I have bounced around to different Fort Lauderdale salons after moving here 5 years ago and couldn't quite find a perfect fit with the dozen or so places I have tried out. I wanted an easy low maintenance blond (yes I know, no such thing with blond), and Tomy came through. I came in with three layers of color- dark roots about 2 inches long, bleached muddy blond through the middle and orange ends. It was a disaster grow out. I had a consult with Markie for blonde highlights and to blend in my roots but since Markie couldn't do highlights at the moment, she deferred me to Tomy. I didn't know I was in for a treat. I showed Tomy pics of what I wanted and he insisted that the color I wanted would wash me out and that I would not be happy with the maintenance since I wanted low maintenance. Initially, I was disheartened but I can appreciate his honesty and after he explained what he thought would work better for me yet achieve something close to what I was looking for. I thought I came in for a consult but he worked me in between his clients so that he could show me what he could achieve yet still make me happy. Mind you, the salon was super busy but the man is a multitasking genius! He did a toner and root scrape while Markie did my haircut and Yasleen did my blowout. Did I mention that my color was a disaster? Well, 2 hours later, what was flat and orange and 3 different colors was now bright, golden and well blended. My dark roots melted into the blond so seamlessly, you would think Michelangelo painted it himself. I absolutely love the results!

My friend and I would carpool for about an hour and cram in together for Saturday morning appointments. Saturday mornings were always and still a blast with the BS HairShop's welcoming and genuine staff. Their complimentary bellinis and mimosas definitely don't hurt. At first, I had virgin dirty blonde hair and after my first incredible haircut I decided to go back for my first hair dye - a balayage. I was super nervous... John and RJ have both done an incredible job of answering all my questions and educating me on everything from color and treatments to products and styling. It came out LIKE A DREAM. Since then, I've only trusted John with my hair. I was still in college and lived pretty far so only saw them when I could afford it and could drive up. (Once a year, if I was lucky) Post-graduation, I happened to get a job in Broward and found an apartment a five minute drive from their new location. (Total coincidence, but boy am I grateful!) Now I'm able to get Olaplex treatments regularly and have noticed such an improvement in my hair. Their new location is GORGEOUS and spacious and they have many more stylist and washing stations. I turned my boyfriend onto their expertise and he had his first haircut in four years and first blow dry EVER right before my best friend's wedding!! A few weeks ago I got sick of my blonde hair and decided to give brown a try. John made sure I knew what I was getting myself into and only applied a semi-permanent dye a few levels darker to avoid damage and make sure it'd be easier if I didn't completely love it. Well, I LOVED it. He said if it faded and I wanted it darker he'd go a level darker. Clear and transparent, always!! He was right, and now I wanna go darker. Honestly, I'm one of those "do whatever you want" clients who has no idea what she wants and hopes it turns out well. Luckily, every time I've done that with John it has turned out AMAZING. When I want something new, he has me find pictures that best match what I'm thinking of. Both him and RJ have thorough consultations with me and other clients to make sure everyone's happy and on the same page. After all this time, he truly knows how to match my hair in shape and color to my skin tone. He understands my style and low maintenance hair habits and makes sure whatever he does will match. They take SO much pride in their salon and their #1 priority is truly the health of their clients' hair. All these clients ranting and raving are genuine af. When I confronted Marcela about the fact that she likely never used the Ybera Paris products I paid for, she blocked my number completely. Bella Donna Hair salon is promoting and charging for premium products they are NOT using, which is outright fraud and a breach of trust. I tried to resolve this amicably, but after being ignored and then blocked, I'm left no choice but to take legal action. I am now filing complaints with consumer protection agencies and the official Ybera Paris distributors to expose this scam and protect other clients from being ripped off. It turns out pretty much my entire family get their hair cut by Suzanne, so I requested her too. I gotta say, her hands are incredibly talented! I don't know know how to describe what I want even if someone handed me a dictionary so I showed her some pictures that I got off of Google. The results were way better than I had expected! Sometimes what you see in pictures don't exactly fit your head shape, etc, but Suzanne can work it so that fits you. That's real talent! I should also mention that I have severe psoriasis on my scalp and some hair salons shy away from cutting my hair, afraid that they might hurt me. Suzanne has a ton of experience and the staff here are super gentle when shampooing so it doesn't hurt me at all. They even took the time to ask questions and use the correct shampoos. On my second time back, I took my hair way short because I'm getting ready to film YouTube videos about my psoriasis issues. Suzanne was cutting my mom's hair so her husband cut mine. These two must be a power couple because man, the dude is amazing! I wasn't worried at all that this is the first time he's cutting my hair.
