First time doing a workout like this and I definitely kicked my butt. I feel tired but amazing at the same time. I recommend everyone to try this at least once, see how you like it. Plus when u create an account u get your first class free! Nothing to loose!

I am currently in my fourth month attending the various classes here at Mu Rose Temple and I gotta say I've felt a real improvement in my physical strength as well as endurance. There have been movements I've never been able to do in my entire life that I've now started doing such as bent knee side-plank and straight-arm plank. Never in all my life did I ever see myself doing those movements, but here I am! I'm so grateful to the team here at Mu Rose! Not only have the exercise classes been helping me, but their Healing the Feminine Program has helped me out significantly. I have been healing from past traumas through the use of different modalities and TONS of movement therapy. If you've been sitting on the fence over whether or not to try this place out, I highly encourage you to. For me first starting out, the easiest-ish class was Barre 101 (although initially still kinda hard if you haven't exercised in a long time) and Barre Burn was by far the hardest and most fatiguing class. I've tried almost every class so far and I have found something I like about all of them even if it's just the fact that it challenges me and my body. I have gotten much stronger and have felt the effects of moving more into my sensual side through somatic healing of the body, which includes moving lots of energy through and out of the body. There are also dance classes as well as some recently added meditation, stretch, and hip releasing classes that have helped me feel better in-between my workout days. Whether you decide to take a more cardio-focused class or a slower strength-based class, you can have sound and energy healing to look forward to as well. It has definitely been a journey and I'm excited to keep working and growing. I wanted to add one last thing: If you are struggling financially at all, they will work with you through their non-profit, Lemuria Rose Temple. I have been able to pay sliding scale fees for various events or split up payments as well as pay in cash. I do believe they offer work-trade, but you'd have to ask them for sure :)

This was my first ever barre class I've taken, and wow - what a workout. I'm three months postpartum, and the classes offered provide the perfect workout and challenge for me, as modifications are also provided. The studio is clean and inviting. Not only did the workout catch my eye after several classes, but the owner Melissa is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable to barre. I appreciate how all the instructors at Sweat + Soul are friendly and encouraging. The instructors help guide you throughout class and make friendly corrections to optimize your positions so you can get the best workout possible. Highly recommended this studio to everyone!

It is a total body workout which includes brief stretching before transitioning to the next muscle group. I love how Sweat+Soul barre really targets the smaller muscles to help me feel strong and toned. I can attest that the workouts WILL stay challenging, even after working out here several times per week for years. Instead of getting "easier" with time, your form will slowly improve (which I think also helps to improve your posture!). If it's starting to feel easy, you're not properly engaging your muscles :) The teachers and the owner are all so friendly and know how to kick your ass in the best way. I also love how CLEAN it feels in the studio. Pretty much all other fitness studios I've tried out feel noticeably grosser compared to here. (I can understand that it's also probably due to the nature of the workout for other studios though.) The studio recently moved to Ward Village Center (Genki sushi, Kids City, etc.), on the side of the structure where Roger Dunn Golf is located. This new location doesn't have a water refill station yet, so be sure to fill up your flask before heading here.

I took advantage of the new student special ($49 for unlimited classes x 2 weeks) and had my 1-on-1 with Abigail. She worked with me to find a time for us to sit down in the studio and discuss my goals, worries, and any questions that I might have. My primary concern when looking for a place for group exercise is finding a non-judgmental space that values community and diversity. Having moved from LA, I feared being in a competitive/image conscious space that made me feel more ashamed than motivated. Before I found Breathe, I was seriously considering paying far more for private classes for this reason. I will say that Breathe surpassed this expectation with flying colors. I made sure to arrive about 15 minutes before class so that I could chat with the instructor and get a tour of the studio. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the different body types and backgrounds of people I saw attending class. Everyone seemed to know each other and it really felt like a close community to me. I specifically attended the Breathe + Restore class which was half vinyasa flow, half restorative body + mind work/meditation. This was perfect for my beginner level. When I arrived, my equipment was set up for me with a lovely placard with my name on it which really made me feel welcome. My instructor Harmony made sure to check in with me and her warm, welcoming energy definitely put me at ease. I never felt pressured to push myself beyond my current limits whereas in LA I was frequently scolded in class for not holding a position long enough. The meditative work is what really made this class shine for me and left me feeling so grateful for the experience. I am going to try a few different classes during my 2-week trial, but I am certain that I will be moving forward with a membership when it is done. Thank you so much Breathe!
