Great cheesecake in town! Also with Vegan & Gluten free options! When you walk in you can see the sign of different flavors, you can order a large cheesecake, or slices for various prices. Slices are about $5 a slice. My brother is vegan and we ordered all 5 of the vegan flavors-- raspberry swirl, Oreo, New York cheesecake, chocolate marble, and blueberry swirl. I asked the worker what her favorite was and she said the Bailey's Irish Crème one, but this month I'm going dry and didn't want any alcohol, so she said that the dark chocolate raspberry and cafe Au lait have been selling so I got the dark chocolate raspberry. You have to write your flavors down using a clip board, pen, and paper and wait for them to prepare your order, unlike a traditional bakery. They have a nice store front, easy parking and even free keurig coffee while you're waiting for cash tip/donation! It took about 5-10 minutes to wait and there is usually instructions to thaw out your cheesecake before eating because some are frozen. A big variety of home made cheesecakes! They also sell cheese cake merchandise like bucket hats and cards inside. They accept cash and card.

Terrific cheesecake! The owner is lovely and really welcoming. She will guide you on storage of a whole cheesecake for best results, so you can grab a slice out of the freezer and two hours later- boom, amazing cheesecake ready to eat. Lovely little space tucked away in Saint Louis Park, very cute inside with seating and a Little Free Library. Stop in for a slice, a whole cheesecake, or order online. Great place!

Gluten-free strawberry swirl cheesecake was very good. The gluten-free crust had a distinct flavor... not bad, just obviously gluten-free. But it's such a thin layer that it doesn't really bother me. The vegan raspberry swirl was legit. A very yummy dessert. FYI - The slices were served frozen, so I waited a couple of hours for them to thaw and it was then perfect for consumption. There are about 4-5 vegan options from which to choose. I don't know if they rotate these options, but I hope the raspberry is still around when I go back.

You know, have you ever just been sitting around thinking, "wow I could really go for a great slice of cheese cake"? Maybe it's just me but whatever, don't judge my life . This place is so cute I love it. It's in kind of an odd industrial area, but whatever. Just go and give them a try. Inside is cute and "homey" with a small area you can sit and enjoy your cheesecake and feel like you're at home. When you first walk in you're met with their menu board of options and boy are there a lot. This particular trip I wanted a good classic NY slice, I tried their pumpkin option, and got a little crazy and tried the Black Forest. All amazing (although that Black Forest had a lot going on in the rich department). Pending how you look at it, it can be pricey, but with price, comes quality. Prove me wrong (in this instance).

Pi day treats: Oreo, triple berry, lemon blueberry

I've never heard of this place until I saw a "Pi" day promotion and decided to check it out. I'm sure there is a backstory but "Muddy Paws" sounds more like a pet grooming spot and not a cheesecake place. However, so glad I gave it a try! The Pi day event was actually a lot of fun, with an Elton John cover band jamming in the playground. I picked up 3 different slices and all were amazing! Great texture, vibrant flavors and definitely a place I will come back to!

I was a winner of a weekly giveaway, and paid a little extra to get the turtle cheesecake. I shared it with my family, and we all LOVED it! My dad said that it was the best cheesecake he'd ever had , and he's a big fan of all cheesecake, so that's saying something! It was smooth, silky, and tastes amazing. I will definitely try some of the other flavors soon!

Muddy Paws has the best cheesecake. When I picked it up, I requested it to be frozen so we can eat some and travel by car to Ohio. Its texture is the creamiest when thawed and tastes great, right out of the freezer if your teeth can handle it! Unlike Kowalski's crust which has a refrigerator shelf life of 2 and a half days before turning soggy, Muddy Paw's crust remains crumbly. I've had a big selection of their flavors and really enjoyed them. I like to order a plain one for a dinner party and serve a variety of toppings, which get ignored as my pals can't get to the cheesecake quick enough! The cakes come pre sliced but you can slice again for a smaller serving. I'm glad they survived and will continue to thrive!

