This place was bangin! The pizza had so much flavor. The meat lovers and a slice of pizza with the oregano no cheese and tomatoes basil and olive oil. They even took eight minutes to heat up pizza that they had on display and let me tell you it was worth the wait.He bragged about his pizza and he was right he also told me that they had the best wings, but they were basically known for their wings so next time I'm in tampa I am definitely going to go try it. i ordered online for curbside pick up. When I got there, I called and let them know and was told the delivery driver should be back soon?? After 20 minutes, I decided to go inside and just grab my food. I waited a few minutes for someone to come out from behind the curtain and they didnt even know whether I had already paid or not. I then stood inside for another 15 minutes waiting for my pepperoni pizza and a salad. This is now over an hour in. This family owned pizza establishment has the best homemade blue cheese dressing on the planet... Full Stop I work close by in the financial section of Tampa/Brandon and find myself here regularly either solo or with various co-workers due to the lunch specials being competitively priced and filling. The buffalo chicken sub combo is an absolute steal and tastes amazing with the above mentioned blue cheese. In addition the meat combo pizza slices consist of delicious chopped meat and cheese that is not greasy/fake feeling like you get at some of the major chains. It's nice to see a small business that is not only family owned, but family run. I regularly see the family hard at work making delicious food during the lunch and dinner rush, and yet they always make the time to greet me and engage in conversation. This friendly atmosphere combined with the amazing wings and blue cheese is why my wife makes me drive 50 miles round trip from my home to pick up their wings for our guests or romantic dinners at home. If only yelp had 6 stars to give, because I would do so. Praise is not something that comes easily in terms of restaurant food (especially with pizza and wings), as it just seems everything today is so bland. Munchies is a great break from that and I encourage anyone in the area to give it a shot. I also encourage you to temper your belief of some of the more negative reviews I see here. Not saying they are the product of an entitled yelp culture that leads people to lash out over the internet whenever their slightest whim isn't catered to for 10 dollars, but I've not encountered any of these problems in my over 50 visits to this establishment. read more

The chicken wings in mild sauce are out Of this world! My husband found this mom n pops eatery about a year ago and we now go 3-5 days a week for lunch or dinner to go. Their blue cheese dip for the wings is homemade and it's fabulous with their wings. The owner really care about his customers. Very clean as well. I definently recommend eating here. I get the feeling the pizzas are sitting half-or 3/4 baked - then when a custom order comes in, they add the toppings, and pop it in the oven to finish.I know pizza places do what they have to do to keep up -to an EXTENT. On a busy Friday night, pizza should not be served so ....... dried out. Even the crust varies a lot, from pie-to-pie.Too often, too tough. Way too well-done. Sometimes, way too little sauce. Order it with pepperoni or sausage?? it's barely there. Certainly not worth the up-charge. CLUE : Put some ingredients ON the pizza, people ARE willing to PAY the extra if they know they're gonna GET. People don't order extra items to just get a tiny pinch of that item. When I order something extra, I want to see it and taste it. People brag about food when they get generous amounts of what they want, not when they save 25 cents and get skimpy'd out. One more thing I have seen, maybe 3 times over the years - people seem to be very dissatisfied with the chicken wings. Dunno why - I never ordered them. I always wonder when someone takes the trouble to pack things up, leave their home and drive back to a restaurant to complain and ask for their money back. Your counter help is pretty good, very friendly - but it looks like you have a lot more turnover than other small mom & pop places like yours. Too bad. Mr. Munchie - it's PIZZA - you can do better. A LOT better. The neighborhood may not be a predominantly Italian neighborhood, but if a REALLY good pizza place opened nearby, I'd be worried if I were you. The prices are way too high, about 1 dollar per wing and definitely not worth it. The wing sauce is greasy and overpowered with vinegar. I had the scourcher wings. I've tried there pizza too and feel it is also overpriced compared to quality. The sauce is bland and the other ingredients lacked flavor as well. I've ordered from this restaurant at least 4 times now and never felt like I got what I paid for. There seems to be a lack in management and quality of prodict is a serious issue. I first had Muchie's a few weeks ago at my company meeting. We ordered pizza, wings, and salad. I only ate the wings because I didn't think the salad nor the pizza looked very appetizing. I loved the wings though. So, I decided to go on my lunch break since it's right down the street from my job. They had a lunch special: 5 wings, 1 slice of cheese pizza or fries, and a soda for $5.99. Pretty good deal! I chose the wings and pizza option. The pizza was not good....I've had much better; however, I still loved the wings. They're perfectly fried with just the right amount of sauce in my opinion. My coworkers and I used to order from here on our lunch breaks but we don't anymore. We'd order typically in a group of around 5 or 6 people (we order because we have short lunch breaks at my job). Well instead of dividing the delivery fee among everyone (which is what most other companies do) they charge everyone $2 individually. So they were charging us like $14 delivery fee for food that was all coming to the same place. $8 for a small grilled chicken salad and the dressing they provide comes in a tiny cup and isn't enough. However, you can get an extra tiny dressing cup for an additional $.50. The last straw was when I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (that says in the menu comes with honey mustard) and an additional tiny cup of honey mustard (knowing it would just come in that tiny cup the salad dressing comes in) for the extra $.50. Honestly I wasn't surprised when the food came with only one tiny honey mustard cup but I was still charged the $.50 for the additional. I feel like the owners just try to make a little extra cash here and there by doing stuff like this. I don't recommend this place, at least not for delivery. read more

