You'll find humongous beer battered onion rings, poutine, and other items that you're not likely to find elsewhere. Our server greeted my question of "how are you?" with the reply, "Same s***, different day." Given that I'm a customer, I felt like he was telling me that I was the s*** he was dealing with. Not exactly a hospitable or welcoming response for a customer. Thankfully, the food was decent. We shared a reuben. It was good. The bread could have been toasted and a bit more crisp. The cheese curds were good. The onion rings are very large. They get soggy fast, so eat them while they're hot. I'd definitely try this place again, but would recommend that the servers receive some training on appropriate and inappropriate responses to their customers. I was a little put off by the waitress. I mentioned to her the basket they have for silverware on the table was empty. She got a stack of wrapped silverware (10 or so sets) and put them on the table saying "there you go." She then walked off expecting us to fill the basket for her. Met some friends at Muddy Cow, it was set up spacious for social distancing. The staff were all masked up so we felt comfortable being there. The staff, our server Adam was very attentive and good. Just went in after a stay with the country inn next door. I drank too much because they sell 2 for one drinks. It was a clean place because of Chad's amazing cleaning skills as a bar manager. I ordered a burger with fried jalapenos, well done. What I got was a dried out hockey puck type thing with jalapenos dipped in oil. We tried the Muddy Cow being a new restaurant in the ol' Tequilaberry's location. $5 burgers on Mondays and 2-4-1s all day on almost all drinks makes for a great place to meet up with friends. We tried the cheese curds with the honey sriracha sauce and they were fantastic! Try dipping in the honey sriracha and then the ranch sauce for a tasty flavor bomb. At $5 a burger my husband got the Hot Cow burger and the Paul Bunyan burger to try each and take half of each home for leftovers. He liked the Paul Bunyan Burger best with the cheese curds and gravy toppings. The burger patties were smaller than he originally expected, but fine for $5. I ordered the Cuban and upgraded to the onion rings. The onion rings were fantastic and so filling that most of my sandwich went home as leftovers as well. The Muddy Cow was quite busy when we arrived and had a slight wait for a table of six. We were seated at a high top table near the bar and our waiter was Jason, or as we called him 'Josh' the bartender. I work in a high end restaurant , and I was able to leave early. My husband and decided to try a new bar/restaurant in our area. I called before we left to see if there was a wait, answer "no" so we arrived about 15 minutes later. The young man who was seating was totally sweet trying to make sure if we wanted a high top or lower table! Originally we said lower until I realized the high tops had chairs with backs and said he could seat us where ever we wanted! He was so accommodating and thumbs up! Sorry I did not get his name. We were immediately seated, and immediately were approached by manager who stated we could not order food. Rude!! we love this bar but that manager needs to go. Decided to drag my dad along with me and we are not disappointed! Food came out fast and hot with amazing taste! Staff are masked up and wearing gloves as a COVID precaution. So good! We went tonight and I set my expectations low ( sorry!! Being a new place that's all) and we left really impressed. Seevice was good, food was even better! The cheese curds were sooooo good and I'm a cheese curd snob! The siracha honey sounded scary but wow it was awesome! My burger was good too. I didn't mind not having a hostess at all. I saw the sign to seat ourselves. The only thing I wish when places do this they'd have the menus already on the tables for us to check out while waiting Etc. took a few minutes for the waitress to come over. Yum!! I had one of the best burgers, the Mac and Cheese Burger. It had 2 huge thick slices of bacon. Loved it. The patio is fun in the warm summer weather. Highly recommend both. The fries weren't that crispy but we live 15 minutes away from the place so obviously they aren't gonna be that fresh. Very tasty fries though. Great food! Service was great! My wife and I tried this place for our weekly date night. Started with loaded nachos with shredded chicken, this was the highlight of the meal. Great nacho cheese, great flavor, not soggy. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich, it was good. Great bbq sauce and great waffle fries. I got the Paul Bunyou burger. One of the most unhealthy things you could eat, but very good. Cheese curds, onion rings, and sauce all on top of a burger. We went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. We called early while during this pandemic, reservations are required. They denied our reservation because "first come first serve" Okay. We showed up. There was 7 of us including 2 children. We were told that they can only serve 6. The current allowance is up to 10 people from the same family and 75% capacity. I have been to this restaurant many times and they were at 100% capacity. Trust me. The hostess which I will acquire the name of proceeded to argue with me after she walked up to the podium and asked one of the other hosts "what's the problem with these people" What was wrong? Nothing. I was simply asking a few questions to try and accommodate the party that I was with. This woman came to me with the most rude attitude that I've ever encountered in a customer based environment. She proceeded to try and argue with me and said to me. "would you rather argue with me, or sit at a table." I said back "I would like to sit at a table, but not here." it was the most unpleasant greeting experience ever. Unacceptable. read more

Bugs!!! My husband and I come to the Muddy Cow a lot. We liked the food but after going to dinner yesterday night we will not be eating there again. I ordered the fish and chips which comes with a salad or soup. I got a Cesar salad. I thought I was enjoying it until I almost ate alive 1 inch black bug crawling all in my salad. I felt so gross after that and we did not eat our dinner. My husband ordered a burger and sent it back as well. We only stayed to have drinks because the basketball game was on. 2nd attempt Saturday afternoon at 3:30 .. not packed or crazy busy . We waited 26 minutes for a server to acknowledge us and our table .. busy with drinks , food and bills for all the tables surrounding us but we got nothing. My first visit was in August and I waited 15 -20 minutes and left after no acknowledgement. I gave it a second try since I have heard the food is good but the service is hit or miss . Total miss in my opinion.. sign says seat yourself .. so both times we did with no server stopping over, no greeting or menu drop off both visits were a complete waste of my time. there are enough good restaurants close by who want my business.. disappointed since it's close to home but there are much better choices in the area .. Went to the Muddy Cow this past weekend while in town for a hockey tourn. The place was a pleasant surprise for typical "bar and grill". We were able to seat ourselves and chose the outdoor patio to enjoy the weather. Often times, with seat yourself, you are left waiting for a server to notice.... not the case at all. We were quickly greeted by a server who took our drink order and let us know that although not their table, they would place the order and our server would be right with us. (p.s. drinks are 2x1 any drink) Our server brought the drinks, introduced himself and gave menu suggestions. We ordered the pepper-jack steak wrap, flammin blue-berry burger, both getting the recommended dill fries... amazing! Food was expedited quickly, server was attentive but not intrusive. We have visited the Muddy Cow 4 times. The first time was it was good food good service. The last 3 have consisted of 1 crabby server, 1 charged the wrong amount ($75 mine was to be $35 ended up $110 and had to wait 5-10 days to be credited the $75) and the last resulted in crabby server that put in the wrong appetizer item as well as the wrong main meal. Sat and watched the people we met there eat while they "fixed" our meal. Still had to pay full price. read more
