Sneaky side patio/bar!

When craving a quick/convenient gryo- this is our go to neighborhood spot! Love the lamb gryo and the fries are excellent!! Attached is a little air condition outdoor patio and bar!

Chicken Gyro and saffron rice

I've been a Gyro lover for many years and this cart has been my top favorite place to get one since recently moving to sellwood. I had a favorite cart way out downtown Portland I was sad to be farther from--but this cart is closer to home and honestly better than my old gyro cart! Food wise and service wise :). Today I stopped by and ate it here at their outside seating and the owner brought me out some fresh saffron rice and hot tea for free!! 10/10 as well, never tried the rice before!

Most of the food here is really good. The lamb gyro was a little disappointing because they used the precut slivers of meat that aren't as good as most places that shave the meat off of the rotisserie machine. I'd probably still give this place 5 stars but the wait time is pretty long with how many different menu items they have and it's pretty pricey for a food truck.

First time going and foods/service is great. Cute set up with the side bar. Will be adding this to my routine food truck list!

Told to get a reservation, did that, so overcrowded, we left because there was no room to breathe, or go outside. This last time reservation, thought you could only get it on that day, but apparently people make them weeks in advance, sat next to bathrooms for that ambience of deodorizer. Staff is incredible, but busy. Manager is great, but food has been changing, little overuse of items, just not the same. So lesson learned, Make your reservation way in advance. Prepare to not have the same thing you had last time. If your sensitive to small spaces and over-crowding, might not be for you.

When we arrived, we were seated right away. Rachel, our server was ah-maz-ing! She made sure we had what we needed but was not overbearing and annoying. The food - perfectly seasoned, average sized portions, and lots of variety. Seasons has some of everything, not just seafood. We ordered a bunch of food and we loved it all - the traditional Caesar salad, a cup of smoked salmon chowder, crispy Brussel sprouts, Cajun calamari, Goosepoint fried oysters, and two orders of shrimp and crab cakes. We went out to celebrate and Seasons did not disappoint with a scoop of their homemade ice cream with caramel sauce and a candle. I usually buy store brand ice cream and had no clue what I've been missing until I tried Seasons homemade cookies and cream ice cream. I'm not big on sweets, but did finish it all. Seasons is clean, inviting, and has low lighting for an intimate dinner. I will definitely return for another visit!

So to Otto and Anita you must've raised some great children for their children to be as kind and thoughtful - as I said the food is amazing but your family in general is as well based on that experience. All I can say is a way to go and thank you. We will certainly be back - Dill Pickle Soup is the Bomb

Hubby and I really enjoyed our meal here. The server was very sweet and i loved her obvious pride…read morein her work place. The ambiance of Otto and Anita's is worn down and "much loved" - could use a refresh perhaps, but i guess their approach is let the food speak for the eatery. I had a special Swiss chicken which was delicious! The gravy that was generously applied was really deliciously cheesy without being too thick or rich. The chicken was perfectly crispy but perfectly moist. My only complaint os there choice of veggies. I am not a fan (at all) of spinach unless it's unrecognizable due to lots of butter and garlic, and this spinach is not that. Sadly i'm also not a fan of steamed carrots, the other veggie on the plate. The carrots were nicely steamed, not too soft, but not seasoned. The spätzle was really good too; flavorful, great texture, and moist. I loved my cup of dill pickle soup that came before my meal! It's strange to eat soup that sort of looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream, but tastes like really yummy dill pickles, but it works. Delicious! My husband had the chicken schnitzel. He had the same issue with the same vegetables, though he ate his, and he also would have preferred for the gravy to be on his chicken as opposed to in a little cup to the side. He loved the spätzle, but wanted more. (i thought the portion size of everything was just right) Hubby had a German pilsner and I had a very generous glass of a Merlot. we finished our evening with a piece of house-made German chocolate cake. Moist, and delicious. All of the cakes and pastries are said to be made in house, which exhausts me just thinking of that. There are lots of different pastries and cookies available for purchase in the front entrance as well. Great, slightly quirky place, that we definitely enjoyed very much.

Mothers is a great place to eat downtown, but I'd recommend making reservations or at least calling ahead. They get busy! Service was very friendly and our server checked in on us an acceptable number of times. Everyone we interacted with was also friendly and warm. The food came out quickly, hot, and prepared correctly. All items were quite tasty. It's not exactly gourmet in terms of you taking a bite and thinking it's the best thing you've ever eaten, but it's solid. I really want to try dinner there. Ambience is busy and bustling. Really it's what you'd expect for a downtown diner. This is the kind of place I would take people to who are coming in from out of town and I'm not sure how adventurous they are (mom & pop from Ohio for example) We will definitely eat here again.

But when our server was with us, they were very nice and patient with my questions and requests. It's a bit loud when the place is on the full side, making it difficult to have a conversation. I wouldn't bring my girlfriend who is hard of hearing, at least with a group. I'd be curious to try more of the menu. I was very much not wowed by the breakfast. The beverages were however very nice, and I recently had the cobbler dessert and it looked amazing and tasted better. We had the coffee (Extracto, love.), I had a really good hef and my mother a very well balanced Bellini that I was very pleasantly surprised with trying. From what I saw, the lunch sounds very good and I'd be more apt to recommend folks give that a shot if they happened to be going there too. I'm not sure if I'd recommend as a must go stop. Vibe wise, the ambience is overall really nice. I think having rolled flatware, even with just upgraded napkins, would better complete the aesthetic you initially see and feel. This would also connect with the price point of the food and quality of the beverages. As a fellow server, on that note I would expect more consistent stronger visual appearance standards with servers. (Sorry guys! But some of you looked great!) Overall, I'd definitely join a friend for coffee and lunch over there in the future. Just wouldn't be my top pick for a celebratory brunch or intimate dinner with a date or friends and fam.

While we waited, we were offered coffee, which was a nice touch. I had a cold press and really enjoyed it. Just a heads up: they don't do lattes or cappuccinos, so it's more of a classic coffee setup. The kitchen is small, but it was fun to watch everything move so efficiently. The staff clearly knows what they're doing, and it was impressive to see how much they crank out in such a tight space. I ordered the polenta Benedict with a sausage patty added, and my partner had the Beckman. Both meals were excellent. The hollandaise on mine was especially flavorful and well balanced. Service was friendly and attentive, and overall the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Worth the wait and a great spot for a casual, well-executed breakfast.
