Sharing my intial experience after I came to pick up my items, just to find out that no one is in…read morethe office and my items aren't ready for pickup either. Just one week ago I had made a reservation for glassware for a small event. I chose Celebrations due to their quick response time as well as their pricing structure. I was also happy to pick up the items knowing that I would save $150 on the delivery fee. I was informed via email that I could pick up on Thursday or Friday between 9am to 2pm, so I drove about 25 minutes to Novato today (Thursday) and arrived around 9:30am. Upon arrival, I noticed the door states "by appointment only". I'm a little caught off guard because this was never stated to me, but I thought maybe it didn't pertain to me since the email communication I had received the week prior stated that I could pick up today. I called the number on the door, and Kim stated that my order was not ready and that she was not in the office today either. I would have to come back again tomorrow to pick up the items, and that they would be ready anytime between 9am-2pm. Kim seemed irritated on the phone, but I'm the customer who was told I could pick up today. She did say she could deliver tomorrow, but I'm not trying to spend $150. I wasn't upset or yelling, just asking for clarification about when I could pick up the items. Maybe she's dealing with something outside of work, but bringing that to me was uncalled for when I was only following the pickup instructions she provided me. Anyway, just wanted to share my intial impression after their misstatement about the pickup window. Hoping for a smooth pickup tomorrow!

With…read moreso many little details and big decisions to make about your big day, choosing a wedding planner may be the most important decision of all. I found Melissa through my wedding venue (Solage Calistoga) and I could not be happier with MAP Events. Since my husband and I had already picked our venue, we hired Melissa to take care of all of our other details. During our initial consultation with her, we were immediately impressed with her professionalism while not coming off too "stuffy". It was clear that she had both the experience and staff to pull off our dream wedding while staying within the confines of our budget. At no point did Melissa try to work outside of our budget, and since her pricing was a flat fee, we did not have to worry that she would try to up-sell us. In addition to creating a wedding budget, Melissa also recommended various vendors and helped shape our vision by hearing all of our ideas and making them a reality. I cannot count all of the emails that went back and forth between us during our engagement, but she was so responsive to all of our concerns. She also went to several meetings with us to help us choose our florist and stake out our venue. More than anything, Melissa gave us piece of mind that everything would be taken care of during our wedding weekend. From timelines, to dealing with difficult family members, to coordinating vendors, Melissa and her staff gave us the most special wedding weekend, and we did not have to worry about a thing. Our family and bridal party all commented about how professional and nice she was. After our wedding we immediately went on our honeymoon for two weeks. Our venue contacted us to let us know that there was surplus wine left at the resort that needed to be picked up. We panicked since we would be in Hawaii for two weeks with no way to get back to Calistoga. Before I could even respond, Melissa had already arranged to pick up our extra wine and have it stored with her staff while we enjoyed our honeymoon. It was this attention to detail as well as her ability to put out fires that makes Melissa an invaluable source for brides on the big day (and even after the fact)!

I read Georgianna G's review and would like to say that over the course of the year we planned this wedding together she was not late once and promptly returned every call. Melissa went above and beyond for us. Our venue (Annadel Estate Winery) was a complicated one. It's necessary to bring in everything from outside vendors. Tables, chairs, lighting, all the kitchen equipment, tents, even restrooms had to be rented from outside vendors and their delivery and set-up coordinated by Melissa. No small job. On top of that, the owner of that winery is...slightly...erratic in terms of...well...everything. She handled everything that came up with him with grace and aplomb. On the day of, I was able to concentrate on my new husband, family and friends with no distractions. On top of that, when the expenses were starting to creep up, we figured out that furniture from cocktail hour could do double duty during the dancing and Melissa arranged to have it moved while we were having dinner. Thus saving us quite abit of money. A direct note to all future brides: sometimes you'll get fantastical ideas in your head about what you want. Melissa will do her level best to accommodate you, but will also point out potential problems. I thought it was a fabulous idea to have peacocks roaming around. She clued me into the fact that they are actually quite mean birds. I did some research and found out that, particularly in the spring mating season, they have been known to attack people who get to close. While that would have made for a memorable wedding, I stuck with the no-peacock plan. Choose Melissa. You will not be disappointed.

She has vision and drive. Hopefully this will not be the last time we work together!

I recently had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Andrea for an extravagant, Wicked-themed birthday celebration at the Grand Bay Hotel in San Francisco. As a DJ, I've been part of my fair share of complex productions--but this event? This one had layers. We're talking immersive design, multiple performances, theatrical moments, choreographed timing, lighting cues, and the kind of attention to detail that would make Broadway stage managers sweat. And yet--through every twist, change, last-minute curveball, and behind-the-scenes chaos--Andrea stayed calm, composed, and genuinely joyful. That smile never left her face. It wasn't just impressive; it was inspiring. What struck me most was Andrea's emotional intelligence and natural leadership. She wasn't just checking off a list--she was reading the room, checking in on vendors, comforting the family, and still had the foresight to ensure every beat of the evening landed with intention. For us as DJs, a successful event relies heavily on the planner's clarity, timing, and communication. Andrea excelled at all three. Her cues were crystal clear, her flexibility never compromised the bigger picture, and her collaboration felt seamless. It's rare to find someone who can hold both the creative and logistical sides of event production in perfect harmony. Andrea is that rare gem. And beyond the work, there's a real human connection there--a warmth that draws people in, makes vendors want to go above and beyond, and creates the kind of synergy that guests can feel, even if they don't see it. After this event, I'm not only grateful--I'm inspired. I genuinely hope to work with Andrea and Mia Emma Love Events more in the future. I believe that if we continue to collaborate, we could create experiences that are unforgettable, meaningful, and consistently next-level. Andrea, thank you for the trust, the kindness, the professionalism, and for being exactly the kind of event partner every creative hopes for. I'm honored to have been a part of this one--and I'm already looking forward to the next. With deep appreciation, DJ Brandon Beach