I just came from Munchies I had a slice of cheese and a slice of chicken alfredo pizza. The establishment was very clean. The service staff greeted customers as they came in with greeting of the day and a bright smile. I am born and raised in Jersey. I must say the pizza was as close to home a I have ever gotten. The prices are very reasonable. There was much take out going on while I was there 12-11-2014 1240 pm. I will for sure go back and try other thing from there menu. I decided to visit this place after hearing great things from friends. I decided to go with the pesto pizza already prepared and just needed heating. The wait was ridiculous... But Very revealing. After sitting waiting I was able to hear everyone's order, and I was the only one waiting for the pesto pizza. I then witness the cook, come from the back, go thru several pizza boxes with his bare hands looking for a box to obviously package my pizza. Then it gets better, he wipes his hands on his clothing then grabs my pizza with his BARE HANDS from the pizza pan, no spatula, and caries it with his bare hands to the kitchen, in front of EVERYONE! I can only imagine what filth happens in the kitchen. I of course canceled my order due to this and was referred to the owner, who then explains to me that the cooks hands are clean. LOL I was disgusted along with everyone else waiting for an order at the actions of the cook, BUT more so at the response from the owner! I will NEVER eat there again, and if you are wise and don't want a bacterial/viral infection or botulism you will stir clear too! A good pizza after a long time.. Definitely not the run of the mill pizza chains.. Loved the thin slices.. Ordered a veg calzone. The host suggested there is a special on the Caprese pizza which is a pizza with mozzarella pesto basil and cherry tomatoes. I tried that and liked it very much. I also got a slice of cheese pizza with mushrooms and olives.. I loved it.. It was soft with the right amount of toppings. I used to go to this place a lot and would sit & relax & eat my 2 slices of cheese & fries. The last time I went there, the fries tasted like they were redropped. Tasted almost like cardboard. So I asked for a new order. Befor they were taken away I broke 2 fries in half & put them back. When the "new fresh" order came I noticed the 4 1/2 pieces of fries were in the basket and the basket of fries were darker then before. i came here for lunch and had 2 slices of pizza. i had a slice of plain cheese, which was really good! i also had a slice of veggie pizza on thicker bread and it was ok. the next time i come back will only be for the cheese pizza. they charged extra for marinara, which i thought was weird, but i bought it cuz i must have marinara with my pizza. the marinara tasted like it was canned, but at least it made the thick crust on my pizza enjoyable to eat. read more

We Ordered pizza and Wings from here tonight, and everything was amazing as usual. I ordered and ex-large pizza with mushrooms on half, the cook accidentally put mushrooms on the whole pizza. I wouldn't of even noticed until I had gotten home, but the young lady who gave me my order noticed and quickly pointed it out to me. She apologized and offered to make me a new pizza right away. I declined because it wasn't a big deal to me and I didn't want to be wasteful. I was impressed that she even offered. The customer service is out standing here and that's hard to find now a days.
