Good service! Good food! Clean diner. Easy parking right in downtown Oxford, NY. Stop in for breakfast/lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Yummy breakfast, will totally visit again. Omelette, French toast and sausage and gravy was great.

Very quaint home style restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. Food was great as were the prices and the staff. I look forward to going again. read more

Top 10 ice cream experiences of my life. I had panda paws and it was delicious. Also had a great atmosphere

Food is freshly prepared here and is of high-quality. The service is polite and prompt and the ambience is friendly cozy and warm. I visit Hopi three times a year when I vacation in Chenango county. This restaurant always makes my day. read more

Hoppies is a great little slice Americana. I'm going to spend most of the time in this review, talking about their baklava. It is home made, and the piece size is gargantuan! The staff is some of the friendliest people I've met. They are truly happy to meet you. I hope isn't bad to say, but it's what I would imagine eating in Mayberry would be like. read more

Very friendly server, felt very welcome here. Clean establishment and yummy food. We got the omelette with bleu cheese & bacon, as well as home fries and gravy over rye toast with a side of bacon. The BEST home fries I've ever had! A little crispy, nice fluff inside. Eggs were just okay, but the marble rye toast with gravy was very delicious! Definitely a step back in time to visit Hoppie's; a fun and unique experience! read more

Nice place in a quaint little Village, food portions are reduced perhaps due to the current NY Cost of doing business environment. Wait staff is hit and miss, rushed and times not attentive to surroundings. Food quality is good given the area. read more

We got a lot of food, a lemonade, a coffee, two burgers, pancakes, and a bagel. There was animal hair on the floor. There was dust on the napkin container. There was dirt on the napkin container. The coffee mug looked like it hadn't been washed in 50 years. The cheese sauce on our fries was disgusting, I don't mean bad, I mean ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. All of our fries had no salt, and were barely fried. (Horribly, I should mention) There was MOLD ON MY BURGER. I ate one bite, and realized. I almost puked. Their lemonade was pretty good, but it tasted too sweet, to the point of seeming like something had gone bad. There was scum / residue or something on the spoon, absolutely disgusting. It was actually horrifying. I find it hard to believe they have a license to sell food, and if they do, I think it should be revoked. 0/100. Never coming here again. In short, don't come here unless you love scummy restaurants that serve mold on their food; and I don't think many people are into that. read more

Went on vacation to Oxford, NY with my boyfriend recently and we stopped in for lunch here. Our waitress was so kind and made us feel very welcomed. They served breakfast all day which was great because my boyfriend was in the mood for breakfast. I got a tuna melt and it was on the most delicious rye bread I have very eaten. Cheap and good food! read more

The place suffers from zero competition. Service is fine but the food and the pricing of that food is not good. I did not get the feel the places cares about the food at all. Had a "special" brisket (or pastrami or corned beef - don't really remember) on a roll sandwich. So, a sandwich by itself cost $10 and a sandwich with two sides and corned bread cost $14. Sounds somewhat reasonable so far. Unfortunately, I'm used to appropriate sandwich sizes for these level of prices. The size of that roll was a half the size I'm used to - normal NYC roll. There were several slices of brisket - around 25% of what I expected for $10. And that is it. Nothing else. No mayo, no Russian dressing... nothing. The two sides were just fine, the corn bread was too crumbly. Also, ordered buffalo chicken wrap. Well, whatever (and, again, not much) was inside the wrap was soaked in blue cheese dressing. Soaked. The wrap was in reality a blue cheese wrap. Nasty. There were some other issues with the food but whatever I wrote I hope gives the potential customers a warning as to what to expect. read more

Quick service, friendly people and consistent food. I typically have breakfast here.

