I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy with Garlic Fries. Also got a little side helping of the Creole Gumbo. All I can say is every Dime was well worth it. The Bang Bang Shrimp were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The gumbo was perfectly seasoned and I would definitely get both of them on a future visit.. Top of the line customer service. A well deserve 5 star review.

Thankfully for my belly, I am not down the street from Laffy or I would be here every week…read more This place reminds me of another popular Louisiana bbq place doing Texas style but with more open days. Don't get it twisted, the hours are still limited but I can see why. With the constant line they had from opening til I walked out, I am sure they don't have a lot left toward the end of lunch. The brisket was the example of tender and worth the upcharge. We got the dr.pepper sticky ribs and also worth the upcharge. Typing this makes me hungry again. The only thing was the sides were ok but we're here for bbq so that didn't lower my score.

I stopped in here last Saturday at 10:30 am and when I pulled into the parking lot, I was…read moreunderwhelmed as Blanchard's is in a strip mall between a Subway and a donut shop. "How good can strip mall BBQ be?" was my initial thought but the line of 10 people waiting to get in that early eased my thinking. To answer my own question, strip mall BBQ can apparently be great! I got a 2-meat plate with the brisket, Dr Pepper glazed sticky ribs, green chili corn casserole and smokey beans. As you are ordering the brisket they ask if you want it sliced or chopped, and if you want lean, fatty or burnt ends. I knew it would be good then. The lean brisket was solid, a little peppery on the bark. I'd have liked it to be a little smokier and the bark a little more flavorful but that's the only complaint you will get in this review. The Dr Pepper sticky ribs were phenomenal! Sweet, smokey dessert like meaty goodness. It was almost pornographic what I did to those bones. The smokey beans lived up to that name for sure and the green chili corn casserole was unique and delicious. This is a definitely a place I will repeat when I am back in Lafayette.

Tried Bayou Bao for the first time and it didn't disappoint. We had:…read more * Baozi - Steamed and stuffed right. The texture was soft and pillowy with a solid filling. Pretty good, though not the star of the show. * Korean Fried Chicken Gua Bao - Hands down the best of the bunch. Spicy, crispy, and balanced with fresh toppings. Could eat two or three of these without blinking. * Pork Belly Gua Bao - Tender and flavorful pork. Only knock: the crushed peanuts on top were a little heavy-handed and distracted from the meat. Still good, just not as balanced as the chicken. Food came out hot and fresh, despite them being slammed at Parish Brewery. I'll definitely be back for that chicken bao

Well after walking through the door that was held open by Jade who turned out to be our server my attitude immediately changed and I kinda knew this was going to be a excellent experience. My 90 year old dad never goes anywhere without his wheelchair which can come with some challenges but Jade took the time to ensure it was not an issue here and made my dad feel comfortable before taking our drink order I had a coca-cola since I was driving and my dad ordered an ice cold Miller Lite in a bottle and a glass of water. The selections here are many but we had decided before we started driving here we both wanted boiled crabs for sure among a few other things. We both ordered a cup of Chicken and Sausage Gumbo to start served with white rice it was absolutely delicious with a dark roux and very flavorful as I expected from these parts. Then the entrées, I knew immediately I wanted the blue point boiled crabs and shrimp with potatoes and corn cooked extra spicy, even though it's messy being the crabs are boiled live and there's work to get to the delicate sweet meat it's worth the effort especially since these blue crabs were very big which made me very happy. My dad decided on the fried shrimp basket that came with fries and a side salad which made me question his choice since I know he loves crab but maybe the blue crabs was a little more work than he wanted to tackle so I ordered him a side of snow crabs which he loves and is much less of a mess, this made him raise his brow but once the food arrived he enjoyed it all not only because it was so delicious but mostly because he and I were sharing a meal that we have enjoyed all my life. The service here was exceptional I know the place wasn't busy but Jade paid extra to ensure we had the best experience and really catered to my dad making this a memorable experience that we both will never forget. This was definitely worth the drive, the food was fresh and delicious and we both left knowing we will do this again - it was a good day...

I couldn't find the menu on their website. However, when I Google search Park Bistro Brunch Menu it brought me to their site and a brunch menu appeared. When we visited for dinner we got the Crispy Shrimp, Chicken Nuggets, Nashville Hot Shrimp Burger and Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese. Crispy Shrimp - 9.0 Very good, would definitely suggest trying an order. Has to be their top or one of their top seller. Chicken Nuggets - 8.7 I do not currently see them listed on their Dinner or Friday Lunch menu. They were definitely worth ordering. It was fun having a homemade chicken nugget at a nice restaurant. Hot Shrimp Burger - 9.2 Very, very good. The aioli and pickles are so good with the shrimp and spice. Would definitely get again however, I plan on trying a new dish next time. Potato Gnocchi w/Bolognese - 9.1 This is what my Wife ordered and she said it was very yummy. Which, I tried some and she was right! If we went back it would be hard for her to stray away from ordering this. For our brunch visit we had Cheddar Biscuits, Crispy Shrimp, Chicken & Waffles, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and Whipped Ricotta Toast. Cheddar Biscuits - 8.2 During our visit the biscuits taste good however, were a little dense and lacked cheddar. Crispy Shrimp - See Above Chicken & Waffles - 8.5 They were good, the chicken was juicy and had good flavor. Don't know if we would order again. Lemon Ricotta Pancakes - 9.1 Aside from the shrimp, it was the best thing we ordered. The pancakes were fluffy and all of the flavors of the contributing aspects of the dish were delicious. The pancakes were accompanied by Blueberry Compote, Maple Mascarpone and Candied Pecans. Whipped Ricotta Toast - 8.6 All of the components of this dish played well together. Not sure if we would order again, but definitely worth trying once.
