If you're sitting in the back, I'd recommend getting up and starting to walk toward the door or ringing the bell early so you're ready to get off. This happened on Friday, October 19th around 6:15pm. It was slightly confusing which side to stand on. I actually first went straight to the bus stop on the north side of the street since that's the stop I saw. But my spidey senses starting tingling, so I looked closer on google maps. That's when I realized I should be on the south side of the street. It wasn't apparent that there was a bus stop there as construction is going on, so there's scaffolding all along the sidewalk. The bus ride itself was fine. From 14th and Church St, it's just a 15+ min ride to my friend's house in twin peaks. (I believe there were 24 stops on my trip.) The downside of this line is the bus only comes every 20 mins, so if you just miss one, you'll have to wait another 20. The bus itself wasn't very packed. Lots of seats, so I didn't have to stand. I believe this is the only option on muni to get to twin peaks. Definitely cheaper than a ride share as it's only $2.75. Decent option if you're not in a hurry.

I'm the first person to rate the 37-Corbett? What's wrong with you people?…read more This is, by far, the most amazing bus line in the entire Muni system. When I first became a Muni freak five years ago, I would see this thing's route on the bus-shelter maps and think, "Huh?" It looked cool, but it would also require some time to ride the thing from start to finish and back again. Fast forward a few years. I decided to bite the bullet when I saw a 37 belching down Haight Street. I ran to Masonic and waited, catching my breath, for the bus to turn the corner. I continued to wait. And wait some more. It finally made the turn, and when the driver opened the door--he got out of the bus. I had hit one of its termini. So I got on and waited, and I wasn't disappointed. This is a crazy route. It goes every which way, and there were times at which I was actually close to my neighborhood but didn't know it. I recognized some street names, but I had never driven them, let alone walked or bused them. A half hour later, I got to the other terminus. This one is just below Twin Peaks. The driver was cool with allowing me to wait in the bus, so I did--and did almost the whole route in reverse. I rode this bus again recently, this time on one of the new hybrid buses, a mini version for this bus line's small streets. The experience was even more enjoyable, both because I had my dad with me, who loves this kind of stuff, and because the driver talked to us while eating his sandwich at the Twin Peaks terminus. If you're in love with public transit or Muni, or if you just want to see how the other 863rd lives, take the 37-Corbett.

I've been rip-roarin' to write a scathing two-star review of the 6-Hayes/Parnassus, mainly because…read moreI was so angry that Muni not only eliminated my beloved 21-Hayes but also ruined more of the fabric of east-west bus routes by combining the eastern potion of the 21's old route with the western portion of the old 6-Haight/Parnassus's route. So only one bus to catch on Haight Street at Divisadero. And since the already truncated 21's route was so pathetically short and not useful since they messed with it after COVID, what's the point of this now? And then the bus line actually came, and it's actually ridiculously convenient for me, much more convenient than the old 6 used to be. I still have my issues with it. The main one is for my Hayes Street neighbors who live west of Masonic Avenue. How do they catch the bus now? They either have to walk all the way to Stanyan Street and wait forever for a not terribly useful 33-Ashbury/18th Street, or they have to walk uphill to the 5-Fulton. That's poor planning, especially for people with limited mobility who have trouble traversing steep hills. The entire point of a bus on Hayes Street is that between Stanyan and Scott Streets, it's more or less flat--or at least as flat as a half-mile in San Francisco can realistically be. But another thing happened when they killed my line and moved the 6 over to my street; I can now ride the bus almost doorstep to doorstep both to the Upper Haight and to my brother's house. That has been super useful to me--maybe even too useful, because when I'm lazy, I sometimes take the bus to Free Gold Watch instead of doing my normal walk through the Panhandle, which is better for my health, although sometimes not for my bottomless irritation with my fellow San Franciscans. I still want to rage against the dying of the light--the light in this case being a familiar old bus line--but I would be lying if I said that this change hasn't been useful to me personally. Muni could actually solve most of this problem by having either the 6 or the 7 stay on Stanyan and then turn onto Hayes (which ends at Stanyan) and stay on that street until it turns wherever Downtown. But that would make too much sense, and the SFMTA is too busy spending its money painting huge red zones all over the city to do what's right for local bus riders and drivers alike. This should be a three-star review, but the added convenience is worth at least a Yelp star.

Presidio Go Shuttle - Downtown Route Date: Sunday, September…read more20, 2026 Destination: Downtown San Francisco to Presidio Tunnel Tops The Presidio Go Shuttle is a convenient and free way to get from downtown San Francisco to the Presidio. I took the Downtown Route from downtown to Presidio Tunnel Tops. I like this option because otherwise I would have to take the MUNI 43 bus, which is out of the way when coming from downtown. The Downtown Route ends at the Presidio Transit Center, next to the Presidio Visitor Center, where you can transfer to the South Hills Route to reach other destinations throughout the Presidio. The Downtown Route makes stops at: * 50 Beale Street * Drumm & California * Letterman Digital Arts Center * Tides Converge * Presidio YMCA * Presidio Transit Center I really like having this free shuttle option because it makes getting to the Presidio much easier without having to drive. It's especially convenient for visiting the museums, YMCA, Tunnel Tops, and other attractions in the Presidio. Overall, the Presidio Go Shuttle Downtown Route is a great transportation option for locals and visitors, especially if you don't want to drive or worry about parking.

We were literally standing for more than an hour after which we saw the bus coming.its unnecessary waste of time. Because of them we missed almost an hour of air show.on complaining about the schedule the bus driver is giving an excuse that there is parade ongoing. I came in about an hour before I was told the place was closing at 9:30pm. There was a security lady, though she was definitely nice and helpful, I just didn't vibe with this transit center. There were about three transient or homeless persons that were hanging out or sleeping on the seats. I was one of the few people there and I said as security, why don't they regulate the place more. She told me it's just normal there with the homeless. I guess they just put a blind eye to it. But think it's kind of unmindful of safety of travelers. Even as a modern transit space, it does looks nice, with very tall escalators inside, but the safety was not exactly felt here, especially at night. Hopefully they'll actually enforce things than just let things be. But perhaps it's foreshadowing how things are handled in the city.

True story: I got off the T-Third at this station just to use a mailbox. OK, I also got off the…read moreT-Third at this station so that I could FtR a Muni station, but I did have important letters to mail, and my usual 20th Street stop didn't have a mailbox nearby that I knew of. Why does 3rd Street in Dogpatch have so few mailboxes? I know that there's never a mailbox when you need one--not that anyone seems to need them anymore--but San Francisco does have quite a few mailboxes in prominent and strategic places. So before I headed over to Dogpatch, I used Google Street View to find a mailbox close to where I was going. I spied the one on the northeast corner of 3rd & 22nd, and I thought there was a 22nd Street station. Once I pulled the cord while on the T-Third, I realized I was wrong. So I trudged back up 3rd Street to 22nd, deposited my mail, and walked on to 20th Street. If I need to use that mailbox again, I'll probably just get off at 20th Street and walk the extra block (21st doesn't cross 3rd Street), but I'm glad I had the experience--and the FtR. I should point out that things get pretty desolate in that single block between 22nd and 23rd Streets, so if you are headed to 22nd Street, especially at night, 20th is a safer bet even though it's technically farther--even though it's not.
