This is a beautiful little hotel in the suburbs of Murrayville. The historical inn has been beautiful restored and furnished - like traveling to a different time and place but with all the modern amenities of wifi, cable, central air-conditioning, and good quality plumbing. We had the privilege of staying in the Cinderella room (website photos give a nice idea of what each room is like). Beautifully decorated and on the side of the home where the rose vines grow. Impeccably clean. The bed was firm and pillows soft. One of the things we loved the most were the little details and touches: the hand painted quote from Mr. Murray, the artwork labels for each suite, the signature "P" on the hangers, and the chocolate & maple syrup welcome treats. Breakfast was brought to our door right on time and beautifully presented. The muffins were still warm and the high quality porcelain teapot kept our tea nice and hot. A filling continental breakfast! Kudos to Angela and her family for creating such a beautiful space and for their excellent service and communication. Can't wait to be back for a little staycation!

Everything is spotlessly clean and nicely decorated without adding too much kitsch to the whole affair. The bed was comfortable and we loved the deep soaking bathtub we used to relax after a rainy day. The fireplace in our room kept us cozy and warm all night long and we would have loved to spend another night here. The (free) Wifi was super fast by the way! We met Wally on our stay and had a nice chat with him. He is super friendly and all about organic food and sustainability. The breakfast is pretty basic but good to get your day started with coffee, cereal, fruits and self-baked fruit-muffins. If you are interested you can get lots of information about the history of this B&B, Wally's family history and you can even touch a piece of the Berlin wall! We had a great night at this B&B and would love to come back! When we left we even got a glass of organic jam to take home, so nice to have such a delicious reminder of our weekend.

It's such a lovely setting, right next to the water. The rooms are gorgeous and well-appointed, from the furniture to the linens to all the little things. There's an outdoor hot-tub with a rock-star view. Nick and Lise are especially wonderful hosts, easy to talk to, make great meals, and aren't too intrusive at all. They've had guests from all over the world who rave about the place. Try it - you'll like it!

We stayed in "The Cottage" and enjoyed the privacy of a porch overlooking a large open field and a view of Mount Baker. Add to that a private hot tub and fire pit and what more could you expect? I guess it would be the well stocked kitchen, spacious grounds and wonderful aroma emanating from the numerous rose bushes that line the lawn area - oh, and the indoor pool, an adjacent large hot tub, and fire pit at which you can mingle with newly acquired friends. Leaving the best for last: The host and hostess are amazing! They accommodated our every need, made us feel at home, and even provided us with S'mores for the fire pit one evening. Yumm! Betty has thought of virtually everything a traveler could need and guests get free reign of the upstairs during their stay. I love that Betty welcomes people to take home unfinished books from her library - "books are meant to be read, not sit on a shelf," she says. Breakfast was made at the prearranged time convenient for us (so appreciated!) and was delicious and abundant. She sat and chatted with us during breakfast and is so personable. We had to depart on a jet plane that afternoon after our 4-day trip to the Evergreen State and had a few bottles of wine that we hadn't enjoyed so I offered them to Betty and she even suggested she could take their value off our bill, although I refused because they were a gift to her for our lovely stay. Would be happy to return to Viewmont Manor if we ever find ourselves back in Bellingham!

This was served with Greek yogurt and granola, along with a cold glass of orange juice. Even though the food was to die for, the best part about Viewmont Manor was meeting Betty. She is the sweetest, most sincere Bed & Breakfast hostess that anyone could ask for. When you stay at Viewmont Manor you feel like a dear member of her family. I can't wait to come back to visit!

We were lucky enough to spend 2 nights with David and Marilyn in July. We liked the unit with its…read moreocean view, and the fact that it had not only a king bed in the main area, but also a separate bedroom with 2 twins. We were not sure if our daughter would be with us so the option to have extra sleeping space was important. David could not have been a more gracious host. From his greeting when we arrived to the home-cooked breakfasts, which were not only delicious but generous in portion size. We liked how he left the menu choices with us the night before so that we knew what to expect in the morning. I am curious as to how he got the omelet I had crispy on the outside - it was so good! In the unit there were snacks and sodas. There was also tourist information about the general area. We really enjoyed our time there but there are a couple of items that bear mention as less than ideal. First, we found the king bed to be a little soft for our liking. The TV is old and could stand to be replaced. I had the volumn all the way up and could barely hear it. Also it should be noted that there are many stairs to get to the unit. While it is mentioned on their website, it isn't mentioned on hotels.com which is who we booked through. We really enjoyed our time here and would return. Our rating is more like a 4.5 but that is not an option!

Loved visiting for an hour at breakfast with the cat and engaging in wherever the conversation led. Ample room in the suite, and was delighted to finally get some well deserved rest after moving out of our Abbotsford condo the very same day. Amenities are excellent, and for me, I was very happy with the selection of vintage VHS tapes, and we watched two of them! There are some newer DVD's and I'm not sure about the previous review, as there is plenty of volume! Loved the assorted goodies and sweets that were available, and breakfast was superb, especially the quiche! We would happily return again. A jewel as far as B&B's go, and quite a bargain for everything you receive.

My husband, 14-year-old son and I stayed here for three nights. Such a lovely space! So peaceful…read moreand quiet. Everything was very clean and meticulous yet the home offered warmth all around. The view (we were in the Seaside Suite) was spectacular the first day. The second day a storm came in, which was nearly as interesting to watch. Our hostess Sarah was excellent--knew just when to make inquiries and when to offer us privacy. She even mailed home our (clean) laundry that we left behind! Breakfast was excellent and tailored to our wishes. There is also a very friendly cat, which we loved. Beds were comfortable. We've traveled around the world and this is one of our favorite spots for the money. Highly recommended!
