Mulligans has some great selections, it is definitely understated. We started with the scotch egg. It was good, but I yearned for some more seasoning on the sausage coat. I ordered the Chicago beef for lunch and it was amazing. Slow roasted sliced beef with pickled peppers and veggies. The sauce was fantastic. They have really good fries, lightly battered and doubled fried. Crisp and flavorful. For the kids, a good sized cheeseburger and chicken strips. No complaints from them either! Service was fine, the place has open seating and a bar, pretty typical these days. They also have an arcade with several games and prize based activities. Overall, a great day/night out in Clayton. The atmosphere was really cool. It's a fun place to go in and visit. They have tons to do and look at. The arcade was fun and they had multiple events happening at the same time. The disappointment was the service and food. Our waitress was very friendly but she didn't know the menu or even the specials for that evening. I ordered a margarita which took over 15 minutes to arrive. The place wasn't busy and three of the staff were sitting at the bar chatting so I don't understand why it took so long to come to the table. The margarita was on the weak side. We ordered the Scotch eggs, sausage rolls and poutine. The eggs of the Scotch eggs were cooked perfectly but the sausage meat was extremely overpowering. I think they must add a lot of seasoning in it, and honestly it was too much for me. The breading was good and fried well but the sausage was so overwhelming that I just took the egg out and ate that. I do think they use the same sausage meat in the sausage rolls. The pastry was nice and they were a good temperature. But again the sausage meat was so strongly seasoned it was off putting. I do want to note that I grew up in Scotland so I am probably a harsh critic of the Scotch eggs and sausage rolls but my American husband thought similarly to me. The poutine was good. Had a great time here with my family! The restaurant is large and the arcade is a good size as well. I had wings which were good, and the ranch is fantastic. Enjoyed a spontaneous date night at Mulligans tonight. My husband and I shared the potato bomb appetizer with homemade ranch. These were so good, my husband asked me to figure out how to make them at home! We also split a fried chicken Caesar wrap and the chicken wontons. The wrap was good, with a lot of Caesar flavor. Absolutely fun afternoon with family from California, Colorado, and the Raleigh area. I haven't played miniature golf in 40 years and really enjoyed one of the three beautiful courses they have. Also, I haven't swung a softball bat in 40 years, was a little rusty with the first five pitches, but nailed the rest of them! I have dined here twice and have had good experiences! I love the layout of the restaurant and they have axe throwing and arcade games. The first time I stopped in was for a beer and warm pretzel sticks with cheese and mustard. They have Hell Yes Ma'am on tap and it's one of my favorites. The second time I had lunch with my boyfriend. He had the Reuben and I had the chicken Philly. My sandwich was just ok, but the Reuben was delicious. I will definitely order that the next time I dine here. All of the waitstaff are very friendly and on top of their game. I'm looking forward to returning and trying out axe throwing. read more

Came here on a sat at opening time for our first time. Got the scotch eggs and tots which were awesome. The fish was full of batter and not fully cooked. I ordered a drink that was suppose to come with a salm rimand didn't. Bit onve we seen the bartender Jennifer B stick her bare hand into the olive jar and dig them out to put into a bowl. We were totally turned off. Ewe and yuk. Also a waitress kept coming over to the sliced oranges and taking herself some with her bare hands to eat. $80 some bucks later with tip so $99 so not worth it. read more

