I would be very very careful about spending your money here…read more We spent over $3,000 between a full setup of cold water dive gear and brownie 12v compressor that Harry recommended for our system and needs. On our first dive the compressor failed to perform as expected, it didn't fit our style of 12v plug (which was the reason we had purchased this particular system from Harry in the first place.) From Alaska we called Harry to deal with the problem he never returned our calls. We initiated phone contact 4 more times over our summer. Each time saying that he would look into the problem and each time never hearing back. We took it on ourselves to do extensive troubleshooting, we rewired the plug/made adapters, (all to no avail) the system would not work when plugged into either of our vessels. When we brought the compressor back in the fall to come up with a solution, it was the end of the summer dive season and he told us that it was in not in returnable condition. We used the unit for two 30 minute dives, cleaned it after each use and stored it in a storage bin afterwards for safe keeping. Harrys solution to the problem was to offer $0 in credit for a $2000 dollar unit and suggested an even more expensive units without even doing as much to removing the freight charges. Throughout the process he avoided accepting any responsibility for selling us a product that was incompatible with our system. Like the other one star review says, the rest of the staff seems really nice.

My husband and I took classes here. We felt lucky to find a local shop that could help us find the…read moreappropriate gear. We purchased thousands of dollars worth of gear as soon as we completed the class. As we became more experienced, we found that we were over charged for supposedly new but extremely outdated gear. We've had odd experiences with some of it - like our computers showing we're going deeper when we're surfacing, tanks popping out of BCs, you name it. These aren't just things - these are life sustaining tools needed to keep you safe. Harry is more interested in making a buck than ensuring safety and a lifelong customer. As others have mentioned, I've had good service from other guys in the shop filling tanks.

I just had my 13 year old 34 foot sailboat in at CSR Marine for bottom maintenance, a PSS shaft…read moreseal replacement and running gear maintenance, and some minor electrical and electronics work. I was impressed with the quality of the work and the communication. They laid out a very reasonable work plan, and pointed out a couple of issues that they suggested I handle (more cheaply) myself (even supplying manufacturer part numbers). They hit their budget estimates, were very clear when communicating about a couple of problems that were discovered during the work, and were patient and willing to have me continually asking about the work, to learn more about my boat and about the maintenance work that was being done. I left the yard with all of the work done that I had wanted done, with a great bottom, and with the running gear spinning like a top. This is not the cheapest yard around (I did cringe when I saw the final bill!), but the quality of work, and personal attention, were top notch. I'm very happy to be caught up on my deferred maintenance and to be confident in my systems, and that peace of mind is worth it. Oh, and I'm now about a knot faster than before I went in. Highly recommended. I'll be back.
