If you were to eat at a Beef 'O' Brady's, might as well dine at the original! Living in Orlando, there is not many close by so while visiting Brandon, I knew this was the spot to grab lunch at. Beware of the parking lot. It is a bit tight and was difficult to secure a spot since this location is in the end of a plaza. We were seated right away. There looked to be many large tables that maybe had left recently but still had all the plates, cups, and silverware everywhere. The restaurant had tons of tvs airing a variety of sporting games. Our server was wonderful. She did seem a bit rushed but was so friendly and kind. We got our diet coke quickly. We ordered a cuban sandwich with curly fries to share. The food did take a while to come out. We really appreciated the sandwich and fries coming out already plated separately with a half sandwich and half the order of curly fries on each plate. LOVED this place. Fantastic service - one of the owners stopped by our table. Very friendly enthusiastic gal. Not a generic manager visit. What a treat as we were from out of state in Brandon for the USA Flag Football World Championships. As soon as we chose a table, we got menus. Our waitress was on top of it all the way from start to finish, attentive without being a nuisance. Once we ordered, our meal arrived quickly - the grilled fish with the lemon pepper seasoning arrived hot off the grill. It was a very generous portion and delicious. My friend ordered the sweet maple dry rub chicken wings - also delicious (yes, I had bites) and the burger wrapped and grilled on a flour tortilla. It was every bit as good as a traditional burger. The curly fries that came with it tasted like real potatoes and not dripping in grease like fresh potatoes would be. ended up here because of the Brandon Xmas parade, decided to have something to eat prior to the parade. My wife had the chicken wings with the Sweet Thai Chili sauce, I had the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries. My wife liked her chicken wings, no major complaints there. My chicken sandwich was a bit salty in the crispier sides, I'm sure it was due to the batter used. I looked a bit dry, but the chicken was not. We had water so can't speak to their drinks. Staff was super friendly and readily available when needed so I always consider that a plus in a restaurant. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, and food took average time to be served. There is parking in front of the establishment, however, since there are other establishments in the area, it could be an issue finding parking on a busy day. read more

They have the nicest manager and some of the best diner food I've had in a long time. It's not like the other Beef O bradys. They have a great chef team and have amazing specials and deals that you can't find anywhere else. Honestly better food and a better deal than any other restaurant I've seen. It was a spur of the moment decision to order takeout after leaving an appointment in the area. I'm surprised that there aren't that many reviews for a restaurant that has been in Brandon since 1985. I didn't even know it was the Original Beefs until seeing the sign as I was parking the car. I'm glad that I finally checked it out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. One of the nice ladies told me to order at the bar. It was all very quick and friendly. There were quite a few people eating and drinking while I was there at around 4:45 pm. The decor is very traditional and old, but it was cozy. I decided to get the Boom Boom Shrimp and the Traditional Wing Basket. I wasn't sure which sauce to order. I was told that many people like the Kentucky Bourbon and it happened to be a very good recommendation. It was sweet but had a nice little kick. My 92 year old mother was very happy with it too. She ate 5 of the 8 wings. That's amazing because she doesn't eat much nowadays. They were a pretty good size as well. We were both very satisfied. I wasn't totally blown away, but the sauce really made it tasty and it was all reasonably priced. I also substituted a side item with fried pickles for an extra charge ($1.99). It was totally worth it. I like them better than the ones at Hooters. I would definitely order wings with fried pickles again. The shrimp were a decent size. They were also crispy and covered in a hotter sauce. I'll have to try the fried shrimp without the sauce next time (just to compare the two). Overall, it was a good takeout experience. The staff were all very friendly. The tables were clean. They brought out the food in a very timely manner. I kind of wish I had ordered a beer while I was waiting. I'll do that next time. The Birthplace of Beef's! Walking into this Beef's recently with a group of my best friends brought back a LOT of memories! Memories of walking into the ONLY Beef 'O' Brady's in existence and being greeted by its founder, Mister Jim 'Beef 'O' Brady's' Mellody! Those were some wonderfully wild days of wingin' it! It was especially heartwarming as we entered, to see a large portrait of Jim Mellody on the wall just inside the door. I looked up at that picture and commented "Well Hello, Jim!", followed by hearing a voice asking "Did you know my father?". As I turned my head, we were greeted by a young man who introduced himself as Sean Mellody, saying "He's my dad!". THAT was really cool! All of us had personal remembrances of Beef's creator that we briefly shared with son, Sean. Awesome stuff! Of course, most of us ordered Traditional WINGS with Beef's Signature Buffalo sauce. I ordered mine as I always have, just a bit crispy with a side of Ranch! What I got was EXACTLY what I remember getting on that very first way-back-when Beef's visit. That was some of the best two-handed chicken wing saucy gnawing ever! As I looked around our table all I saw was happy campers with 3-year old messy faces! YES! My fine group did order something that wasn't offered back in 1985. Fried Pickles. Man! If we'd had those back then along with the wings, Mr Mellody would have renamed the place Beef OHHHHHHHH Brady's!! Ha Ha! Sometimes Nostalgia plays a dirty trick on us. That saying, 'You can't go back home', comes to mind. But, as we were breathing in this original Beef's atmosphere, remembering the tables are a little crowded, and reliving bulky tube TV's blaring ballgame cheers, all things became clear. My family and friends have been coming to this Beef's since they opened in 1985. The wings are still the best around (if you get them extra crispy and wet), even better than other Beef's locations. There seems to be a correlation between the size of the menu and the quality of the items. The original menu was one page: wings, burgers, and a salad or two. The wings and burgers were the best in town. I heard the salads were equally as delicious but I never had one. Anyway, the menu has grown by leaps and bounds and now everything other than the wings is incredibly average. It's the same boring crap you can buy at any sports pub. It's just good. No wow factor anywhere. Also, the service has sucked the last two times we've gone. There's one server who works on Friday, I think her name is Kendall. She's fantastic. She's very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the last couple of times we went, we did not have her as our server. We had an unfriendly, slow, and mostly incompetent server. It was about 2-3 months between visits, so you'd think she would've improved, but she didn't. For example, both times she served us our basket of wings, but didn't give us any plates. The first visit, I had to go to the bar and get them myself. The second time, we didn't get plates, (or the additional sauces we ordered) until we flagged her down and asked for them. She didn't apologize, didn't appear to give a damn (and I'm sure she didn't). I guess they don't use plates wherever she's from? To summarize, if you're craving wings, go! Get them extra crispy and wet. The rest of the food, is average, but okay. If you want good service, ask what section Kendall is in and sit there. read more

