Awesome local farm stand! Finally stopped by this gem after driving by frequently for medical appts in Eerie. Was delighted to find a variety of ripe and yummy veggies. Decided in a few tomatoes and peppers to go with dinner. Fairly priced and oh so fresh. The lady farmer working was so nice and inquired as to if if I'd tried their corn. Since I hadn't they sent me home with a couple free ears - how nice! They also shared I can put the entire ear (with covering leaves) directly in the microwave to heat it up - what a great hack. Highly recommend & will def be back! read more

I have not been here for many years. I should have thought of returning sooner. Back in the "old days" before Whole Foods, before Yelp, even before the internet, this was the place my friends and I got local farm fresh vegetables in Boulder. Corn was sold the day it was picked from the fields. That was the best thing back in the 70s and 80s, for summer produce here. It still is. I moved to getting the corn at WF and some other veggies from some Longmont farms in the late 90s when Boulder got the first Whole Foods in the Rocky Mountains. It was their division flagship store for decades. Eventually Whole Foods stopped buying from Munsons, brought in "fresh local" from as far as AZ. I adapted to old corn or even the "Colorado" contribution, cold storage, factory packed from Olathe. Never the same or nearly as good as Bounty County finest. Desperate this summer for the real thing as my father used to grow (and I had to help weed) we drove out Munsons and not only did we get todays' fresh corn, the bicolor variety I like, just hours from the field, but also, zucchini, green beans and a tomato. And they even had some Palisade peaches and Rocky Ford cantaloupe. So we bought that too. The staff was wonderful, the prices good and it all smelled so enticing in the car, we started eating the green beans raw from the bag, for a snack! We will be back very soon. read more

Updated: Almost all of the one-star reviews here are a result of interactions customers had with "the woman behind the vegetable stand." She was not helpful or offering assistance. She was hostile...towards a child...then me, resulting in an altercation. It is a pattern. I am not the first. The whole experience was so cruel and bizarre. One of the owners (?) (long grey hair, thin) yelled at my 2-year old for pushing a wheelbarrow. If you're going to yell at any child, especially mine, hell hath no fury. We had an altercation. My two-year old was pushing a wheelbarrow with her corn and pumpkins she chose down the walking paths of wildflower section of the farm. This woman came and yelled us for having a wheelbarrow in the wildflower section. There were no signs that wheelbarrows aren't allowed in the wildflower section. I said, "Can I give some feedback? You need signs here if there are rules because we didn't know." She proceeded to argue with me that I should have known the etiquette and asked for help first. Then, when I went to check out with my wildflower bouquet, she then told me I cut the wildflowers wrong. Again, I didn't know there was a special way we are supposed to cut the flowers. I suggested she put signs out saying people should ask for assistance in the wildflower area before cutting. She didn't seem to agree. I also said we didn't come here with the intention of hurting the farm. I still seemed to be dismissed as disrespectful for not knowing. All in all, she sucked all of the joy out of our entire visit. And anyone who yells at a 2-year old needs to think long and hard about what kind of a person they are. Never, ever returning. read more

So fun! Huge pumpkin patch you can walk through and select your own pumpkin. We went later in the season, but there were still a ton of great options. They've also got a corn maze, but we were all too old and lame to check it out. Up front you'll find more pumpkins, gourds, dry corn, veggies, honey, and cute decor stuff. I loved their whole set up for Halloween. They had a great variety of things to do, and it was all free! We came late on the 31st, eager to get some last minute photos. And I'm glad we did! They had a nice location on a corner outside Boulder. The field was pretty large, and they had a nice corn maze too! They had a ton of cool pumpkins and gourds for sale, and some other good vegetables too! We grabbed a nice butternut squash. We'll be back for more during next season!! Loved the overall atmosphere, and the farmers were so nice and welcoming! read more

Plenty of pumpkins to choose from and they had some cute props out for pictures. We drove a little further to come here because they advertised the farmers market. It consisted of bad tomatoes and I believe you can pick your own corn. If you are local, support this place and go here but it's not worth driving far to come here. Decided to stop by here to collect some pumpkins and I've got to say, for my very first visit to a pumpkin patch in Colorado, I am very satisfied. The farm itself is extremely charming and it is super spacious so I felt very safe in accordance to the COVID restrictions. They had loads of produce to choose from, and despite picking the pumpkins pretty last minute in the day (not to mention just a week before Halloween!) the selection was pretty good. The super pretty drive up to this farm is definitely a plus as well! Also another plus: No entrance fee nor reservation needed! read more

Super cute little farm, we went there pretty late in the season and they still have lots of pumpkins to chose from! Plus a ton of big ones along with ones that were all sorts of colors that they had already picked and sitting at the front! The prices seemed a little steep to me, as it was $6 for a small, $15 for a medium, and $20 for a large, but that was my first experience actually picking a pumpkin off the vine, so I don't know much. Great produce. In season they have great sweet corn. Peaches & Cream variety. Corn on the cob should be prepared within 24 hrs of picking if possible-before much of the sugar starts converting to starch. Ask if it was picked w/in 24hrs. Second best way to prep corn on the cob: shuck (of course) and place ears in pan of cold water. Put on med high heat, covered, bring to boil. As soon as it boils, turn it off and let sit covered in the hot water for 8 minutes. Don't peek! You'll let the steam out! Enjoy. Best method (best corn on the cob ever) is roasting in a bed of coals. Corn should be soaked in water overnight (husk on) or at least a couple hours and then buried in bed of hot coals (wrapped in foil or 6+ wrapped in chicken wire to hold together and make handling easier) and allowed to cook around 30 minutes. Turn once during cooking. Time varies, wait until husk is pretty much black. Awesome when done right, lots of work. read more

I've frequented this family farm stand for years. Now I have to take out a loan to buy average vegetables from them. 3 corns for $2. Really? Everything is now 3 for $2. King Soopers and the rest have corns 8 and 10 to 12 for a $1. After Bob Munson passed, I don't think things are the same. Take it down the road these days for a better deal! read more

Wow! My husband and I can't wait to go back for more corn! The lady working there was incredibly nice and took her time to tell me her favorite way to prepare it. (Embarrassingly, I'd never cooked corn in the husk before.) She actually recommended leaving the husk on and microwaving for 4-6 minutes. I was skeptical, but I tried it when we got home and it was perfectly steamed in the husk. On top of the friendly service, they have a great variety of produce at great prices. We also got a bag of the most aromatic basil, and some of the sweetest tomatoes I've ever tasted. We're definitely going back for more. read more

The best sweet corn available during the summer. Picked that day, take it home and eat it that night. Doesn't get any sweeter. We get other produce there as well, but the sweet corn is the best. We also go there for our Christmas tree, and have gone to their pumpkin patch as well. read more

After getting the stink eye and attitude from the farmer across the street, this farm stand is a dream. Their corn is the greatest, bar none and the people who work here are very sweet. At the Boulder Farmers Market they tend to stick to selling just corn and green beans, but the farm stand offers more variety like onions, zucchini, tomatoes, etc. I only have a few vendors that I really like at the Boulder market as I lived in LA and had access to possibly one of the best farmer's markets in the US in Santa Monica, so my bar is set very high. But these guys are definitely one of the ones that make Boulder Farmers Market worth visiting and the best corn I have ever tasted!! read more
