We purchased thousands of dollars worth of gear as soon as we completed the class. As we became more experienced, we found that we were over charged for supposedly new but extremely outdated gear. We've had odd experiences with some of it - like our computers showing we're going deeper when we're surfacing, tanks popping out of BCs, you name it. These aren't just things - these are life sustaining tools needed to keep you safe. Harry is more interested in making a buck than ensuring safety and a lifelong customer. As others have mentioned, I've had good service from other guys in the shop filling tanks.

Only after waiting until 03Aug for this unprofessional association to supply me the online course access code and leaving another message for this organization that I was making a claim for them to return my money, did they bother to call me back. The call-back finally came today and I was told I had never called them before which what a complete falsehood. I am filing a complaint with the state attorney general's office regarding this organization's business practices. Recommend that if you are thinking about signing up for this online course, you think again. They are both unresponsive and rude.

I have a 15hp Mercury 2-stroke outboard engine that had a frayed and stretched control cable. The…read moreengine wouldn't shift between drive, neutral and reverse. I took the engine to Performance Marine who conducted a very thorough inspection of the engine and recommended I get a tune-up and service the water pump as well as fixing the tiller cable. I also had one transom bolt that was stripped and they replaced that as well. This engine is a workhorse and I have had it for decades with no issues. It is reassuring to know it has now been professionally inspected and tuned up. I will probably get many more years out of it. Ironically, after I picked up the engine from Performance Marine, it was literally a YEAR before I put her in the water. When I finally did, I was nervous (and a bit embarrassed) that I had never tested it after the repairs. To my delight, she fired up on the second pull! A fine day ensued crabbing and sight-seeing on Dungeness Bay in Sequim.

We rented a pontoon boat from Yarrow Bay Marina for the blue angels today/Thursday. They called us…read morelast night at 4 o'clock and cancelled our boat saying there was an issue with a prop. We had to cancel with two other couples coming out on the boat and then when we got to the dock this morning, we saw them putting the boat back in the water and we said well if it's functioning, can we take the boat out and they said yes. Well the Boat went no more than 6 knots which is below the speed limit in Lake union and we had to go all the way across from Kirkland to Andrews Bay it took an hour. We almost had to call twice for a tow. They still charged us. They gave us a discount, but they still charged us a good chunk of money for that boat, even though it wasn't functioning properly and they claimed we were out for eight hours what were we supposed to do? Just not go out in the boat and not go watch the blue angels? The boat barely ran - literally if we tried to go over 3000 RPMs the boat would just spin out in the engine wouldn't work anymore. When we got there in the morning at 10:30 AM, the entire bathroom was out of toilet paper when we came back at 6:30 PM, was out of toilet paper again. L A very sad excuse for a Marina! Do not ever go near this place to rent a boat that's all I can say. They'll give you a boat that doesn't run and charge you anyway. Stay away!

I'd had Costica at MarineTec come out and do some service and upgrades on it. Well, just last Friday night - it died. Costica came right out and fixed it. Even though the failure was in a part of the unit that he did not touch, he repaired it under warranty! As a result, we were able to head out on our summer boating vacation with a nice warm boat! Really enjoying the heat with the cold/wet summer we've been having! Service above and beyond, it really doesn't get any better than that.
