We are looking for a new house, and I may want to update the lighting in the new place. I have shopped at the Bells Corners outlet of this franchise, and had good luck there. On display for this visit was a variety of chandeliers, some new, some traditional. But I really liked the newer ones, which had crystal in shapes of balls and droplets, cascading down... one went nearly to the floor - obviously for an open atria 2+ floors high. These were gorgeous! And I was surprised that they were not as expensive as I thought they might be (shh! don't tell them! I want to be able to afford a new one after we move in!!) For this visit, the staff was busy behind the counter doing something (not people related, but perhaps stock taking) and let me wander through the store mostly undisturbed or unsupervised. The replacement fan was a Hunter Douglas and it had a light kit with it which the original fan did not. I followed the instructions that came with this fan. After my work, there were some wires left unused, and that really worried me a lot. I had followed the instructions very carefully, but those "left over wires" made me very uncomfortable. I had been given excellent service by Capital before and they were excellent there as well. So, I gave them another call and explained to them my concerns. They said no problem and asked for my address and said that they would be there sometime in the early afternoon and that is what they did. The young man that they sent was extremely polite, clean and was very thorough in examining my work. He found extra wires and capped them, but everything else that I had already done was ok. Buyer Beware: if you have to return an item be aware that you will be charged a "re-stocking fee"…read moreof between 10-30% which will be applied at the arbitrary discretion of the store manager. I purchased an in stock vanity sink directly from the store (ie. not on-line), which I attempted to return 3 days later. The only "damage" was that the tape to the box had been undone. This was sufficient for the manager to deduct a 10% 're-stocking' fee. I had not been told this at the time of purchase. The store manager told me that it was in the "terms and conditions" referred to on the receipt I received after purchase, and which he suggested I should have read on-line prior to purchasing. In fact the store manager suggested he was doing me "a favour" by only charging me 10% when he could have charged me 30%. His smug attitude and rude behaviour was beyond anything I have ever experienced. While the products at Bath Depot perfectly suit a modest reno we are doing at our cottage, we will not risk being subjected to this same experience again.

Started out great, had friendly service at the storefront. Purchased a bed frame. They no longer…read moreoffer in store pick up so you are forced to pay delivery fee regardless of size of the item. Bed frame was delivered and was 6" longer than was listed on the website and therefore didn't fit in our small bedroom. Very disappointing considering we specifically selected this model given our space constraints. Cannot trust measurements online. When returning, had to defend my story with images of it not fitting in the room in order to get the refund which took four days to "approve". Once they accepted the return, I then had to keep the bed frame for over three weeks due to pick up driver availability. They finally picked up the bed and no refund was processed on my card after four business days. I had to call Mobilia support and inquire. They only issued the refund after I called and provided my card number. So, had I not called or kept an eye for the refund they would have just kept my money? Nice furniture for a decent price if you're looking for mid-line, but I will not be shopping here again. If it doesn't work out, it's a nightmare to get your item returned and refunded.

We were told that it would come in June, but we still don't have it because it hasn't arrived at the port of Montreal. We've been told to call back in September. When we went shopping in store our experience was good with the sale representatives there, but the delivery people who dropped off our dining room chairs, a bench and lamps were rude and dismissive. I had asked for the delivery guys to wear masks before coming into my house because I explained that I had a newborn. One of them put up a big fuss saying that he has been wearing a mask for 2 years and he is tired of it. He also said that he has kids of his own as if this justified him not wanting to wear a mask in my house as per my request (so much for client service and respect). He refused to come in to set up the lamp, so he put it together on my front porch and was about to leave it there when I called him out for it. I politely explained that the delivery was supposed to be "white glove service" meaning they put the items together and place it where you want it in the house. He didn't like that. I had to argue with him to put on a mask and to put the lamp in my basement, but he eventually did. The other delivery guys didn't bother to assemble the other lamp and dining room bench - my husband ended up having to do it. We liked the product offerings at Mobilia and that's why we bought from there, but the client service is awful once you leave the store. Fair warning to those who decide to buy furniture here!
