Since we were unsure of what we wanted to order, we were able to sample 6-7 beers. The bartender was very accommodating. Our group settled on Rock Cut Red, Gourd Help Us and Summer Sting. We also ordered from the small food menu and split a pulled pork sandwich and deluxe burger. The food was good and made to order, served with fries and a small side of pasta salad. The beers were cold and tasty. The best thing was being able to sit outside on such a gorgeous day. There is a bar and some tables inside but we couldn't stay inside on a day like this. Outdoor seating is at picnic tables in an area around the perimeter of the brewery but there is ample lawn space where dogs are welcome and cornhole can be played.

Y'all, they moved to Hallstead…read more Oh. My. Goodness. I cannot sing enough praises for this brewery. I have found, I think, only two of their beers that I wasn't keen on. The beers are always very well balanced, always gentle with a very distinct flavor (if you can imagine that), and always served with a smile. Try the Belgian Peach, if they have it. Or the midnight lager, which is a similar darkness to a Guinness, but you don't have to chew it. The (forgive me, I've forgotten what they named it) jalapeño beer is most definitely worth your time, if you're into that slight burn in your throat and belly. I've heard they to some excellent hard seltzers, too, but I'm always too excited to try the new beers to actually drink any seltzer. And when you're ready to eat, 2 Dogz has partnered with a BBQ joint worthy of being served with the best brewery in the area: Red Rock. Definitely try out their chicken, it will change your life (especially after a few of those midnight lagers). The staff adores dogs, so bonus points! There's a treat jar behind the bar, and they will absolutely coo over your pooch and bribe them with treats. If you're passing through or in the area and trying to find something interesting to put in your mouth, definitely try 2 Dogz. They're worth every penny.

There were…read moreseveral people eating at the outdoor picnic tables (either in the sunshine or shielded inside the pole barn type pavilion where the music was). I went inside to order a drink and some food and was passed by twice before the woman said she'd be with me. Another younger girl came over and asked if I wanted to order something. Odd questions since I'd been standing there looking at the menu that was on the bar as well as looking at the beers they had listed on the board. I ordered a wheat blonde beer and told her I also wanted to place a food order. She told me I couldn't do that there, and said I needed to order from the food truck table. That table had a chalkboard with their three specials, different items than the bar menu so I ordered off of that, was given a pager and headed outside (The food truck girl was very kind and asked where I was sitting but I hadn't picked a table yet) I ordered a cauliflower margarita pizza which was just the right size to pair with my beer. It came out quick and hot and tasted good. I sat at my table eating alone and enjoying the music but found that that's what everyone was doing. Sitting at their own tables. Enjoying the music or conversing amongst themselves but keeping to themselves. For a brewery with live music on a sunny Saturday afternoon it was just ok.

The Pilsner was also a great light beer filled with flavor. The Irish beer ( I forget the name) was pretty good, I usually don't like a dark beer and I would order this ! Food was ok. We shall see what we shall see soon, for as this is the last night I can do such things before heading west for a while. I'm thankful this visit was long enough to permit two visits to the rooted establishment. If they opened a 2.0 that's what they should call it. Rooted on Main Street. Tasty treats and ample cerveza offerings. Spirits for those that enjoy Halloween all year round. Art by local artists on the walls and some you can take with you evening of. Others you must wait for, but that makes your heart grow fonder. Main attribute that lies beneath the visible veneer of happy is a felt sense that the folks that own and run the establishment care about their customers and the patron experience. This isn't necessarily a rare thing, other shops in town and around do as well. But it's a good thing, and good to appreciate and be outwardly thankful for. So. Thank you Roots people. See you in an hour.

I ordered the Goat Cheese Honey Flatbread (I think that's what it was called), which was a delicious combination of creamy goat cheese, peppery arugula, savory crispy prosciutto, and sweet honey drizzle. I paired it with the Vanilla Habanero cider, which had just enough heat to balance the sweetness. I liked that so much I went home with a 4-pack! Fun atmosphere, good food, creative ciders, and a lively crowd. I'll definitely be back. Plus as a bonus they have seating not only at the bar and tables but on a bus!!

The service was friendly, the environment was clean and welcoming, and I left with a great impression of Awestruck Ciders. Unfortunately, my visit last weekend was a huge disappointment. The service was extremely slow, and the bartenders came across as dismissive and uninterested. They also didn't seem nearly as knowledgeable about the ciders or what they were serving. The overall environment was noticeably dirty and poorly maintained. Sitting in the bus honestly felt like sitting in a trash can, which made it difficult to enjoy the experience. The parking situation also needs attention. There are no clearly marked parking lines, and the entrance/exit has some very large potholes that make getting in and out feel hazardous. As for the ciders themselves, I was disappointed there as well. They all seemed to taste very similar, and I didn't notice much distinction between the different flavors. It's unfortunate because my first experience was so positive that I was excited to come back. Unfortunately, the difference between the two visits was significant, and based on my most recent experience, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

The architecture and detailed woodworking throughout the space are gorgeous, and the expansive grounds make it an incredible location to host a party, event, or large gathering. We especially loved relaxing on the deck overlooking the water feature and fountain--such a serene backdrop. We visited with our 1-year-old for a beer tasting and some snacks in the main dining room, and I was surprised to see they had high-chair seats specifically designed for high-top bar tables! It's those thoughtful, family-friendly touches that make a huge difference when you're going out. As for the beers, they are fresh, seasonal, and delicious. If you're a fan of seasonal craft beers, I recommend trying their featured pumpkin brew--it comes with a cinnamon sugar rim and is phenomenal! Whether you're stopping by for fresh beer, tasty snacks, or just to let the kids run around the lawn while you grab a 4 pack to-go, this place is a must-visit.
