Never received a call back or an email with the course access code. Only after waiting until 03Aug for this unprofessional association to supply me the online course access code and leaving another message for this organization that I was making a claim for them to return my money, did they bother to call me back. The call-back finally came today and I was told I had never called them before which what a complete falsehood. I am filing a complaint with the state attorney general's office regarding this organization's business practices. Recommend that if you are thinking about signing up for this online course, you think again. They are both unresponsive and rude.

Waist of money. Definitely a Cash grab. It's hard to find a good job where you're not spending your…read moretime traveling or being away from home. Be prepared to work long days. Most divers only last three years in the industry. I know some people working in the gulf making $20 an hr (started off at $19 something) being a tender. You spend 32k (plus housing) for a school only to be making $20 an hour in the gulf. On top of that, in the gulf you have to be a tender making $20 an hour for TWO to three YEARS before breaking out and actually being able to dive. I also heard that some of the big "dive" companies in Seattle seasonally dive and work topside a lot. So not much diving. Luckily I got a good dive job where I don't have to travel and I make decent money (and I do a good amount of diving). I learned most of what I know at my job. I didn't need DIT to get me where I'm at. Don't waist your GI bill here or your own money. Save yourself the time and headache. Put your ego aside and actually try get a degree. You're NOT going to become an "underwater welder". You get to weld like a week underwater at DIT. Don't allow admissions, tell you otherwise. My saving grace was knowing someone in the industry who had already been in the industry for some years. But if you join, good luck and dive safe. Comment on this if you want to explain more. We found nothing marked at a thrift level. It's a great idea, but if I'm only saving $50 on a $900 item, I'm gonna go buy it new, with the options of returnability and a warranty. Port Townsend has a similar marine thrift and it is WAY better! Used means no more than 40% of "new" cost.
