Such a quaint coffee shop! They hang local art for sale, use special cups for the regulars, and have stellar food. I didn't actually have any coffee, although the gentleman next to me he says he comes here almost every day, specifically for the coffee. The soup and sandwich combo is perfect on a rainy day. Love this place! It's a little gem tucked away in Jacksonville. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful in touring the menu. We just went to Muddy's this morning and it was amazing. The gentleman that owns the place makes the best lattes ice or hot. I just got an iced white chocolate latte and it's perfect. This is the place I get my Reuben! :-) I have been to several places in town and so far they have all been OK, edible, but nothing great and then came Muddy's. I gave it a try and I was hooked, when I need that fix Muddy's is the place I go! The staff is always friendly, service is quick, sandwich is great. I have never had any negative experiences here. When I go, I only order the Reuben sandwich (which is great) and have no idea what the others taste like. Based on the quality of my Reuben I'm sure the others are just as good, Im just so elated about the Reuben I don't pay any mind to everything else they offer. Its sad I know, I think I may have an addiction or more like, Reuben has got me whipped and I just can't get enough. ; ) ... Sorry, moving on... Love, love, love that they ROAST and grind their own coffee beans! I've bought 3 different flavors, including their organic blend, and have yet to be disappointed. Adorable place!! Excellent salads & sandwiches. This place is quiet and comfortable, like a true coffee house/cafe` should be. The food is fresh and the menu is simple (bonus). Muddy's as a shared parking lot in a strip-mall & there is an atm nearby which is a plus. We only found this place because it popped up on my phone as being nearby on our way back from the beach. I am glad it did I had their chicken salad sandwich everything about it even down to the bread was great. Service was extremely quick and friendly. Family owned and operated. I was driving thru Jville and was not feeling like fast food. I found this little gem on yelp. I picked Muddy's because it was open at 3:30pm, not fast food and on my route. Glad I did. The egg salad on rye was pretty good. I chose the pasta salad as my side. Good as well. Muddy's is a lovely and friendly coffee spot outside of the New River gate. As soon as you walk into their establishment, a member of their staff greets you with a smile and informs you of their daily special on coffee and meal items. I ordered the mocha chocolate shake with irish cream which almost knocked my socks off because of how much espresso they put into their coffee! Muddy's coffee is not for the faint of heart but for true coffee lovers you definitely get your money worth in caffeine. The drink was slightly difficult to drink due to chunks of ice coming up the straw, however, eventually the chunks melted leaving a cold kick of energy in a cup. The food offered at Muddy's is made to order and fresh which makes it an excellent spot for breakfast or lunch.
