The one behind the counter was literally on this phone while talking to me trying to take my order then it took about more than 15 minutes to reheat two slices of pizza that tasted disgusting. My wife and I picked up to-go from Munchies for an evening Stranger Things watch party. Our friends placed an order for two extra-large pizzas and 30 wings, half hot and half mild. We arrived a little early for the estimated pick-up time but went to pay anyway and wait. $84 seems a bit steep for two pizzas and some wings but that's what it was. When we walked in, someone in the back was yelling at another coworker. It was loud and profanity-laced. The woman at the counter looked back to see what was happening and then welcomed us like that was normal. She was friendly and told us our order would be up soon. This place was popping. People in and out. Pick-ups and walk-in orders were constant. They have a wide variety of food, including burgers, fish, sandwiches, and Italian dishes such as lasagna and pasta in addition to pizza and wings. The place is small on the inside. A little dining area that could maybe seat 15 people if it was packed. No one was dining in though. Everyone that came in seemed to be waiting a while. Our food was finally up about 20 minutes after the scheduled time we were told. With our goods in hand, we headed to our friends to dig in. The two pizzas looked great. Thinner on the bottom, decent crust but not overly bready. We got pepperoni and a meatball. The meatball had thinly sliced meatballs all over which we liked. The cheese was good. Everything was hot and fresh. You get a little bit of grease drip off these slices but it wasn't overly greasy. The crust had a good fresh bread taste to it. Their website says they make their pizza sauce fresh in-house but I don't remember it standing out to me. I remember the cheese and toppings and the pizza as a whole. It all worked well together. The wings were also pretty good. I liked the crunch they had. They seemed to be high-quality wings. They had a decent amount of meat on them and were good-sized wings. We couldn't really tell a difference between the mild and the hot though. Really, only the wings that were at the bottom swimming in the sauce had good flavor. The ones on top seemed to be lacking the zing we expected. I'd suggest Munchies if you haven't been before. It's a family-owned and operated place and it's been there for a while. I like Munchies! My first time getting wings from this chain was when we first moved to Brandon. The wing sauce was very tasty. I hadn't been to one in a while until recently. Yep, Popeye's was only accepting cash that day. So, my coworker was craving pizza. We found Munchies nearby. This particular location has a variety of items. They even have hamburgers. We decided to get the slice and wings special that comes with a drink for $6.99. Great decision! The large slice of pizza was fresh and delicious. The wings were just as I remembered them. This time I got the medium wing sauce to give it an extra kick. The wings were also hot and fresh. I think the only negative was that it took a while for the food to come out. It wasn't a super long time, but a little slower than average. Other than that, we were very pleased with our meal. I also got an order of the garlic knots. They were good, but I've had better. I ordered way too much and couldn't finish it all. Next time I know to just get the slice and wing special only. We'll be back soon. It was a good deal, and a very tasty meal. read more

Little bit of a wait here. We started with the garlic knots. They were very crunchy and not really what we expected. They visually looked good but didn't deliver the taste or texture we were looking for. The marinara seems a little bland and not too flavorful. But the pizza we got (lunch special) was pretty good! I took my son here and we had wings, cheese fries and a sandwich. Everything is top notch. Wings were crispy and came with loads of sauce. Sandwich bread was super super fresh, sausage was excellent, mozzarella was tasty, stringy and smooth. Cheese fries are exceptional. Cooked just right, excellent cheese sauce, just delicious. Horrible. I called to place an order at 8 pm and was placed on hold for 5 minutes. When the employee eventually returned I was denied service service because the restaurant is closing at 9. At this point the employee tried to hang up on me when I stated yelp says you are open until 10. The employee rudely responded "well, we close at 9". I attempted to tell her the restaurant may want to get that updated, but was hung up mid sentence. I could not try the food, although after this interaction I would not recommend munchies as the employees are unfriendly and it appears management is unreliable. read more

All that is forgivable if the food is amazing or cheap. It's neither. It's acceptable, but if I pay over $11 for 8-10" philly cheese steak, fries and soda I'm expecting a more than acceptable. And, despite being the only person in there at 11:05 am on a weekday, it took over 15 minutes to get my order. I don't usually like leaving bad reviews, but this place fell flat on all fronts. I was left angry that I didn't go one door left for amazing food at the same price (La Isla Cafe), or two doors right for good food served fast at a great price (China Wok). This used to be one of my favorite places to get wings. I had not been back to the area in awhile but recently stopped in and had the wings. I was disappointed that what I loved most about the wings had changed or at least this night. The sauce was watered down, thin and bland and the drumstick wings were very small. I used to love the salty and rich flavor of the sauce. Can't say I'm in a hurry to come back but maybe I will give it one more try before giving up on Munchies. Ordered sampler platter expecting to share. Upon delivery I got only 1 cheese stick and 1 jalapeño popper the rest of the box was onion rings and mushrooms. The manager says that's how they serve it. WHO orders a sampler appetizer and expects 1 item of the mentioned contents??? The lasagna was sadly another disappointment dry pasta noodles with barely any sauce not even sure it had meat in it as I certainly couldn't find it and a glob of melted cheese. I went to Munchies with a coworker. We both had the daily special, wings & Pizza. I really enjoyed the pizza. I had the BBQ sauce in the wings, just okay. Coworker had medium wings and enjoyed them. I will be back to try the wings with a different sauce. The pizza was very good and will definitely do that again. Nice, quick little lunch time spot in an area starved for good lunch spots. Long review alert but worth the read...Do not spend your money at this place! If I could give Munchies no stars I would! My family & friends have been customers for many many years. On Thursday night I order their wing special which I paid $57.00 for. By the time I got home & we started eating the wings, everyone said the same thing, the wings were not fresh, tasted like they were previously cooked & warmed up & were hard & dry. I attempted to call Munchies the same night to inform them, but no answer & no voicemail. I called the next day & spoke with Mike who was very rude & came off as if he was blaming me, asking why I did not call sooner (which I tried the same day). He wanted me to count how many wings were left. I did & gave him the # & he said he would replace them & I need to bring them back, which was not a problem. I advised I still wanted a manager call back which I never got. I called back on Sat & spoke with a manger prior to going in & speaking with the owner. I took the wings back as requested, the owner now said he won't replace them as Mike told me originally, but can offer a discount of 20% on my next order. Most of the wings were returned except what we had already tasted & the others were thrown away that was on our plates (28 out of 40, about 3/4th returned). The owner had the nerve to say it cost him money, but Munchies had no problem taking my money, giving me unfresh food not cooked as I asked & inconveniencing me on top of that!. The math does not even add up! So Munchies messed up my order & offered one thing then changed what they originally offered. On top of expected me to continue to buy from them by offering a discount on top of what I had already lost. After the way I was treated as a customer, I don't think so. End of story is $57 lost & a good customer for many years lost. Our family that has always patronized Munchies will never go back there again. The employees & owners need to work on their customer service skills if they plan on staying in business! This experience has made me cut ties with Munchies for good!
