Munson Cleaners is a staple in the Lathrup Village community. They are located on the corner of Southfield Rd & 11 Mile Rd near I-696. With construction season, it can be a little tricky getting to their place of business. Veteran customers know how to finesse the construction barrels. The service is great here! I love that they have a drive-up window for drop-off and pick-up. I recently had four dresses cleaned. For pick-up they even offered to bring them out to my car and hang them in the back seat. On another occasion, I brought two jackets to them for cleaning that they expressed concern because they were multi-color and had never been cleaned before. One was a white jacket with royal blue trim and the other was just the opposite, which was royal blue with white trim. The concern was whether the colors would bleed onto the white. The jackets were cleaned just fine. The only problem was that some of the pearl buttons were scorched. The business does have a warning disclaimer behind the counter about decorative items on clothing. The buttons are still white. The scorching is not very noticeable to the average person unless they are looking closely at the jackets so I have continued to patronize this business. When it comes to value for their service, I wish they would post their pricing so I can plan accordingly for my costs ahead of dropping my items off. Note: You pay when you pickup your items. You are charged a service fee if you use a credit card versus cash. read more

"Annyoung Haseyo", which means "hello, how are you" in Korean...say those magic words and you're practically family here. Do you speak spanish? There are employees who will also greet you with an hola or buenos dias. I love this place for the warmth, diversity, and oh, I almost forgot, AFFORDABLE dry cleaning! I take my work clothes and other outfits here on the regular and they do a fantastic job! Sits right on the corner for easy access. I heart you Munsons. read more

I have been looking for a place to do my professional dry cleaning since I arrived here in MI in 2005. I tried a place on the east side of Detroit and they did a close to good job, and I tried a few places in southfield. One day while driving down southfield road close to I 696 I noticed a cleaners with a sign with 50 percent off sale. I pulled over went inside and was greeted by a Korean lady with a smile. I left a few pieces of clothing to see how the service would be like. A few days later I picked up my clothes, and checked to see if they did a good job. To be honest for the price they did a decent job, some times you have to check if they missed some spots on your light color clothes but overall they do a decent job and the price is good. Ive been doing business with them every week for five years straight.. They even greet you by your name if you are valued customer. read more

Just picked up my clothes today and was devastated! My favorite black blouse that I love to wear to the club had 2 HOLES on it and LINT everywhere. When I dropped off my shirt it didn't have any holes in it nor did I have lint on my shirt! I also had 3 dresses that looked the same from when I dropped them off! I informed the manger I wanted a refund he told me it was not his fault that my shirt turned out that way. He stated that my shirt is probably made out of cheap material , (which its not) and only refunded me for the cleaning of my shirt, which was $2.70! My boyfriend usually goes here to get his jeans cleaned and they come out pretty decent, so I assumed I wouldn't of had this problem. I will never go back there again. PEOPLE please AVOID going here! I would not want this to happen to you! I didn't want to give them a STAR but I had to in order to post this complaint! read more

As soon as I walked in the door with my comforter, the Asian woman raised her voice and said"we no take comforter", "we no take comforter", "too many in storage". Wow, what kind of customer service is this?? I'll never go back there again!! And there were several other customers in the store at the same time! How embarrassing! read more