We went to Good times for the Trivia. We got there about an hour before so we could order food. We ordered appetizers fried pickles and nachos- they were both really good! The service was good but slow- it was busy and there was only one server- she tried her best- taking orders, drinks and then having to bring out the food. Our table was a mess- there was no time for her to take dishes away (the man at the other table was clearing his dishes and bringing them to the kitchen himself) The main food was ok I really liked my chicken Quesadilla but the burger was not good it was thin and on a stale cheap bun. We dis try some video games they were pricey and the tickets were not working (no staff to tell) I gave the 4 star because the Trivia was awesome! They have axe throwing, an arcade, and a gift simulator. My fiancé and I just went for a quick dinner and enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich and boneless wings. The price was alittle steep at $16 for boneless wings but I was pleasantly surprise when a large basket of wings came out. The food was quick and our waitress checked in for refills often. Went there for Sunday brunch. Several families were there with young children. They had an adult band playing inside. It was so loud we could not have a conversation and the children were crying due to the loud noise. To top it off the band was making obscene jokes of a sexual nature in the presence of the young children. Even there I had to wait for the two bartenders to finish their conversation and eat a piece of candy before they served me. It took 40 mins and is asking for our waitress to ORDER our food. The staff was sitting at the front entrance on a bench just talking to one another. The food is over priced and not good. Will not be back, which stinks because my daughter like the arcade. What an awesome place to hang out! They've got food, beer, liquor, and games. Classic and modern arcade games plus regular events. I don't think I've been to a restaurant with more scheduled events. It seems like each day they have something planned like trivia, bingo, poker, cornhole, and live music. We visited on Trivia Tuesday. We arrived at 6:30 pm for 7:30 pm trivia. All the tables at the restaurant were empty and a few customers were sitting at the bar. We had our choice in table and chose one close to the door. This turned out to be a mistake since the trivia speakers were set up right next to our table. It was loud, but at least we did not have to get up to turn in our answers. The remaining tables quickly filled up as the start of trivia arrived. We ordered soon after we arrived. Our waitress was great, but I believe she was the only one working. We receiving a lot of attention at first and then very little as more customers arrived. We usually had to locate her to ask for order updates and refills. While waiting for our food and trivia we played games. The games were fun, but a lot had technical issues. Money and tickets are recorded on a card. A small prize area displays the number of tickets you need to trade for prizes. We returned to our table to prepare for trivia and our food arrived. All of our orders were accurate and tasted as expected. The portion size and prices were reasonable. Trivia was really fun. The host was engaging and enthusiastic. The questions were moderate to easy. The categories were relatable and the speed was ideal. I dislike trivia that drags out for a long time. This one took about 2 hours for 4 or 5 rounds. Prizes were awarded to groups that won the rounds and the final top 3. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to returning to use our prize vouchers! read more

Chicken tasted like it was pre-cooked and out of a bag. Service was ok. Not nitpicking but for as expensive it is to eat out I'd prefer crunchy croutons and some fresh grilled chicken. read more

The IPA onion rings were the highlight of the meal. Portion size was reasonable for the price and the onion rings arrived hot and crispy. They were fried a bit inconsistently, with a few burned spots and other spots that were undercooked, but all in all the onion rings were good. The accompanying sriracha-based dipping sauce had an odd gelatinous texture, but tasted very good. I tried the Cowboy dogs and they were a flat-out failure. The beef hotdog was skinny, flavorless, and served on the cold side of lukewarm. It was very dry thanks to the stale bun and missing BBQ sauce. My fries were clearly cooked to order but were very salty and were closer to burned than crispy. My dining companion tried the wings. Unfortunately they were very, very over fried and ended up being chewy, dry, and not too far away from being burned as well. The kitchen clearly needs to be less heavy-handed with the fryer and also needs to focus on serving meals using higher-quality ingredients. The onion rings are the only thing that keeps this from being a one-star review. All in all, for the rest of the meal, this was a poor value for the prices charged given the quality of the hot dogs and overcooked wings and fries. We are local and I have heard great things about the place. Walked in and stood there for a second. No signs that say seat yourself and an empty host stand. After a minute or so a young lady told us to seat ourself. Our waitress clearly was new. She had difficultly with the hand held ordering system. Food took a long time to come out. Then it was incorrect. Then had to wait longer for correct food. Mediocre food at best . Waited forever to get our check , didn't get a copy of my bill until after my card was swiped. Trying to find a location that could fit 25 people for my mothers 91st birthday. Typically the food on our 40/42 exit is never that great. We showed up and they were able to put us in their back room which worked wonderfully for us. We had the room to ourselves to enjoy my mothers special day. They only had one waitress helping us and she was Great. Food was quick and the portions were very generous and hot. We did have some kids and they had a great time in the Arcade until the food came. First time at the new location. I had high hopes as the menu looked good but I as very disappointed in the haddock I ordered. Fish had no flavor, my microwaved baked potato was half raw so I couldn't eat it. My veggies were nuked and tasted generic and came out of the freezer dept from the grocery store. We came here on a Saturday night. Food was not all that great. Wings were dry. Burger was very boring and dry. Service was lack luster. Mixed drinks were weak for paying almost $10. The games tend to take credits from the card but can't play them. Only plus was the live band here but I can only give the band credit not the restaurant so... probably won't go here again.