Do you like cheesecake? If so, this should be your go to spot. We went there on March 14 (Pi Day) and every slice was $3.14. Tried the classic New York and the salted caramel. Both excellent and good sized slices.

Somehow I'd never been to muddy paws before. That cheesecake is seriously excellent. I had the Oreo. It's not cheap but it's handmade and very tasty.

Nothing better in a quarantine than a slice of cheesecake!! After living in SLP for two years now I'm glad to finally make my way over to Muddy Paws. Be careful if you're coming from 100/Lake St: there is construction and it's closed, so take Hwy 7 if you can. Anyway, a friend of mine went with me and we each got a slice (which I believe are $4 per). We got a cute little to go box and sat outside. All staff were wearing masks too, and there's hand sanitizer on the table. There's a table outside so we decided to eat there. The cheesecake is super good. The crust is nice and buttery and the cheesecake is made with love. Only two things that lowered this from 5 stars: - there wasn't a ton of raspberry flavoring so I really only got a slice of regular cheesecake (which was great) but still, would prefer just a little more raspberry - when I got my slice, the middle was still slightly frozen. Thankfully, when we got outside it was humid enough to thaw out pretty quick but the thought of crunchy cheesecake makes my teeth hurt so it's something I'll look out for next time. Overall, I'd definitely go back. My friend ordered the strawberry lemonade and I'd love to try that one!

These cheesecakes are delicious! Staff were delightful and so kind! Will definitely be going here for future events.

Do they offer low carb cheesecake?

Not sure if it is offered every day, but I know that she was attempting a low-carb cheesecake. I'd call ahead to see if it's available.

How did I miss this place across from Trader Joe's in the past? Was on the other side of town and checked trusty Yelp for "Coffee Shops Near Me". Gotta go. Getting out of the parking lot was a task. One side is no left turn onto Excelsior Blvd. Try to turn back the other way with cars entering on two sides..yes two sides to enter, only one to exit. It's a comfortable little store. Parking was a little tricky, but we were able to get a spot on the street in front of the store. If they had been busy, I don't know that we'd been able to find a place close by to park. The interior was casual and welcoming. We walked in and started perusing the displace case. There were a lot of delicious options. We had to discuss who was going to get what so we could try various items. I ended up getting a Caramelized Onion & Gruyere Quiche, she chose the Bacon & Goat Cheese Quiche. Of course, being out of towners we had a lot of questions. The staff was accommodating and answered everything enthusiastically. Even though I am not Gluten Free, I do tend to be a little watch dog like for my partner, only because she has ordered items in the past that we thought were gluten free only to find out they really weren't. They were understanding and assured me that everything was Gluten Free. After ordering we went to their small indoor seating area to try our selections. Overall, the food was fantastic. I can't say anything disparaging about either of the quiches. We had a very intense discussion regarding which one of our quiches was better. Honestly, we ended up trading half way so we could enjoy both. She was pleased with the flavor and the crust of the quiche. For those of us that eat gluten, we know that sometimes gluten free items have a slightly different flavor or texture that, while not bad, just isn't the same. That really was not what I experienced at Hold the Wheat. The flavor was 100% on point with what one would expect. The texture was a little crumblier than gluten full options, but it didn't have that grainy texture. It was fantastic. While ordering in their display I saw a Dill Pickle & Pink Lemonade cup cake. According to the staff it was a novelty they made for the Minnesota State Fair and was popular there. My interest was piqued; thus, I ended up ordering one to take home. I did not need a cupcake in the morning. Before I go further into this, let me just say that I ended up eating it two days after I bought it. So let me just say, it's a novelty. The flavor was unique. I like dill pickles... but apparently, I am not the dill pickle & pink lemonade flavored cupcake fan. I'm not letting this influence my review because of the nature, but it did look appealing. I only mention it because it's a fun item they made for a special occasion and is indicative of their creativity, but it has no impact on this review. Overall, this place was fantastic, if we get back to the area, we will definitely go back. If you are Gluten Free, or in a relationship with someone that is Gluten Free, this place is a must.
