The woman at the counter called to make sure I was still coming for my food because it took me a bit to walk over. And because I was a new customer, she gave me a quick rundown. Bakery with coffee/tea drinks on weekdays and a rotating food menu Friday and Saturday. Oh! Almost forgot to mention the cornbread. It was like a dessert itself. Sweet, sort of cakey. Enjoyable! Wish I had pic to share, but I got right into that food with no delay. Maybe next time

Their pastries evoke memories of my maternal aunt, baking coconut tarts and guava jelly rolls on Saturday morning in her Bronx house (Soundview) throughout my childhood in the 1970s. Some customers in the store were raving about Patmar's meatloaf patties. I must come back and try one. All goods are reasonably priced, and everything comes out quick. The store is reasonably clean, and customer service is top notch.

There was no curry, no allspice, overall lackluster!!! Never again will I order cooked food from a bakery. Lesson learned. I have my receipt, if your business would like to refund me. I'm kicking myself for wasting my hard earned money on this establishment. I find that in this economy, just cook your own food at home. NO ONE acknowledged me or any other person that came in after me. I guess the assumptions are that the customer doesn't have a choice, so they have a definite sale.
