Okay. Strap in folks! Here is our take on Tailgaters! We purposely did not review Tailgaters on our first visit because lately, restaurants have been lacking. Not the case here at Tailgaters!!! We have been living in Surprise, AZ for about nine (9) years and have passed Tailgaters several times. Yet, we never stepped foot in there. We were invited by our "church family" to hang out for dinner after service. This "first" experience did not disappoint! Ambiance: For a Sports Bar and Grill, it is rustic and super spacious! Dining area has a lot of seating and well lit. TVs galore with sports events dialed in for viewing. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Floors are well kept with no debris. The staff: ALL of the servers were very pleasant, upbeat, and grateful for our business. They constantly made sure our drinks were full and checked in frequently for quality and comfort! The food: INCREDIBLE! On our first visit, we ordered the seasoned breadsticks with marinara and queso. Simply IRRESISTIBLE! We also ordered the Meatball Sub and the Chicken Parm Hoagie. Let's just say, "Yum Yum for the Tum Tum!!!" On our second visit, my wife had the baked Mac n' Cheese and I had the Spinach Salad with Grilled Chicken. Can you say, "Mmmm GOOD?!" The baked Mac n' Cheese came with a piece of garlic french bread with just the right flavor! The Spinach Salad was a full order (I tried to be a hero) and the Raspberry Vinaigrette, feta, cranberries, and chicken was simply the right combination that made my taste buds stand and cheer!!! We HIGHLY recommend Tailgaters to EVERYONE who wants a relaxed environment, great service, and fantastic food that is brings quality and value to the table! Keep it up, y'all! Loved the ambience and the food! The server was amazing as well and made sure she came to our booth every 15 to 20 minutes to make sure we have everything we need. We built our own pizza and we put so many yummy toppings on it and the pizza was fabulous! read more

Went of a Friday afternoon, sat outside as the day was beautiful and our party consisted of smokers. It appeared they were understaffed but were very accommodating due to that fact. Drinks arrived slower than normal but were very frosty. Our server was doing more than her assigned duties due to being low on staff, she was friendly, offered suggestions on the days specials and was fun to talk with. I ordered the personal pizza, highly recommended it was delicious. Not so happy with the order the food arrived as mine came about 10 minutes after the rest of our group of 4. This is in no means a deterrent, they were kind and apologized for the delay. Only a review of that days events. This area has a high senior citizen demographic, so if afternoon younger crowd is what you are looking for, maybe reconsider. However, definitely go, enjoy a great beer and fun atmosphere. Drove from California and looked at a pizza place in Surprise . Just decide to try them out. The pizza was very delicious and one of the best pizzas I've had the wings were also very good . There was a total of 9 of us and we all enjoyed the pizza and wings. I highly recommend. read more

We went to tailgaters in Buckeye for a funeral lunch. We had 30 people. I dealt with GM Justin, he did everything to accommodate us and more. Abbie was our server, she was awesome! We been here a few times. I'm not a big fan of the hamburgers and wings. I love the Philly cheese steak sandwich. The cheese curds are great. This place has a good happy hour that starts when it opens I believe and it seems to always be busy. They have more TVs then I ever seen at a sports bar. The girls are very friendly. I find the service to be a little on the slow side but when you are a busy sports bar that is expected. read more

