The food is tasty, and the service was excellent for takeout (Hanna) and dine-in (Sierra) service. I can't give 5 stars just yet, but I'm still a fan of Duke's. Let me tell you why. Most places that serve wings include celery and/or carrots with your wing order. Duke's charges you an extra 69¢. I'd think they would include that since they charge $13.99 for 12. Yes, I have to be nit-picky since there are so many restaurants in the area that specialize in wings. This was the first thing out of my husband's mouth when I delivered him the wings last night, and I have to agree. With all of that said, I liked everything that I've ordered. The first visit was a takeout order for my mother. I shared some of the wings with her and they were super tasty. We picked the garlic buffalo on naked wings. I think we liked that one the best. We also had the Sharpshooter Shrimp which were breaded and tasty. A little larger than other places and they still had the tails on them. The boom boom sauce was average. Our second visit was just as great. I decided to try the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade which is on their specialty drink menu. It was very good. A nice natural strawberry taste which I'm guessing is from the muddled Plant City strawberries. I'd love to see a strawberry mojito on this menu one day. That would be even better. The fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass was a nice touch. Yes, they have more than just beer. They have many craft beers on tap. A list of them would be helpful for future visits. We also got the corn nuggets as an appetizer. These were served piping hot and were delicious little sweet corn bites. I'd order them again. We also split an order of 12 wings with 2 different sauces. The garlic parmesan didn't really taste like anything, but the wings were crispy and good. The other half were done in Duke's Way which is their Duke's blackened seasoning rub with a medium heat level. This was really, really good. It was spicy and delicious. Not spicy hot, but had a good amount of heat that I was able to tolerate. I saved some for my husband and got him a takeout order of breaded wings with their Nuclear wing sauce. He liked them but said that they weren't as hot as the ones he's had a Buffalo Wild Wings (whatever their highest level is). He did like the taste of the Duke's blackened rub as well. I would definitely go back for future visits. We've already been twice since they opened. The service was excellent each time. They greet you as soon as you enter, and it's service with a smile. I guess you can say Duke's has gone corporate. They started in Plant City and now have a corporate office in Lakeland. They've opened other locations in Florida and are still growing. I like the honky tonk vibe, and they have live music on the weekends. The Daisy Duke outfits that the staff wear are cute. Everyone is super friendly. I'm glad to see a local brewhouse expand to the Brandon area. I've seen many restaurants come and go in their current location (Lumsden and Kings). Hopefully this one will stay. read more

Food is ok and honestly we love the fried pickles but it's getting hard to come here when because of the inattentiveness of the servers and bartender. Just looking at my group of friends and the amount of time we have waited around for servers in order to put in another round of drinks, they have probably lost out on larger tips and the business has lost out on more sales because of it. read more

Visit 1. January 8. Plant City is way better.... So far. Very clean. A lot of potential in Brandon though. Sat at a table outside. Service is 3 star today with very nice and pretty but very young servers, so be patient. The kitchen staff needs serious improvement. Visit 2. February 16. Very clean. Sat at the bar and waited a little too long to even be acknowledged . I actually had to yell eventually to get the attention of 1 of 2 bartenders. For my second beer, I had to move the napkin holder so they could see I was running low. Maybe that's why I wasn't served in reasonable time? I ordered the Korean Fire wings...not really a fire but warm. The chicken tasted very bland. The sauce lacked flavor, but the presentation was not too bad, temperature - slightly above room temperature. You need a better kitchen staff!! FOOD - 1.5 stars SERVICE- 3 stars (at best) Visit 3: March 2, 2020... No, I'm not a sucker for punishment. I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential and I also believe that it will get better; and today was a great example of improvement. Service was way better than it's been in the past (kudos to Courtney)and so was the food. Had a burger and fries...right on the money. The place seems more like a neighborhood lemonade stand selling to all their friends. The service was good at the bar. But the chicken wings were under cooked. Also had the cheese fries which was a very small portion. I don't think that that bacon was even cooked in house. May have been the hornel precooked bacon I n a bag you get from the grocery store. While the staff was pleasant, the service was not good and food was really bad. The Burger was just not good, and the Chicken was very poor quality. Apps were so so... 50% of all food ordered was not good. We pretty much immediately said we would try them again to support Local, but then the check came... they upcharged nearly $10 for a side adjustment and two "extra" cheap sauces, without saying a word. The Manager, while pleasant, didn't offer any adjustment to the gripes of food quality. I went to this Dukes location on a Wednesday evening for the bottomless boneless special. I placed my order for my first basket of wings at 8:05. Its should take longer than 8-10 minutes to get that order to a table. At 8:20, the server walks by my table and tells me that me order should be out soon. At 8:30, I see her at the front doors and shrug my shoulders as if the say "Where is the food?" She rushes in the kitchen, comes back out and says, "I'm really sorry, but I forgot to put your order in." I didn't get angry and start yelling. I very calmy asked why she didn't check the order on the screen or however she should have checked it. She just said she was busy (she wasn't busy; the place is never busy) and had forgotten about it. I requested the manager. He comes over and, shockingly, takes her side in this episode. The manager says to me in a very non-chalant manner, "Things happen. People forget about things." I understand defending and sticking up for your employees, but this was ridiculous. He didn't even offer to comp me the meal. He only offered to make the basket himself and get it to me in short order. I politely declined and departed. From Dukes, I went to Winghouse and got my first order of wings 8 minutes after placing the order. I have been back since this incident bc the WInghouse was full. Coupon from the clipper magazine drew me in. $5 off if you spend $20 and combined with the all you can eat boneless. Miller lights were $3.75 each and three olives vodkas were $3 which is a pretty decent deal. First order of boneless comes with fries however both the fries and the boneless were room temperature cold when they arrived. So didn't get another order. One and done. I'd recommend the chicken wings with Dukes Way seasoning. -Offered trivia in the middle of the week -Beer was COLD with a layer of frost on the top. -Management apologized for the music.
