Jeanette and Xavier were incredibly easy to work with, the rates were reasonable and I was able to schedule only week in advance .

He has a great selection of pianos in his store and the price is very reasonable compared to other big piano stores in the area. Dennis said I can even use the price i paid for my Yamaha to upgrade to a Steinway as a credit within 10 years! After sale service is great too. I got my C1 6 months ago and Dennis is the one who maintains and tunes it. I will highly recommend Pianotek to anyone who is in the market of buying a quality piano.

Dennis reinforced that the work that has been done was up to standard. My pianos have never sounded better. He gave me a welcomed and thorougd history of both of my Steinways. Having gone through multiple tuners, it is of no doubt that he is the one. His wisdom of the mechanics and the intricacies of the instrument is evident. I have had the same tuner for several generations and he is the first one that has respected the instrument and the work that has been done. Every tuner has their own phrases that they test during tuning. Dennis is a genius. Plain and simple. His tests are the equivalent of a Carnegie Hall performance. An absolute brilliant mind. Most tuners are a chore to get through and with him, it is a performance. He taught me many things I would have never known. He is as good as it gets. There aren't enough food words. An incredibly kind and knowledgeable gentleman and a master in his craft I reinforce the other voices on Yelp and would wholeheartedly recommend Pianotek and their services. It doesn't get any better. .

Hello my husband and I made a move from new york to miami and we have had many problems and we feel…read morescammed we want to claim the money back and that there are no more victims. The first thing is that I send photos with everything there was (furniture) and negotiate with him a fixed price for the furniture plus the boxes, he said that the price was fixed and would not change (I have an email confirming this) and when they got there The workers told us it was 1500usd or they were leaving, they forced me to accept because my circumstances were: my last day of reading and I was all in boxes and my flight left at night. I have broken a table, all the furniture is damaged, the mattress folded in half is totally broken, it has the mark in the middle and you cannot lie down without going to the center (I have photos of everything) They told me that I had to notify 3 days in advance of the day that I wanted the move (I have texts) I notified an OCt 28th for the delivery to be Nov 5th (9 days before) and they arrived Nov 12th. I've had to sleep in a hotel all those days. They have charged me an extra month of storage from the 5th to the 12th (when it was their responsibility that they were not on time, I ordered the furniture in Miami for the 5th day, because I have to pay for the extra time in storage) All the communications with them so that they would speak with the building to send the IOC etc they have never been done, when I called by phone they never answered me and the texts were not. On the day of delivery they arrived with a truck that was so big-unsual (they told us it was so big because it was the last move after 5 more) and since the truck could not enter the building they charged us 400usd extra because they had to walk more than 45 feet, when we said that it was their responsibility to have checked with the building they called the boss, the boss himself insulted us "fuck your mother, fuck you, I am gonna sell your staff away" then we had to pay the 2000usd desperately, we asked him for a bill of all the expenses and they refused to give it to me, they told me to call the boss and he never answered the phone.

Our digital Picture frame was DESTROYED. If I could give No stars I would. Ivan blatantly lied about the delivery date, it was horrendous. Every time we called they pushed the date back by a week. Once they arrived we paid for a smaller truck to be able to come into our complex. This was a relentlessly exhausting move with this company. Do yourself The Favor and save the Headache, and frustration you will deal with "Active Moving" I have moved multiple times and never experienced such CARELESSNESS with my belongings. It seems my things were bashed around in the truck like garbage. Definitely not worth a penny. There's way better moving companies out there.. find anything else!

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!
