Not knowing anything about quality windshield service, I check on Yelp and saw that Stephen was close by. I contacted Stephen around 4:30 on a Tuesday and I was scheduled for 8 the following morning. The chip was a on the larger side, but Stephen took the time to work his magic and fix it. On top of that, he gave me a warranty in case it didn't work, I don't live in the area, so that was a nice surprise. Overall, a quick process and helped save me in the long run because he knew what he was doing and saved me from having to get a new windshield.

Especially given how OCD the owner continued to say he was about having perfect work. When I took the tape off later in day I sent a picture and let him know and was told if it bothered me too much then they could try again and it's just very hard to get in straight, but I may have a broken windshield glass. I wasn't sure what to say about that. I just wanted it correct in the first place. The tape covered the two places that were the most noticeable with the lining not being straight. So when they left it intially didn't look bad, of course I was at work and had to get back in quickly. The owner his self also did service on my partners windshield at our home the same day as my replacement which was done at my work. He proceeded to let my significant other know how much I seem to hate living in Mississippi, hate my job and so on. This was completely out of line and unprofessional! This guy will talk 90 to nothing about anyone and everything while he is out about a windshield. Be careful what you say and how this is perceived and who he runs to. He showed up to my job at the tail end of the windshield replacement from his other two employees, and one of these first comments he said was that he made a point to tell my spouse I no longer want to live here and want to move. Then laughed and said he wasn't ttying to start marriage problems. WTH?! This is not a business I will refer or use in the future. Another thing that I was unsure of was there was no confirmation of time or day of replacement. I was supposed to get a full estimate and he was going to let me know when and if certain items were available and in stock. I was pretty surprised when they pulled up with a new windshield while I was at work a couple days after coming out when I had received no confirmed follow up. I just really hope my windshield doesn't leak because the top molding is uneven. In the future I will contact Safelite over this company.

I thought it odd that they presented me with a waiver to sign, stating that the repair might not work for me to acknowledge. The front desk clerks spent more time talking to themselves about their weekend activities than interacting with me, the customer. It was completed quickly with a request for me to not do certain things with the car for a period of time. The chip had hardly changed at all! I thought, ok, perhaps it will "cure" or something after the specified time. WRONG! The chip actually got worse than when I brought it in for repair! I've had many of these "super glue" repairs done n the past. ALL took longer than this one and ALL were almost a fully transparent fix. I spoke with my insurance agent who called them. He was told, tough, I had signed the waiver. So insurance companies are paying Venables Glass a couple of hundred dollars for a fix that they force the customer to acknowledge that it might not work? Yes, that is what customers of Venables Glass and their insurance carriers are doing. This company used to have a good reputation when the father ran the company. They say an Apple doesn't fall far from the tree...but it can sure roll a long way! AVOID! Safelight is a great alternative and they come to Madison-Ridgeland!
