The fried chicken which was the Sunday special was coated with a thick batter. This was my first visit to Mulligan's Grill. I ordered the Chicken Wings and the Onion Straws. Our waitress was Callie and she was terrific AND so very patient with me as I decided what to order. Callie was also attentive and checked with us several times during our meal to see if we needed anything. My friend and I each ordered the onion straws. Callie gently told us that the onion straws was a large portion and recommended we share one order. She was so very right and I thank her for the great suggestion. One order of onion straws was "too much" even for two of us! Of course the wings were delicious also. The busboy was also very nice, friendly, and helpful. We will return! read more

This is probably in my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time. They have the best ranch and wings I have ever had. Every time I am in town I like to go to mulligans and they always have good service and good food. The wings have the perfect sauce. If you need a great meal at a great establishment, Mulligan's is one of the best places to go. I have frequented Mulligans for years and my husband jumped on the bandwagon of love for this place as well and we make sure to stop by many times. Good local bar with above average bar food. Bar area is always busy so usually have to sit in the dining room unless you want to wait it out. Service has been slow the last few times I've been. My meal had a dinner salad which was brought out with my dinner which I thought was really odd but their homemade ranch dressing made me quickly forget that error. The British Open and The Mashie are two of my favorite go-to items. Very robust selection of Lenten options: hush puppies, clam strips, several types of fish etc (they have a separate menu). If you are wanting the Lenten items for carry out, my recommendation would be to call around 2:00 and give them your order for a later pick up. Didn't have anything spectacular, but the burger and waffle fries were super tasty, the house wine was very good (and a large pour), and the wait staff was friendly and understanding as we stayed for a late night. Bad service and rude hostess is not okay. It took 15 minutes to get through for a carry out order. I went inside to pick it up and that was even worse. They stood around talking to each other while I waited. I mentioned it to them and they were extremely rude and basically slammed my food down. All of this for average food. It's bad for business when customer service is poor. I have been to Mulligan's one other time previous to my visit last week. The first time we went there we only had drinks. This time we went there for lunch. The place was busy. We were seated and the server took our drink order. I ordered a bloody mary and the wife ordered a beer. The order arrived and the bloody mary was in a small cocktail glass - who does that to a bloody mary? I ordered it with no salt around the rim - I got salt around the rim. When we placed our drink order we ordered a hot dog dinner off the kids meal for our five year old. We do that so the food will come out and the child will have some lunch and not wait for us to get our food. We also asked for water. We ordered food. The wife ordered wings with no sauce and asked for sauce on the side. I ordered a southwest wrap and a dinner salad. The dinner salad comes out. It's lettuce, three slivers of onion, and some cherry tomatoes. I ordered the large dinner salad so all three of us can munch on it. The salad was depressing and for over $8 not worth it - pure laziness. If you're going to charge $8 at least make it worth it. Then we waited, and we waited and we waited. 30 minutes goes by and no food. The server came back and asked if we wanted another drink. I said, it would be nice to at least get the hot dog for the child. She told us she had not put in the food order. What? Who does that? Hot dog and wings come out. The wings have sauce on them and they are returned to get what we ordered. Still no water. Then we wait. The server checks on us we ask when our food is coming and she says she will check. She never gets back to us. After having enough of this I go to the bar and ask for the manager. While I am waiting for the manager (waiting seems to be a theme at this restaurant) our server asks if she there is something she could help with. I said, "why start now." She asks if there is a problem and I said, "yes, but I will speak with the manager instead of her." The servers eyes roll out of her head and she asks me what my problem. I tell her again I will speak with her manager about it. She starts in again with the attitude and I told her to leave me alone and go away. The manager comes out and I explain to her what happened. She said she would check on our food. I told her to just give us the check for what we have eaten and we are leaving. I went back to our table and we waited yet again to point where we were standing up to leave when the manager finally came back and told us they were not charging us for the food and drink. We left. We know this is a popular business and we know this place has a good reputation. I also realize that every business has bad days. I doubt we will be back to this place anytime soon. IF we do go back and see the same server we will be leaving - she is in the wrong industry. read more

If I could give a no stars I would. Unfortunately, several months ago I had an unfortunate situation with a younger customer who was very intoxicated and over served who started an argument with me. His father got very upset with him and told the restaurant to pack his food up to go he yelled at his son and left. I could clearly see that that family were regulars there because the manager at the time came over to me and was interrogating me and saying nothing to this intoxicated and over-served individual. They then asked me to leave. I I called up a few days later to talk to the owner Tim Raischenbach. I explained the situation and he said he would look into it and get back to me. A few months had passed and I never heard from the Tim. I went up there with my family about a week ago and was told that I was not welcome there. I just called Tim today to speak with him and he said he would look into the situation and he was trying to figure out which bartenders were working and he asked me... "Was it the short blonde bartender with the big tits?" At that point that's all I needed to know about Mulligan's. There are many options in the CHESTERFIELD / Wildwood area for dining. I was appalled at the way the owner reference one of his own employees I have young daughters and I would hate to think that if they worked at a place like this that the owner would refer to them like that. Very sexist and inappropriate. If you have a daughter or wife who works there you might to reconsider your loved ones working there. read more

This has always been our favorite go to for casual dining, but the last 2 times we have been there, the service has been slow, the food okay but not great, and the the floors have been extremely dirty. it's very disappointing.
