a bunch of hot dog trucks/stands. Murph's blows them all out of the water! Meals are quick, hot dogs are always hot, chili is amazing, and the personality of Murph is what makes a Murph Dog a Murph Dog. I have been going to Murph's for almost 10 years now. Murph is the best around. I went to murph my first time last winter as it was a usual spot for my boyfriend, i tagged along. We were greeted with a pleasant smile, and hilarious jokes. A sign on the sliding door that warned customers that the cold tempature causes shrinkage of the weiners I ordered the molly dog and a frito pie, and ever since i go about once a week for the same thing. I could just about kill someone at any time for a frito pie with extra turbo sauce now that im pregnant, and murph always delivers the spicy! I'll start with the quick version: Murph's is awesome. I do just fine in the kitchen and can make the heck out of a hot dog by myself, yet I drive 45 minutes each way to this guy's truck at least once a month to catch up and grab a couple dogs. Longer version: I've been using this site for years (absolutely love it) and this is the first restaurant that has touched my soul so deeply, borderline-unwholesomely that I have to write in on it. I go way back with this place, happened upon it about 3 or 4 years ago. I live in Medford now and will still drive out there at least once a month regardless of the time of year to visit Murph and hammer half a dozen dogs. I'm not sure I can do the experience justice in writing here... but I'll try. The Murph's experience is so much more than a hot dog. Murph himself is really what makes the trip in my book. Great guy, takes the job personally and seems to have a story for everybody. Clearly cares about his customers and, listening in, you can tell that most of them dig him. I think it's all to rare to find a person who really enjoys what he does and let's the people around him know it. Murph is that guy, no question. Now supposing you've gone not only to schmooze but also to enjoy a dog, I will say that it's an experience that is everything you could ever want in a hot dog. These are beautiful little pieces of Americana, total deliciousness, no fair dodging. Murph has a nice selection of dogs on the menu, but most importantly, a nice selection of ingredients in the back. He's a guy who will push the envelope in search of a better dog. One of my favorites has been his introduction of crushed Doritos into the hot dog world. Admit it, you love potato chips or Doritos on a sandwich. Realistically, the only thing better would be to put them on a hot dog. With cheddar cheese. And bacon. And some jalapenos... And maybe onions. ; ) PS - Ask him about the record on dogs at the truck. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. The cashier insisted on taking pictures of my sisters faces while they were wearing a mask. After kindly saying no, he continued to put the camera in their faces. After asking again to not photograph us, he still refused to put the camera away. They did not get our business today. Murph's hot dog truck is like an oasis in the lonely desert of Route 117. My wife and I were out for a Sunday drive in the area for the first time, saw Murph's listed on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We had a couple of laughs with Murph and what may have been his wife, then he dealt us a few miracles wrapped in buns. My wife got the chili cheese dog and I had a classic with onions. I usually don't go for chili on my dog, but I tried my wife's and it was fantastic. She sent me back for another one. It may be out of the way for most folks, but totally worth the drive.
