I visited this establishment on a Saturday night and noticed very few patrons (a clear warning sign…read morefor a bar). The bartender continued to carry on a conversation with other customers while I waited patiently to be recognized. He eventually came over and stood in front of me without speaking (warning sign number two). I requested a beer menu which he pointed out was on the wall. He kindly let me sample 2 beers. I requested a wine menu for my wife and he listed the varietals available. I inquired about the cost of the Pinot Grigio. He apparently had to go find the the manager and came back to tell me the price of the Sauvignon blanc. I politely pointed out that I wanted the price of the Pinot. He seemed visibly frustrated (as he looked like it was a burden for him to walk that much) and had to go find the manager again. He poured the beer and opened the bottle, throwing away the cork. I asked about the possibility of corking the leftover and he seemed to fish the cork out of the trash, pushing it back into the bottle without offering a wine glass (the third warning sign). I gave him my credit card and as he rang up the sale, I inquired about setting up a tab since he didn't offer to do so as most bartenders will. This was clearly too much for this poorly trained millennial and he again had to get assistance from the manager. Not being able to control himself, he muttered "I guess he's never been to a bar before" loud enough for me to hear, obviously upset that I did not request a tab before he rang in the sale. I asked him to repeat what he said. He of course had misplaced his cajones by then and denied saying anything. The manager, looking like Large Marge from Pee-wee's Big Adventure, naturally failed to try and resolve the situation and took back the drinks without giving my credit card back until asked. I sarcastically thanked them for their customer service and went to leave. Naturally, one of their few regulars had to throw in his 2 cents in and followed me outside. This little bald man with his pit bull said that "maybe the problem is you". I replied "maybe" and walked away with my wife. He followed behind making fun of my wife's gait (she limps from prior surgery for bone cancer) and threatening to push her over. As he was obviously all talk and no action, I ignored him as we walked over to the Canon Commons for the concert. Of course he also showed up there, but by then he also had misplaced his man parts and didn't approach us. So a word of warning to potential new visitors - DON'T.

That right there told me they don't mind being different in the style of food they serve! After checking over the menu full of wraps and burgers amongst a plethora of other bar food I ended up getting some wings to try and the house made chips. I got half my wings in the BBQ flavor and the other Buffalo. Being honest the wings weren't anything special but they did hit the spot and the BBQ sauce wasn't anything special to me on the wings but if it was used in some pulled pork or ribs I believe I would enjoy it more. The buffalo sauce was really good and had just enough heat to need the ranch here and there. The house made chips were good, not overly seasoned and not over cooked either. The place is small but has a handful of high top round tables and a few bigger square tables in the front with a decent bar strip with plenty of bottles and beers on tap. The pool table in the side room looked like a great area to hang around and play some pool while enjoying some beers with the company of friends. Next time I'm in town I will try one of their countless burger options!

The gal bartender who knows me opened the main door and warmly welcomed me and she said 'finally you made to our place "well come". Me and my friends got in there. They walked towards a pool table and I walked over the bar. The guy walks up inside the counter and while I am at the counter smiling he straight up asked me for my ID, first I greeted him and then I said "o don't go there' but he acted rude and said no I need to see your ID I said relax man here is my ID he looks at it and looks at me and then next thing he said Refuse service go some were else. I said what? He said you can go some were else and handed over my ID. He let five white people walk front of me inside the bar don't happened to ask them anything but me and when he saw I am a brown guy he refuse to give service and ask me to go somewhere else only me nobody else that came in with me. WHY? Racial discrimination. It is sad but in todays era people like theirs are still living in America where they are prejudice over skin color and racial. I was so disgrace and ashamed of this act that I asked my friends to leave and they became very upset and said they guy cannot do this and left with me. I hope someone will do justice against this place called Ugly's on its discrimination policy. No matter where you live, you cannot deny service to someone because of his or her race, color, religion, national origin or disability.

Music was amazing wayyy better than any other piano bar not the same old stuff lots of great 80s music. Food looked amazing too had some salsa and chips quite tasty and got a great cream ale. While in the White-river plaza the inside was very well decorated. Definitely worth checking out a great time.
