This review is for the Enchiladas! It's been awhile since I've tasted something as good and authentic as these enchiladas! There was a favorite place in Fremont that retired and will never be matched, but this is close! No salsa bar and free chips but that's ok. Who knew tucked away in a sleepy strip mall next to Safeway, at a place called Mucho Wraps, there would be such good quality Mexican food? I ordered one chicken and one cheese enchilada with the well seasoned, non-cloying red sauce. The tortillas were soft and fresh, the rice was perfectly broken and fluffy, and the refried beans were warm and tasty. I rarely can finish an entire plate of enchiladas but this time I did! Amazing! My husband enjoyed his special pork wrap that was well seasoned and spicy, and could not stop eating it as well. He enjoyed the small container of salsa/sauce that came with it as well. What must have been the cashier/owner was cordial in an old school kind of stoic manner. Same with the food preparer/server. There are only a few stools against the window for indoor seating but outdoor tables outside. They have both a soda machine and canned sodas. Coca cola, of course. When we were there, there were plenty of Hispanic tradesmen/customers, in addition to regulars from the neighborhood. You know an authentic/good place by the customers! So glad the catchy restaurant name didn't distract me from trying it! read more

While I'm on yelp I just want to say the Thai burrito is an unusual delight. If you say spicy it will be spicy! So proceed cautiously lol. Nice balance of peanut sauce, chicken, jasmine rice and zucchini. They just need a horchata or Thai iced tea offering on the menu to put out the fire! read more

It is great Mexican food in Moraga with the correct price point, family run, I had a few meals from there back in the early 2000's but have been a consistent customer since 2013 (less these days unfortunately b/c I no longer work in Moraga). I stopped here during a work day on the road and was happy with what I got, the Mesquite Chicken Salad - fresh ingredients and just the right portion size, also loved the dressing. At around 11:30 on Saturday morning I was seriously jonesing for some lunch. Every single place in the area I was in seemed to be closed, except for Mucho Wraps. It's a very small place, with a few tables inside to sit at. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Wrap, and also a side of chips with guacamole. The chips and guacamole came up immediately. The amount of chips was definitely plentiful; however, and I never thought I would ever say this; it could have used a little salt. They weren't homemade, and the chips were pretty thin, but for the price it wasn't bad. Plus it helps that the guacamole was pretty killer. My wrap tasted pretty awesome. The chicken was seasoned very well, the pesto sauce tasted amazing, and the rice tasted equally good. I made the mistake of cutting my wrap in half to better balance it out, and when I did a bunch of rice spilled out. No big deal, since that what forks are for. They really pack in the rice, and even though the rice tasted good, it was a little bit of delicious overkill. The service was very nice, and the place was very clean. I would very much enjoy visiting here again, and I'm looking forward to tasting the rest of their awesome menu. read more

Great place to grab a quick lunch! We've tried the Thai Chicken wrap and the Mediterranean Chicken wrap with a spinach tortilla. The Thai Chicken wrap was full of flavor! It's a warm wrap with grilled chicken, jasmine rice, grilled vegetables, ginger slaw and a peanut sauce. It has a little kick to it too. They stuffed the wrap with a perfect portion of each ingredient!! The second wrap, the Mediterranean Chicken wrap was even more tasty. It's more like a salad wrap with grilled chicken, spinach, lettuce, red onions and tomatoes with a light Greek yogurt sauce. Since we came here on a hot day, it was a light and refreshing wrap! It tasted really fresh. This place is small so it's better to do it as a take-out and eat it at the nearby park. The owner here is really friendly and provides excellent customer service! This is one of my favorite stops on bike rides through Contra Costa County - they have some vegan friendly options, but my favorite is to get their incredible house made guacamole & salsa, and warm super thin and delicious tortilla chips. Everything there is super fresh and made with care -- nice tables outside where you can enjoy visits from ravens. Nice folks! YMMV - I don't eat burritos (I'm a vegan with an allergy to beans). Mucho Wraps is our go to spot in the Lamorinda area for burritos. I always return for their Spicy Shrimp and Kid's bean and cheese. The spicy shrimp has a good kick, and shrimp in every bite. The B&C is always demolished. The service has always been great. I wish they had more extended hours on weekends. read more

I originally had Mucho Wraps 4 months ago and decided to give them a try because there were no other places around to get burritos (apparently they are "wraps" here). Nevertheless, I ordered their "muchisimo" which is basically their biggest BURRITO which is supposed to have various types of meat in combination with the standard veggies, salsa, guac, sour cream, rice, beans, etc. Upon getting it, I realized OK this is a decent sized burrito. After going about half way I realized that there is barely ANY meat in these things. To make matters worse the sour cream and guac are runny. Finally, to top it off I must have gotten some type of food poisoning because I felt sick for the remainder of the day. Fast forward to present day. Craving something other than the safeway sandwiches and psuedo-sushi or Subway, I decided to give Mucho another try. I ordered the same "muchisimo" and yet again there were only a couple pieces of meat throughout the whole thing. Huge disappointment. If I wanted to eat a bean and rice burrito I would make it myself for a fraction of the cost. The 2 stars is for the salsa that they give you. read more

Pickens are slim in Orinda. East Bay native (Clayton) and lived in Orinda 20 years. Mucho Wraps used to be really good. We stopped buying their take out burritos in 2011 because Mucho Wrap's meat to rice / beans ratio went down 75%. The flavor is good but the substance is weak and skimpy. Needed a quick take out tonight and I first looked at Yelp reviews...wondered if the quality and skimpy-ness improved. I reviewed several which complained about the lack of meat. The last two reviews were good. Went in and ordered a Thai Chicken wrap and a Chili Verde wrap. I asked the young lady (just in case), "Extra meat please on both wraps"...willing to pay the additional cost. Small bag of chips too, and I'm walking out the door for $27. Get home. Pull the wraps out. My other half wonders why we "went back". I say there are some good reviews, and it's been a few years. Needed easy tonight. We are both half way through the wraps. He asks, "Any meat yet?" I tell him, "2 small cubes, you?" He says the same. We pick around the rest of our wraps and agree that each wrap has about 1/8-1/4 cup, maybe, of meat. What pissed me off was I asked for extra meat and it wasn't at all he quantity of meat you might expect from Taco Bell! It was 200% less than what one could get at Baja Fresh or El Charro. Shame on you for being so cheap. Sorry the picture of the Thai wrap does not at all look like ours tonight. Too bad we can't support our local "family" business again.