This is my favorite hangout, home away from home, everybody is like family. Great food great atmosphere , always look forward to going here . Cant beat the food, homemade pies cant say enough about the waitresses and service . read more

We stopped in this morning and had the most amazing breakfast. The waitress was absolutely wonderful and the food portions were Beyond generous. We have decided when we're up here from now on we will just go out for breakfast. The value was wonderful, it would have cost us more to buy the ingredients to make breakfast and it would have been nowhere near as good. Definitely a must try when you're in this area read more

I grew up coming here as a child, trying to conquer the "kitchen sink sundae", and it still feels like home. I'm so glad this establishment still exists. read more

Love this place. I might be biased because I've been going here since I was little, but I never visit Oxford without stopping here. It completes the trip for me. You can sit up at the counter and the staff are all friendly, making your food where you can see everything. There's a jukebox and they offer huge baked goods like cookies and brownies. They have an option where you can get 2 different panini halves to try more than one sandwich at once. The Reuben is good! The ice cream is just your average stuff, but I always get the peanut butter lover's sundae. Across the street is Lafayette Park, where you can sit on benches around a fountain and enjoy your treats. Great atmosphere and awesome 50's decor. read more

This is the best place around! The food and the service is completely unparalleled in this area! Hoppie's has a down-home easy-going fibe! All the food is sooo good and made to order so everything comes out hot and delicious! Even all the pies and cakes are made in house so they are soo fresh!! I keep going back again and again!! I recommend this place to everyone!! Morgan is my favorite waitress!! She's always sweet happy and helpful!! read more

I'm so glad this place continues on! It's adorable. We hadn't been in a few years, it's about a 35 minute drive from home - but a pretty drive, so worth it. They serve a wide variety of Perry's ice cream as well as soft serve and make great sundaes. Yesterday I got a delicious taco salad and my husband got a fried fish sandwich that was a generous filet, nice and golden crisp and sweet potato fries. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the lemon berry Marscapone cake that I had... holy yum, seriously one of the best pieces of cake I've had in ages!! I'm still thinking of it today and actually think I'll need some more very soon lol... My son agreed. Our server was sweet and attentive, the food came out in a timely fashion. If you have never been to Hoppie's, it's pretty special and worth a visit - if like me, it's been awhile, you'll be happy to revisit. read more

Food was good and pretty cheap the service left a lot to be desired. The waitress was slow to wait on me, she was on the phone. I had to go get my own menu. read more

This is a neat theme restaurant that resembles a 50's soda fountain. The food is pretty decent and they appear to have that homemade style touch. The prices are also pretty decent and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for things. If I could give this place 3 1/2 Stars I would but its just not to the 4 star level. read more

Baked goods, breakfast menu, sandwiches and wraps, and yes, ice cream. Maybe 10 or so flavors of Perry's, plus soft serve. Egg creams, root beer floats, local favorites and a 25 scoop sundae in a classic ice cream parlor/soda counter environment. Outdoor seating on the benches in the square across the street are an option, too. read more

Best place for ice cream in Oxford! The Friday Fish Fry is GREAT. But the best part is the service; Stoyana makes every visit so much fun!

If you are looking for a great place for lunch or dinner in a diner / ice cream parlor atmosphere there is no better place in town. There are lots of sandwiches, wraps, quiche, and soup for lunch. Sunday through Saturday features a different weekly dinner special. Monday: Teriyaki Orange Chicken, Tuesday: Salmon, Wednesday: Meatloaf, Thursday: California Cobb Salad, Friday: Fish Fry, Saturday: Ham & Pierogies, and Sunday: Stuffed Portabello. There are also many dessert choices. read more

All four in our party enjoyed the food we ordered. The waitress was very pleasant and prompt with our orders. Of course, we had ice cream to round off the meal and we left happy that we picked this place today! read more

We stopped in for lunch today. We were greeted by the nicest waitress, she is here from Bulgaria going to school. She made the experience that much better with her bubbly, friendly personality. We both had the Vermont Style Chicken Salad Sandwich (chicken, dried cranberries, onion, celery topped with red onions lettuce and tomato) on rye. Our order was filled quickly, the sandwich was delicious and the fries were nice and crispy. They have specials like meatloaf (Wednesday) and fish fry (Friday) that I can't wait to try. They have menu selections for vegetarians and a great selection of not your average menu items. They also have lots of ice cream flavors served in a cone, sundae or shake, but we were too full to try any. The prices are reasonable as well, a must stop on your foodie list. read more

It was very hot yesterday, we ran to get ice cream not thinking how late it was. It was 15 minutes before closing and the waitress was pleasant, no problem she took our orders talked with us. Very clean facility, everyone was able to find favorite ice cream. We had both soft and hard ice cream in our group, cups and cones all good. They have redesigned the interior of this location and it has more space. They also carry Boars Head Cole Cuts ! Bonus.. pleasant experience. read more
