Chicken wings with sweet thai chili sauce
    Max E.

ended up here because of the Brandon Xmas parade, decided to have something to eat prior to the parade. My wife had the chicken wings with the Sweet Thai Chili sauce, I had the fried chicken sandwich which came with fries. My wife liked her chicken wings, no major complaints there. My chicken sandwich was a bit salty in the crispier sides, I'm sure it was due to the batter used. I looked a bit dry, but the chicken was not. We had water so can't speak to their drinks. Staff was super friendly and readily available when needed so I always consider that a plus in a restaurant. Place was clean, bathrooms were clean, and food took average time to be served. There is parking in front of the establishment, however, since there are other establishments in the area, it could be an issue finding parking on a busy day.

Overall, it was just alright. The service was great, and if you're looking for a low-key spot with inexpensive drinks and standard bar food, this place fits the bill. I ordered a Caesar salad and onion rings--both were fine, nothing special. The highlight for me was that they had clean bathrooms, which is always a plus!

The atmosphere wasn't friendly in terms of the customers but the staff was friendly. The food was okay. I had the bbq bacon cheeseburger and it was pretty good. The wings was okay. They weren't too spicy. I would recommend coming here for a quick bite

It was a spur of the moment decision to order takeout after leaving an appointment in the area. I'm surprised that there aren't that many reviews for a restaurant that has been in Brandon since 1985. I didn't even know it was the Original Beefs until seeing the sign as I was parking the car. I'm glad that I finally checked it out. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. One of the nice ladies told me to order at the bar. It was all very quick and friendly. There were quite a few people eating and drinking while I was there at around 4:45 pm. The decor is very traditional and old, but it was cozy. I decided to get the Boom Boom Shrimp and the Traditional Wing Basket. I wasn't sure which sauce to order. I was told that many people like the Kentucky Bourbon and it happened to be a very good recommendation. It was sweet but had a nice little kick. My 92 year old mother was very happy with it too. She ate 5 of the 8 wings. That's amazing because she doesn't eat much nowadays. They were a pretty good size as well. We were both very satisfied. I wasn't totally blown away, but the sauce really made it tasty and it was all reasonably priced. I also substituted a side item with fried pickles for an extra charge ($1.99). It was totally worth it. I like them better than the ones at Hooters. I would definitely order wings with fried pickles again. The shrimp were a decent size. They were also crispy and covered in a hotter sauce. I'll have to try the fried shrimp without the sauce next time (just to compare the two). Overall, it was a good takeout experience. The staff were all very friendly. The tables were clean. They brought out the food in a very timely manner. I kind of wish I had ordered a beer while I was waiting. I'll do that next time. I'm looking forward to trying other wing sauces. They had like 13 different kinds with 3 dry rubs that you can add on to it. I may try the Sweet Thai Chili at my next visit.

Normally I never ever complain but honestly paying 10$ for onion rings that are supposed to be shareable and only getting this amount is disappointing. it's disappointing seeing money wasted like that. Also there was a hair in my sandwich. Gross. i would say don't bother even order from this place. Sorry.

Sat at bar, very friendly staff. Blacked fish, lemon shrimp, and Mediterranean salad were delicious, some of the lettuce was bruised

Good restaurant, pretty much what you expect from a beefs. The service was great and the food was good.

Nearly everything on the plate was overly greasy, to the point where it felt heavy and unappetizing after just a few bites. Instead of enhancing flavor, the oil overwhelmed it, leaving a lingering, unpleasant aftertaste. Beyond the grease, the ingredients themselves seemed subpar. The food lacked freshness, and certain items tasted like they had been pre-prepared or sitting out for too long. Textures were off- some parts were soggy while others were oddly dry- which made the meal feel careless and poorly executed. Service and atmosphere did little to make up for the food. Even with reasonable expectations, the overall experience fell short. For the price and what's advertised, this place simply doesn't deliver. There are far better options available, and this is not somewhere I would consider visiting again.