I love beef o Brady's and go there all the time. I do not like how they micro price you for everything and I won't be going back. I ordered fish n chips and they brought me tartar sauce and I asked for cocktail sauce when I asked for it but they charged me .50 cents for it and it was a tiny bit. I needed more but didn't want to ask for it and pay for another one. At their prices I shouldn't be paying for cocktail sauce. I also bought wings another day and asked for them to be wet and they charged me for the sauce. They need to stop this or they will lose customers.never again read more

This is by far the best Beefs around. The staff is top notch. They work hard and they truly love their customers. They stay open late for big games and they don't complain about it and it happens often. They closed at 10pm last night. I left at 12:45am and enjoyed game 3 of the ACLS Rays game all the way to the end. The food is always better here. The wings are not precooked like most Beefs and you can tell. I've been to the local Beef's near where I live in Jax, and was happy to see a familiar name while here in Tampa on business. This location didn't let me down in the least bit. First of all, it was a perfect mix of staff behind the bar. One guy to talk sports with, and two very attractive young ladies to provide both pleasant conversation as well as eye-candy. I don't mean to come off as a sexist pig, but I'm just being honest. I'm sure many of the regulars come back often due to this, a fact that's apparently not lost on management. Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak and curley fries. It was VERY good. The steak was slightly charred in places like it should be. The onions were cooked just right. And the fries were cripsy and perfectly salted. The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review was that the sandwich was way too small; I think only 6 inches. While my waistline probably thanks me for only eating that much dinner, I was definitely left wanting more. Again, just being honest. I visited this place sometimes back. I ordered their so called "The" steak burrito. How can you burn the small pieces of steak in a burrito? I complained to the manager and showed him. He then tells me he can discount 5% on my bill but never apologized. The way he was acting was like eat it if you want it. Never visited that place again nor will visit in the future. Brandon has plenty of options like Buffalo WW, Ford's or Hooters for a sports bar with better food. No need to visit a place where they made food so careless. One star is to finish the review! The food is good but the prices are ridiculous and the wait staff is slow and forgetful. The food takes forever to arrive which isn't so bad since it's actually good. They do a quiz night which unless you're a 40 year old trying to recapture your youth it's totally annoying and the woman that runs it makes me want to pierce my eardrums. Stopped in today for lunch. Ambience was as expected - loud. Lots of TV's with several different football games on. I wasn't there to watch football, I was there to eat. I asked the waitress (Andy) how the BBQ ribs were. She told me that she does sell a lot of them and has no complaints. I asked her if I got the ribs and didn't care for them, would she get me something else. She checked with her manager and they said it would be OK. So, I ordered the ribs. They are the St. Louis Ribs so not as tender as baby backs but I expected that. The mashed potatoes and gravy was very good but not as hot as I would have like it to be (tempature wise). The cole slaw was nice and creamy just the way I like it. For the ribs, they use a Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce which I happen to like. Sadly, the ribs came to be a bit over done. They had a very distinct "burnt" flavor to them. I told my server and she asked what else I would like to try. I ended up getting the 8 wing deal. Seasoned in some new black pepper seasoning and tossed in the honey BBQ sauce. They were EXCELLENT!! My wife had the fish & chips and there wasn't a morsel left on her plate. I still gave them 4 stars for several reasons - first, the server was awesome. Always filled our soda glasses and just overall attentive. Second, it is a wing place. I guess I couldn't expect the ribs to be as good as a rib joint. I do think if they didn't have that burnt flavor, I would have eaten them. This place is hit or miss but today they hit it out of the park. I work close by but for the sake of time I always call my order in. Today my order was ready as soon as I walked in. Sadie my server was really sweet and attentive. Kimberly the manager on staff today was great. She's upbeat and it's obvious she cares about customers being happy. The fried shrimp was golden brown and had great crunch. My only gripe was there wasn't more! I think this Beefs may be turning a new leaf and if they are I'm one happy camper. Went here after the hurricane so there were power outages around. When I came in no one approached my table for about 15 minutes (when the place was empty, wonder why....) only for the waitress to rudely cut me off when I asked for a menu and say "we have a limited menu." She was so rude and short I didn't even want to stay. When I said I think I'll go somewhere else she just walked away without saying a word.
