What we ordered was for a funeral. It was supposed to be a pretty wicker basket, 21" wide and 16' tall and have a mix of plants, red flowers, and a peace lily. What we received was a substantially smaller (less than 12") round ceramic pot. The entire thing from top to bottom was dark green (including the pot). There were no flowers, not a ribbon, or shred of color. It took them days to call me back (after a phone call and two text messages with pictures). A week after the funeral, the owner offered to swap it out (go to the deceased person's family and take away flowers and give them different ones???) The "card" that was included was a folded up piece of paper. The owner did finally say he would reduce the charge, but did not apologize. The arrangement was not nice, the owner was not nice, don't waste your money--very disappointing. read more

I ordered flowers through an online florist and Murfreesboro Flower Shop was the local floral company they used. We ordered an $85.00 "premium" bouquet. What we ordered online was NOT what was received. The bouquet we ordered was full of yellow roses, white and yellow carnations and described as a "joyful" burst of yellow-the recipients favorite color. What was received did not reflect the online picture at all. The flower arraignment that arrived had 4 yellow roses, 3 white lilies and what looked like yellow Gerber daisies. The received bouquet was puny and full of green leafy filler. I understand the vendor cant always match the picture with exact flowers, but at least try! When we contacted the online florist they offered 30% off the flowers. The recipient was pleased with the flowers received (we didn't dare show her a picture of what we ordered) so we let it go. Within 2 hours, Murfreesboro Flower Shop went back to the recipient's house and took the flowers back! Not only did they take them back but the driver lied, telling the recipient they'd return that afternoon to bring another bouquet. Surprise, not only did they repossess the original bouquet but they never returned with another flower arrangement. This bouquet was a Birthday gift so not only were her flowers repossessed but its been 2 days and no one has returned with new flowers. Picture posted of what was ordered and what was received. The BEST florist ever! David and his team are so easy and great to work with we had to order funeral pieces and 3 heart funeral sprays at a very last minute and they came through. Standing sprays were amazing but the funeral pieces were such a classy and elegant show stopper! I gave them colors and they blew my socks off for sure! I would definitely recommend them. If you are in need of amazing florists or are a do it yourselfer this is your shop. Their work is amazing and the TLC I saw them put into their arrangements was incredible! I was a do it yourselfer bride and they were so warm and caring opening their store and fridge for me to keep our arrangements for our wedding safe. Unbelievable Florist!!! The team was kind, compassionate, efficient and professional. Leigh was patient and very helpful in the decision making process for my daughter's wedding flowers. She gave us web sites to look at to pick the flowers and made suggestions after listening to my daughter's vision. The entire process was stress free. The day of the event the team was almost stealth and left the venue looking like a dream. The flowers were high quality and extremely fragrant. I'm writing this review, based on my firsthand experiences with Murfreesboro Flower Shop. I extremely concerned that I have experienced a disturbing pattern of behavior with your shop. Let me be specific. Two years ago, my wife ordered a large indoor palm plant for my home office. When she arrived to pick it up, she was told that plant was no longer available and you substituted if for a smaller lower quality palm that contained spider mites. I attempted to kill the mites, but the damage was too far gone and the plant died. Next my wife placed an order online for some flowers she needed for a wedding she was coordinated. When she got to the store she was told those flowers were no longer available and was offered some lower quality flowers instead. She refused to accept the flowers because it seemed like some sort of "bait and switch." Recently my wife's mother passed. Two close friends from out of town, sent flowers. After the flowers arrived we sent photos to the senders to thank them and in both cases, they were very surprised the plants were not the same quality and density depicted in the on-line photos. One sender requested you come and pick up the flowers up from our home because she was disappointed in what you delivered. We have ordered numerous flowers online for friends and family across the country and understand some variability is possible. In my opinion, your business practices need to be called into question. They were very helpful, asked what color her dress was, and described perfectly what it would look like. It was ready to go when I went to pick it up later that afternoon. It looked fantastic!They adjusted the strap to fit her wrist and it was a very reasonable price. The stag was friendly and I felt welcomed while I was there. My daughter absolutely loved it. I was so happy to see how excited she got when I gave it to her. She proudly wore it for the entire dance. I would not order any floral or greenery from them again. I had my little sister pick up 10 bunches of seeded eucalyptus for an event I was planning. After work I started to make garland out of them and could only use one bunch out of TEN. the eucalyptus were so dry, wilted, and the seeds were black. How could you make anything pretty out of these?! I was so disappointed. I paid over 100$ for these and I probably only used one to two bunches. How could you sell these to your customers and think it's ok? Obviously the owner did not care. He was very short with me and didn't care to listen. They asked "well do you want them delivered still or not?"
