Such a great representation of locally produced produce food. Loved the beer and wine from the area. Our favorites were the hot sauces and the French pastries, wow! Definitely recommended for locals and visitors!

My beef is with the board and how they've treated a vendor I've purchased from for many years. I started buying olives, olive oil, and vinegar from Karl at Healthy Harvest in Golden at the farmers market there. He's been selling at Boulder and Longmont for years also. Suddenly, about two years ago, the Board arbitrarily decided that HH couldn't sell their olive oils at the markets anymore! You can't grow olives here. That's just a fact. They get single sourced oils from Tuscany and Greece and package them. It was fine at these two markets until suddenly it wasn't. That was bad enough, but now I saw a competing company selling at the market! This is seeming like a personal vendetta now that is hurting a good local, family-run company. I've tried to talk to the board chairman of these markets and get dismissed. Their arguments don't make logical sense. They compare olive oil to bananas. Ugh, no. And especially if they allow a competitor to sell. I don't go as often now to this market, and think people ought to know that the current board has issues that are counterproductive. It's too bad because otherwise it's the best market I've attended. They need to stop with the personal games and work to make these markets more welcoming for good local farms and companies.

The main produce vendor does a fill up a bag for 10 bucks. This alone makes the market worth it for our family. The produce is extremely fresh some of it even needs some extra scrubbing to get the dirt off! This summer we've been able to pick up a variety of veges from potatoes, garlic, green beans, broccoli, carrots, squashes, corn and lettuces. You can really load up the 5 lb bag that they supply. Usually they even throw in some extra stuff too! Typically, they'll have some local music playing if the weather is nice and it usually is. Some of the other vendors include bread, meat, chilies, sangria and a few other interesting selections. Each time I've been they have a couple food trucks and some other eatery options as well. They have a tent where people gather to snack on some fresh goods. Overall, good local market and you can really make out well getting the 10 dollar deal from the produce vendor.