Completely ignored the clump of what I assume was cheese on the counter. After cleaning it down, it was still dirty and to top it off, it smelled like vomit. Tells you how much they actually try to keep the place clean. On top of that, the bartender stopped wiping g down the counters with said rag he was using and went to grab a lime with for my beer. I asked for him to pull a lime from the bottom on a toothpick or something other than those nasty hands. He did. I placed the wooden toothpick onto the drain pan with the used lime after squeezing the life out of it. He comes around a little later and asked if I wanted another beer. Then, "you okay if I use the same toothpick?' Mind you, this was already laying on the drain pan. What the actually F???? This place is not clean or well maintained, but that could be because they get enough buziness with its regulars. This time I was in here for the shepherd's pie. From being here before, I'd seen someone else order it and noticed it comes in a mini cast iron; he serving option alone is already promising. The shepherd's pie is absolutely delicious, no notes. The mash on top was broiled with just enough crisp, so smooth and creamy underneath. The ground meat below was cooked hot with smoke, and every bite was hearty and rich, with noticeable touches of herb. I don't like peas, so the shepherd's pie here coming with carrots instead makes it even better for me, and the crispy shallots on top give an occasional crunch. So far I've tried three dishes here, and I've been happy with all of them. These dishes are the kind I'd come back for, but this really solidifies the impression that most, if not all, of the menu would be worth trying. Pair that with the friendly, attentive staff and the relaxing atmosphere, and this is for sure a top pick.

The menus were kind of old and a little soiled so if the food is good here I will never know because I wouldn't touch the menus. Sat at the bar and asked for the name of a beer they had on tap. She gave me a generic answer and it turns out she was right. It was just called Channelside IPA. Still the interaction wasn't very pleasant and in fact was a little awkward. Definitely didn't feel welcome. Also didn't help that I am naturally a smart Alec. All I know is we definitely didn't click. I settled in on a Smithwicks Red Ale. Finished my beer and promptly left. The experience was Meh. The beer was good though.

I had the mushroom burger, which was absolutely delicious, especially with the raspberry spicy sauce served on the side. The French fries were loaded with bacon, cheese, and green onions, and they were fantastic. My wife had the baby back ribs as a starter, and she really enjoyed them as well. We did experience some service issues at the beginning of our visit. We waited approximately 15-20 minutes before anyone came to serve us. When we finally ordered our drinks, we were initially given water instead of the drinks we requested. Our server, Vicky, seemed a little distracted during her shift. We also noticed another table waiting for their drinks to be taken out after they had finished their meal. Vicky appeared visibly frustrated while carrying the tray, and one of the drinks spilled. We even saw some other guests leave because of the wait. That being said, Vicky was very pleasant when we interacted with her, and we understand that everyone can have an off day. Hopefully, this can be viewed as an opportunity to stay just a little more focused and attentive to the customers at the tables. Then Blake, the manager, completely turned our experience around! Blake was extremely welcoming, friendly, funny, and genuinely concerned about making sure my wife and I were taken care of. He smiled, communicated with us, listened to our concerns, stood there and made sure we were comfortable, and even went to the back himself to help get our order. Blake is definitely an asset to the Bubba's 33 organization. His willingness to personally step in and take care of us made all the difference. He left us with smiles on our faces and feeling extremely satisfied. Blake offered us a discount on our meal, which we did accept, and he also asked if we wanted to take additional food home with us. We initially declined the takeout offer. However, after the great experience we had with Blake and how professionally and genuinely he handled everything, my wife and I decided to order additional food and pay for it ourselves to take home to our two adult children who were at home. What started with some disappointing service issues ended with us feeling valued and appreciated as customers. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what really matters is how a business responds to those mistakes. Blake handled the situation exceptionally well and made a tremendous difference in our overall experience. We left Bubba's 33 with full stomachs, smiles on our faces, and a genuine appreciation for Blake's hospitality and professionalism. We will definitely be coming back to Bubba's 33--not only because of the phenomenal food, but because of Blake. He is truly an asset to the organization! Thank you, Blake, for taking such great care of my wife and me. We sincerely appreciate everything you did!
