I've been a regular here for a some time and spend hundreds of dollars a month supporting this place, which makes this experience especially disappointing. My car was hit by an intoxicated patron while parked directly in front of the bar, in clear view of a camera. The incident was reported the same day and we were told the owner's son "Colt" would look at the footage. No one ever followed up. After waiting over a week, we had to come back in again just to ask -- only to be told that "nothing was seen" with a camera pointed directly at my vehicle. What's frustrating isn't just the lack of resolution, it's the lack of basic courtesy and respect. No call, no message, no acknowledgment -- just silence unless we chased it down ourselves. That's not how regulars should be treated. Makes me believe there was no attempt. It's unfortunate that management doesn't seem to recognize how this kind of behavior affects their business long-term. Loyal customers notice when they're not treated right, and experiences like this make it easy to walk away. Also, noticed very high staff turnover over time, which, from a customer's perspective, often points back to management issues and how they treat people. Taken together, this experience made it clear that customer relationships -- even with regulars -- aren't a priority here. As a result, we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Could be a cool dive bar, but karaoke ruins the vibe. A) too loud, B) the same 2-3 "singers" over and over SCREAMING not singing, out of tune. Go home, being in your car or sitting in the shower, please spare my ears if possible to chat at the table or interact with anyone else with all the squawking, C) prices have gone up--I know they have everywhere, but this place is higher than a lot of others. Seriously, $9.00 for a Kettle One Vodka on the rocks with an additional charge of $3.00 for a total of $12 for a corner Saloon cocktail? Friend had a double Kettle One with Grapefruit juice, $18 and they charged $1 for the juice. Way too overpriced for a corner saloon with no food service and bartenders who need to get a better attitude. In addition, they charged me 3% for using a credit card. Much nicer places to go at these drink prices. Very dissapointing. read more

So I go in around 8:15. It is karaoke night. A few people at the bar, about 15 people at the tables. One bartender, a blond with longish hair. I don't know her name. I sit at the bar. The bartender says something to 2 girls sitting near me. I expect her to ask what I would like. Instead , she walks past me and goes to a table to clear one mug. She then looks like she is putting in a song for karaoke. She then passes behind me to clear other tables. No greeting, no "I'll be right with you". At that point I left. Bring back Jamie! Went around lunch time ordered a beer no food there was something in the distant background- the girl there were two was friendly for the first contact! But I have to say this was one of the most depressing bars I've ever been into! Boring is an understatement! Watched the girls munch on burnt pizza! It was clean! But boring at best! Very minimal interaction! Not an exciting place! One star is to generous! Served and never checked on! I'd say it's a very good chance I'll not be back unless hog tied and drug into the bar again! We stopped in on Thursday February 27th in the afternoon with some visiting friends for a beer and conversation. The server (didn't get her name) was phenomenal. She was the only person working and she was hustling...tending bar plus waiting on tables. In total there were 4 or 5 tables and several people sitting at the bar. We never wanted for a thing. She checked on us often and filled our orders pronto. We left a generous tip because this type of service is so unusual these days. I wish I would have gotten her name but hopefully management sees this review and figures it out. She is a keeper! read more

One of the only pinballs bars in surprise nice and cozey quiet bar great for old timers

Cool little divey/local place with cheap, ice cold draft beers. Not a ton of food options but from what I can tell they do allow you to order pizzas or DoorDash as an alternative. Josh provides witty banter behind the bar and along with friendly regulars who are always willing to strike up a conversation this is a very fun place to hang out. Plenty of options from darts to lotto tickets, pull tabs, and plenty of TVs with games on all the time so there's something to keep everyone entertained. Glad this place is in our regular rotation in Surprise. read more

Classic neighborhood bar with solid selection of cold draft beers at very reasonable prices. We stop in often on Saturday/Sunday afternoons when we're in the area and the bartenders are always great - very attentive to keeping drinks full and conversation and laughs flowing. Can't speak to the nighttime scene but the daytime crowd is great and we always have a good time. read more

Mule Creek is the best! Michelle is the greatest server we have had there! We walked in once when she was coming on shift. The "younger" servers never cleared the tables and were so very behind on washing the bar glasses. Within 20 minutes, Michelle had tables cleared and glasses washed and stacked! Now they're requiring you to give them a credit card if you're ordering! have never not paid and won't allow bartenders that are new to have access to my CC info...enough other places to go...and they 86 a regular for a review on Yelp that was negative...good luck! read more

Guess I was wrong... I saw a biker guy and asked him what kind of bike did he have... well he responded in a threatening way which I responded in kind and told him to what he had to do. I have always been nice to the staff with generous tips. When I was young I bartended so at times I will leave a 200 dollar tip for staff. Done it at Tailgaters, Booties, Buffalo Wild Wings, Oregano's, Great Eagle, then finally this place.... I approached the fake biker bully and said no hard feelings and offered to buy him a drink. He started his act again and this time threatens to kill my family. I said I was going to call the police, the staff told me to leave saying we don't call the police here. So after paying a very large tip $200 bucks to be exact and being nice to to the staff they side with fake bully biker guy that threatened my family. The karaoke was always annoying and the karaoke guy said I was a stalker,, um don't know what that is about, as to me going to a bar and tipping is a business transaction, and if looks were to be evaluated, booties and tailgaters Women staff are much better looking.. the women staff here are just average in looks as the Mule is not supposed to have model looking women like Booties or Hooters. I have noticed other customers not coming back and I think I know why and will be joining them and I will not be returning. The place's roaches all rushed out the door when I was waiting for the police which I ended up discussing the situation with the Surprise Police Department. read more

No food is available. It's a dive bar, so keep expectations low. Beer is somewhat cold but not as cold as most places.

The service was amazing, the atmosphere was great, and I had a great time here. Angle is a wonderful bartender.

As much as I want to love this place I can't. I've been here several times and each time it's the same. Service is hit and miss. If you aren't a regular you will need to flag down the bartender. Even then they will claim you can come to them. The drinks have a machine that measures out one shot exactly. I prefer a place that's lets the bartenders have flexibility. Went on a Friday night and there was no entertainment. We won't be back. read more

So I cannot say anything the establishment its self however their bouncer apparently thinks it's acceptable to chat with people as they're sitting in their cars-while it is parked in the middle of the road in front of the bar and blocking other vehicles. Rolled down my window and asked if they could park so as to not block people from getting through and was told by this employee of the bar to "squeeze through" despite there being no room. So maybe tell your employee that being obviously intoxicated in the parking lot of the establishment that employs you and blocking roads with no regards to other vehicles is not a great look when you're wearing your work uniform. I would also like to point out that puffing your chest and acting aggressively towards someone driving a car with three children in it is also not acceptable. Shame on this employee for scaring a car full of children. read more

I loved this place. It's an older bar not much young people but I loved it. Drinks were cheap and yes sometimes u gotta go up to the bar for drinks but overall it's a great hole in the wall. People were all friendly and DJ was great!! Def my top spot now read more

I've been going here for 4 years. This was a great bar a few years ago when it was still known as Rummers! The staff are still great & friendly. The new full menu is OK if your piss drunk. If your looking for fun, entertainment, Kareoke, bands, etc. don't go here! The current owner makes the entertainment keep the music turned way down now because his regulars complain its too loud. Never mind the complaints were focused more on the bad food. But hey, if you want a bar where you can sit, eat bad food and, drink in silence this is the place for you! I'm done with it. read more
