    Perfect pint of Guinness.
    Laura M.

My family and I have been here numerous times because we love Catrina (hope I spelled it correctly) the bartender. She makes you feel at home, is super friendly and extremely attentive. It was very busy when we went and I heard numerous patrons state that she is the best bartender and that is why they go there too. We have had the food there previously, shepherd's pie baked potato skins, amazing. We didn't eat this time as they said the kitchen was closed. Kind of a bummer, but still great bar service. We will definitely be back again.

I was there for the first time on Thursday and the bartender's service was spectacular and she was very friendly. The samoan was the best food I've ever had. Thank you for providing good service. This is why I give the bartender 5 stars. You deserve it. Sincerely, Rolando.

Strong drinks, friendly staff, nice pool table area in the back with darts and several televisions. There's a heavy soccer vibe. Overall fun place and great neighborhood bar!

Old corned beef sold in sandwich

The corned beef was so old I was Afraid to eat it. The color was off for corned beef. How could this be sold to anyone. If I didn't live so far away I would take it back.

Following dismal treatment at a nearby restaurant, a hungry group of us wandered over to Mulligan's Pub and were immediately greeted by an Irish lass who accommodated our group by hastily cobbling together several tables. She took our drink orders and answered our menu questions. The group settled on orders of Philly cheesesteak, Shepards pie, Irish curried chicken and a cheeseburger. No one complained. I opted for a classic comfort food on a cold night; shepards pie ($20). Preceded by a bowl of potato & leek soup. Both were delicious and filling. The Shepards pie was a hearty helping of ground sirloin, peas, carrots and mashed potatoes. (MY take on the pie adds a layer of sharp cheddar cheese.) The soup was a good sized bowl served with grilled bread. I also picked on a shareable large plate of truffle parm fries and garlic aioli ($15). Don't miss these addictive fries. The interior of the pub is classic NYC Irish. Friendly, affordable and with a long menu of very good pub grub.

It was a coworker's last day so we decided to find the nearest pub that was open to grab a drink to celebrate! We were able to be seated right away (we were a group of 4). I decided on an Irish coffee while my coworkers got all different cocktails, including an amaretto sour. For my meal I ordered a BLT. The side of fries were great, I didn't even need to dip them in anything. I would definitely return here!

I was appalled by the bartenders mannerisms - repeatedly taking our food when we were still esting

It's everything you expected from an Irish pub. It was generally acceptable. It wasn't too loud, so you can still hold a conversation.

Good drinks, but the bartender Collin wasn't flirty enough. Not to sound like Trump, but...meh, very dry, no fun.

Apps were good but expensive. Portion size also did not justify price. Sliders cost $16 but came with 3 small sliders and no fries.

The pretzels were more like warm soft breadsticks, served with a cheese dip and mustard on the side. Decor is an advertisement for Guinness but it IS an Irish pub in NYC. I had the Irish stew, a crock of hot beef and vegetables in a tasty gravy. Others in the group enjoyed burgers and salads. Next time I'll try the shepards pie. Service from the bartender was great. I ordered the fish and chips and a Bloody Mary. Everything was great up till then. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. Maybe it was a deep fat fryer thing, but I respectfully suggest the cook be given a little additional training. The fish batter was hard on the outside, and the fish was completely mushy on the inside. Like, gray mush. The fries were lukewarm. The mushy peas and the tartar sauce were served in little covered plastic disposable containers. I'm not a fan of that, but I get it is convenient. I truly wanted to like this place, and except for my one experience with the food, I would certainly return. People were having fun, and I did as well. I believe if they become a little more attentive in the kitchen, this place is a five star pub.

reviews here had me nervous!…read more ok..... so it's the week after christmas & midtown is a zoo. we were starving from walking around & we saw fitzpatrick's awning and i know the location in the 50s. went into the the wheeltapper walked past the bar to the tables. seems like some of the bad reviews are for the bar area which is small so i could see it getting tough to get served with an afterwork crowd. sat in a booth and was promptly given menus and asked if we wanted drinks. delicious pint of guinness. we got a variety of things and all plates were cleaned. So I'm not a regular and don't know if it's always like this but on both the day and Wednesday nights the crowd was fairly large for a small pub and noise level was high. People enjoy libations and chatter. Restaurant seemed pretty full too. I stopped in for a simple to go order to bring to my room in the hotel. It was cold so I felt like a bowl of soup. Beef stroganoff was their soup of the day so I ordered it. I wasn't overly excited about stroganoff and when I opened it even less so it was like oil and water that wouldn't mix. I literally stirred it before each spoonful. But guess what? It grew on me and WAS really good!! Beef cubes, fresh mushrooms and onions and a belly warming broth. Hit the spot even though I was reluctant.
