Food was alright, good but nothing crazy. Went for a birthday dinner but placed looked a lil over crowded bc there was like another 2-3 big groups in the same area as us. The complimentary chips, beans, and salsa were delicious. The chunky looking salsa was SO GOOD. I would definitely go back just for the chips n salsa! However not as a big group, service was a bit weak and drinks were weak too, even the soda's were kinda watery like if they didn't have enough syrup. Also they don't have complimentary water, if you ask for water they'll bring you a plastic bottle that's already opened for you so beware!!! Anyways cute spot for GNO or date night. read more

The first time we ate at this restaurant, the food was delicious but the service was terrible. The restaurant was at half its capacity, only one person serving tables. We waited a long time just for the drink order and the waiter was not friendly. I will give them another chance alone. The food was delicious, I ordered black al pastor tacos and my husband ordered the octopus. I ordered a paloma to drink but it was tasteless. I hope next time I have a better experience. read more

Definitely worth checking this place out! We tried tacos mi amor, flautas ahogadas, and trompo rojo chilango tacos - all were delicious. Plates don't include sides but they are still filling and delicious. The chips & salsas they bring at the beginning are spicy We also ordered the guacamole & elotes and both were so good! Tried various drinks - all were good! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. They have music playing but you are still able to have conversations. The environment is elegant and colorful indoors and fun and spontaneous outdoor. With a full bar and a great outdoor live music stage. Ali's loved that they kept the trees outdoor and made the environment more inviting. Now let me tell you the food was appetizing! From the chips salsa and beans that they bring to start to the delicious mezcal varieties that they have. We had the 1/2 chicken with esquite risotto. The esquite was scrumptious. Went here for a different anniversary dinner and was not disappointed. Before we were even taken to a table we were asked about any food allergies. The place has an interesting vibe. Ambiance is cute and aesthetic, giving Tulum meets DF vibes. The floor in the women's bathroom will make you dizzy af tho. Drinks were meh and boring. I wish they'd incorporate other types of liquors/drinks, not everyone likes tequila and mezcal. In regard to the food, I always appreciate chips and salsa as a welcome. The chips were hard and rancid. The aguacate in the flautas was old and brown. The short rib "tacos" were basically wontons with salsa. Booked a reservation two weeks in advance for my birthday, because I am completely aware that this place is well known for its party ambiance. The day finally came for my reservation, Nov 11, and I had a reservation set for 12 people at 8:45 and made sure to get there 15 minutes before to check in. Again, made this reservation 2 weeks prior. Anyway, we arrive and we are told that I stated that I wanted the table outside on the patio. I was confused because I was also aware that it was going to be raining this weekend so why in the world would I ask for something outside? I reassure them I asked for something inside, as it also says in my online reservation confirmation. We're told to wait 15 minutes which results in us waiting at the front of the restaurant, where it's congested and stuffy, until after 10 pm where we're finally seated in a not so special table. My friends went on to constantly ask the women in the front what was going on and they finally tell us that due to some parties having reserved their celebrations outside, the staff had to move them inside due to the rain, leaving our reservation being pushed back. So basically accusing me of requesting outside when in reality they moved all these people, who obviously do not check weather updates, inside where WE were supposed to be. I didn't really receive anything special due to this misunderstanding other than a too early singing of happy birthday. Food is great, however portions are really small. Two tacos were definitely not enough for some of my guests. I also appreciate my friends defending me from this misunderstanding. Definitely disappointed. read more

i had my birthday dinner here today (may 25). I forgot my waiters name not gonna lie but he was really attentive and kind, and made sure to tend to my friends' and i's needs . ALL of them. he checked in often, made sure we were informed on the menu, and when i had a question on the steaks , he bought out two of them to show me the size and he explained in detail the differences of those steaks. the vibe there is very "nice night out", so don't think you have to dress up fancy. DO dress nice tho. anyways. i got the ribeye cantinero....it was amazing!!!! they even blowtorch it so that was really cool to see. the dish comes with a side of truffle fries which were also great. all my friends enjoyed their dishes thoroughly, and the staff celebrated my birthday with me and sang to me so that was pretty fun. overall this place is great and i will not hesitate to go back again anytime soon!!! big fan :) read more
