Tipsy McSway's - Smashed Dog with Onion rings

Tipsy McSway's

We were staying in the downtown historic Brunswick area and I was looking for a place to watch…read moreMonday Night Football. Tipsy McSway's is open until 10 PM and the kitchen stops taking orders at 9 PM. After looking over the menu, I decided to try the Brunswick stack sandwich. I had hoped to try the tomato bisque soup as my side, but unfortunately, they only serve chili, not soup, on Mondays. So instead, I ordered the fried potato salad as my side, and it was surprisingly delicious. It comes with small diced potatoes in a warm savory mustard sauce. When I originally asked the bartender what he recommended, he mentioned the Brunswick stack sandwich as well as the smash burgers. While the sandwich was good, I would probably try one of the burgers next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely get the fried potato salad again. The next time I'm in the area, I would definitely consider returning to Tipsy McSway's and I would recommend it to others as well. Cheers

Loved the sauce. * Wings were solid good. * Service was nice, like genuinely nice. *The pickle chips had a perfect crisp to them * decent selection of beers and cocktails What could of been better: * The fries could have been crisp. A little soggy or limp. But they were good. Just had a fun visit and enjoyed the place. Will come back.

So first time at "The Hideaway" in collins, ga. Amazing place. Definitely a must do campground…read more Entire grounds were immaculate. FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST IVE EXPERIENCED AT A CAMPGROUNDS. The staff are super friendly and go way out of their way to welcome you and make you feel accepted and catered to (even giving new people rides around the campgrounds in their golf cart to show you where everything is located. They escort you to your cabin when you check in so your not searching for your spot all day. Residents were super friendly and the club/bar run by resident volunteers was amazing. Me and the hubby will be returning often. Our cabin/trailer we rented came with a built in dog fence so our puppy had the bestest time she's ever had because she got to play all day inside and out without having to be on her tie out Overall 5 out of 5 stars

Every time I come back, I forget how much I like it here. The thing that stands out the most is how…read morefriendly everyone is here. The staff, the owners, the residents. It's like you have known them forever. Once I mentioned I hadn't ate yet, and a resident came over with a tray of enchiladas. Someone gave me a handmade Hideaway figurine. My own family isn't this nice to me! You come here not knowing anyone, next thing you know, you're on the back of a golf cart in an RV crawl. Just wonderful guys- all of them. The friendliness is everywhere. I have not met one pretentious person in all the times I've gone. Everybody interacts with everybody. Not only that but the drive there is gorgeous. I particularly recommend RT 121. Green fields, pine trees, hardly any other cars. Just keep your eye on your speed ; ) There's something in every budget for accommodations. Access is tightly controlled so recommend having everything you need on coming in. It's to keep the riff-raff out, (but yet here I am?). You can still come in and out, but most people stay on property. I've left my stuff out many times and never give it a thought. Nobody is here that shouldn't be (they keep letting me come back?). It's easier getting everything settled online before arrival, including signing the online waiver, and booking your cabin, or camping space. There is a nominal $15/yr fee as well. The cabin's have a one time cleaning fee per stay. Even with the fees and the paperwork, the price is still reasonable. Knowing this up front made more sense. They do a lot of pot-lucks- bring something nice, they love that stuff. A lot of these guys can cook. ("Who made this and is he single?") They also have a take-out cafe by the pool. They usually have specials and everything I have ordered has been top notch. Keep an eye on the cafe hours, the cook wears a lot of hats on the grounds, so plan accordingly. They open and close a few times a day. They do not sell alcohol. It's BYOB, everyone often just contributes to someone's cooler. It's the perfect mix of quiet and serene and get out on the dancefloor when the sun goes down. As a staple of the larger campgrounds, I found that the Hideaway more than makes up for being toned down by the attributes I've mentioned. It doesn't hit you immediately your first time; just about the time you start thinking that it's scaled down, you realize that's the point, and that its just as much of a blast as the loud crazy campgrounds, if not better. It's not the size of the crowd or the volume of the music that makes a great weekend, it's who is invited to the party. And in all the times I have been here, even when the weather didn't want to cooperate, The Hideaway hits the mark every single time. An absolutely wonderful bunch of people. I give The Hideaway an enthusiastic FIVE STARS!

At first we ended up at the bar-only spot (easy mistake), but they quickly pointed us around the corner to the main restaurant--no hassle at all. Anna took great care of us. Super friendly, checked in just enough, not too much. They noticed it was my wife's birthday and actually made it feel special--multiple birthday wishes and a complimentary dessert for the table, which was a nice touch. Great location too. Overall really good experience... would definitely go back.

Pool tables are $1 per game and there's maybe 5-6 tables. My daughter won the chinese food claw game a few times and even got some jewelry so she was really excited. There's plenty of space and it's not fancy, but the kids had alot of fun and it's real laid back & casual. The lumpia was alight and the kids ate their hotdogs. Most who had the french fries liked them. I had the fried shrimp and wasn't impressed. There was thick crispy breading, but could taste alot of salt. I did not like it as much as some of the other dedicated seafood restaurants in town. The grits were just alright also. I guess my favorite was the sweet tea. The bathrooms were clean, but the soap dispensers didn't seem to work. The bartender/server was helpful and I liked the weird jukebox they had. This was our big event for the day and everyone in my family had a good time and enjoyed the visit.