We've been here many times and it's our "go to" place for great pizza and wings. Always good service even though they seem to always be very busy. Lots of tv's with sports going on, so the atmosphere is pretty loud. Very big bar that seems to be as big as the main restaurant seating. I came for lunch. Service was non- existent. The majority of staff seem more interested in their phones. They were so slow to come over, I almost left without ordering. This use to be my go to... never again. The ice was melted before my drink arrived. Food looked dried out from sitting, and smelled like dish detergent. Everytime i have been to tailgaters it has been a positive experience. The bartenders even remember my drink order so I don't even have to ask. What a fucking joke!!! Waited an hour for nothing!!! This place has gone down the drain!!! I'll take my business across the parking lot. Waited 15 min for a drink. Waited another 15 minutes to have my order taken. 15 min later, everyone who was seated around us at the same time was served. Tom the manager at tailgaters surprise Friday night was inappropriate on the floor being reprimanding and insulting the girls on staff that night were not doing their job to their fullest. I have gone there for years and the staff are always amazing and why I keep coming back. We absolutely love this place and the staff. However, the new manager is ruining the place, and really pushing us regulars away with how poorly he treats us. He makes condescending and rude comments toward us regulars as well as the employees! The only reason we keep coming back is because Shay and the rest of the girls make up the difference. Do they have the best food here? Nope. But there is one thing they have that is hands down better than any other sports bar I have ever been to. Those WAAAANGGGS!!! They are unbelievably good. I wasn't even a wing fan until I tried these. Get the honey hot wings and ask for them grilled. Throw in some of their cheese curds and I'll die happy. I've tried their burgers, hoagies, and wraps and I can't really say anything nice about those things...meh. My mommy taught me if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. We haven't been here for awhile but we're expecting what we had enjoyed in the past...good food and service. Dennis was our server and he was great! My husband and I just ordered a hoagie cheese steak and sweet potato fries. I wasn't super hungry and we decided to share. When they set the plate down I was thinking they had split the sandwich for us. Nope. It was so small compared to last time. It was so disappointing. An ok amount of filling but it was felt like we ordered off the kids menu. A nice amount sweet potato fries. (Extra charge). We each had a small beer, $30 before tip. During the COVID lock downs, us sports fans were stuck with reruns and talks about sports. To be able to watch sports again has been a huge success. Now that I'm in a new town. It's time to find a place to celebrate and scream woo hoo when your team wins! It's week six of football, this was the choice for pizza, wings, and beer that was close by! The menu is a tailgaters heaven with so many delicious treats and flavors to conquer any greasy delicious craving. The beer is on tap with ice cold pitchers just waiting to be filled with your favorite IPA. Sometimes you need a shot. My teams on a roll, raise those glasses high as we celebrate a win for my team. From behind the bar, it's no Vegas. The bartender makes a mean drink. When I'm concentrating on the big game usually it's always beer. If I need something stiff it's a Vodka tonic, my favorite. Football season is in full swing so how about a shot of Jameson with a splash of coke and a lime. How many games have I screamed at here. Too many. The football viewing is presented perfectly here. Now that we got the football out of the way, let's eat. Nothing goes better with cheering your favorite team on than your favorite food. It's pizza and wings for the whole family. What's not to like here it's a great place to gather around and eat! The menu specials are typical bar mode foods with chicken tenders, loaded tots and fries options, deep fried pickles; this is just to mention a few. The pizza is so bomb and out of this world. The favorite for our family is all the toppings that can be added. Usually the more toppings that one adds the more that the pizza is under cooked or over cooked. Not the case here. My favorite pizza creation was layered with pepperoni, bacon, shredded steak, pineapple, olive, and jalapeño. What a delicious hot mess. I can still remember that flavorfulness. The pizza all starts with the right crust and it's a great thin base that they use. It makes for a better pie. Our family is rather large so the XXL usually will feed the twins and my oldest boy. We must not forget the puppies; a slice once in a while will not hurt. You can add your favorite dressing: bleu cheese or ranch and turn on that game. Pizza is not the same without the wings. Luckily they have these little things too. The wings here are made fresh, no frozen ever. The wings come in a variety of flavors. The suicide flavor is sooo hot that you will be guaranteed wing blessings into the next day. The hot flavor of wings suites my liking just fine. Add your favorite beer and you have just to pick the sporting event to enjoy. If your jam is not over until dessert is served; they have you covered. The hot fudge sundae comes extra extra large for at least three to enjoy. The cannolis are decent, not great. Now for tru contentment the hot chocolate chip cookie is where the bliss happens. No matter that dessert you choose it pairs well with the "food" portion of the meal. The service has been hit or miss here. Any issues that arose we were taken care of. Their was a sandwich here or forgotten dessert here. All was made well by the staff. This is the reason for five stars. The staff usually have smiles on their faces and hugs in their heart. It is a bar, sometimes people forget they are out in public; expect loud personalities with your sports. Let's celebrate with your favorite team winning. Have a drink and raise that glass high. Here's to the winners and the losers. Only one can win! But remember there is always a next time. Pizza they got you covered. Want to dine on the patio with your pizza and wings over an open flame; done. The televisions are large and all over the restaurant. It loud and expect cheering at random moments here and there. Cheer on your teams and others as they sing and cheer their teams happiness. Let the love be spread around. Feel free to bring the whole family. The little people are welcome here too. Come and gather raise that glass here's to you and the individuals at the next table. Come and mingle with like minded sports fans from all walks of life. You must wear the mask and it's enforced. Let's meet at the bar then move to the patio. The games on in ten minutes, so the pizza is at the table time to wrap this up. To you, and to yours! Be fulfilled and happy. Order for Delivery, Wednesday June 5th. PIZZA, POTATO SKINS AND A DINNER SALAD. The pizza was okay. The potato skins were overcooked to the point where you couldn't eat them because they were to Krispy. The actual potato had been fried out of it, but I wasn't too concerned about that. It is what it is, however the salad, The salad had rancid cucumbers and bugs in the lettuce. I'm assuming they chopped up a bad cucumber and did not wash the lettuce. We have ordered from this restaurant before. Always having a problem with the food every time I try it. I have asked several times for things to be addressed and they are not. They promise to send me vouchers to replace the bad food but it is never sent. They say that to get you off the phone. I will make it known the quality of the food at the surprise location anyway. It was great years ago when we first started going there in 2013, and having delivery done. Don't know what the management has done to it since then, but the franchise should be concerned. read more

My friends go here for the Wednesday Two for 1 burgers. It looks like a dive but the burgers are delish! You choose how you want your burger cooked. The fries are sooooo good! We typically go in for lunch and have great service. Erica is an outstanding server and we enjoy watching her attentive interaction with all her guests.
