And one of my favorite things to do is get a flight, so I was very surprised to learn that they only did flights on THURSDAYS...I'm not sure I've ever been to a brewery that only did flights on certain days. But my husband decided on the Juicy Rapids IPA and I started with a Strawberry Shortcake. I was also surprised to have my beer served in a clear plastic solo cup (also a first at a brewery.) The seating area was huge, almost cavernous. The restrooms were easy to find and very clean. It was also really neat to see where they brewed the beer onsite. Everything was so shiny! LOL. For our second round, I had a Mountain Sunrise Blonde. And since I didn't get a flight, I ended up having a third round of Pumpkin Pie Porter, which was delicious and IMO, much better than the other two I had, which I was not very impressed with. We ended up staying for 1.5 hours and it really started to fill up. And get really noisy. I did get to meet a really sweet dog though! There was not a food truck while we were there but they did have chips and other snacks available. I REALLY liked the Jalapeno Queso chips...I need to find out where else I can buy those! They have taps, a stocked fridge, and a large bottle / can selection to choose from. It's also a good place to stop in if you're looking for a case to take home or to a party, for example.

Having worked in Garner for several years, I know the "Garner Way." Everyone knows everyone, and a strong sense of community exists once you cross the city limits. I love that, and I'm even curious about the history behind the "Cleveland" name in this area (though that's for another review). However, after venting behind the bar to what I assume were regulars, someone finally came out to quiet things down. That same server then made an interesting pivot: since she couldn't vent in the kitchen or at the bar, she pulled out her cell phone right in the middle of the dining area. She stood just far enough away to qualify as outside the bar zone, but close enough for us to hear every detail about her car trouble and personal life. Dinner and a show--Garner style!

This adorbs little spot is in a renovated old house right on the main street of charming Knightdale. I was there on a quiet weekday afternoon, and enjoyed a glass of tasty seltzer while my friend tried one of their IPAs. They have both their own brews as well as several guest taps. The place is clean and bright, and they have a nice-sized beer garden out back as well. What really set them apart was the service, though. From the beertender to the friendy folks at the bar, I left feeling like I'd made a few new friends in North Carolina!
