Our neighbor hired this business to heavily trim a live oak from our property since the branches…read morewere on his property. No problem, except the tree trimmers came on October 2, 2026. Trimming oaks before the winter months (January - early March) is not advised according to the Piedmont Master Gardeners and the Virginia Cooperative Extension. In October the tree is still active with open wounds that invite pests and other diseases like oak wilt. The proprietor of the business told me he has been trimming trees for a long time but had no response to whether he knew about the proper time to trim trees. To put a bow on it, they blocked my driveway with their trucks because it was more convenient for them to remove the branches. When I finally had to use my car to get out of my driveway, the guy gave me a look like an angry teenager because he had to move his truck.
