As far as customer service is concerned, they were nice, fair and polite. If I had a problem with something I bought, I could exchange it or get credit. Many items I noticed were knockoffs, but it's what they get, and they try to price it fair. Lower than retail. However, they did get expensive and big name products and sold them for extremely low prices. I bought the Philips Norleco 9733 shaver during the pandemic, which normally retails for almost $300, and I got it for $40. Brand new, never used, and it came with everything including extra blades. Still works great. Some stuff were opened items like furniture, washing machines, dryers, stereo equipment, housewares, etc. It's 50/50. You take a chance. It may or may not work. The parking was OK. It was small. Anyway, bummer that this place closed, just like many places in Simi Valley. But there are similar businesses outside Simi, but you're going to have to look on the maps to find them.

Finally the day before the auction I received an email asking for information about the lot # that I was interested in even though I had included that information in each email. And here we are, 30mins prior to the start of the auction, and I still haven't been approved to bid. I am beyond furious. This auction house is sloppy with poor attention to detail. They don't reply to email in a timely manner. They don't carefully read their emails. They don't care if you are registered to bid or not. If you are a seller then you should beware that this auction house is not going to do their best to ensure that you get the best price for your items. If you are a bidder, then don't get your hopes up that you will be able to bid on the item you wish for because John Moran just doesn't care.

The stuff that got moved got moved in whatever order was easy. The left the garage unnavigable with books and heavy boxes stacked on fragiles, useful kitchen things buried in the unreachable corners. I return to the old family home to find all crystal glassware, antique furniture, and kitchen goods that were leftover after auction in the dumpster. NOT ONE THING WAS DONATED! It was a pure lie. Their pricing methodology was a joke. I was hands on and kept a list of my items with the pricing. I was told this was a waste of time. Later, I found out why. All my collectibles were sold at garage sale prices. Also, items in my home not marked for sale were sold for peanuts without asking. I was ordered out of my home one hour prior to the sale start time on Day #1. They needed this time to "embellish" my sale without my knowledge. These items included fur coats on a rack, many purses of all sizes, scarves , "Chanel" sunglasses and professional jewelry cases. At the end of day #1 of the sale I arrived home with my house left unlocked and no staff present. My living room had been turned into a retail shop. The second day of the sale I arrived to my home earlier to be screamed at by the manager as their items from my living room were being packed up. No customers present. At my insistence I was handed a poor list of my items sold. I could only take a photo copy of it. I was then paid my 60%. Catherine made herself unavailable for the entire four day fiasco. It's not as if we didn't meet and have several discussions about our agreement.
