I bought a Groupon for this place. 60 minute aromatherapy massage with a 30 minute body wrap. Anna did the massage, she is good at what she does. She put me to sleep a few times. The aroma part of the massage was lacking. I'm used to smelling lavender or something when I get a massage. There was no music to dull out the background noise. Not a deal breaker but it would have been nice. The body wrap was neat. They wrap you like a hot pocket and zip you up and leave you there for 30 minutes to sweat it out. I actually liked it a lot. My only issue was the sales pitch at the end by someone else there. She drew out a few different financial scenarios to outline what it would cost for a 10 package deal. I had purchased a Groupon deal for a 75min anti-aging facial. I had Coco and she was professional, kind, and skilled. I forgot every thing she did because there was a lot that happened, but it included a head and neck massage, cleaning, moisturizing (a few times), oil rub, steaming, nose scraping, some massage thing with a device, eye lifting with what it felt like a cold roller (idk), LED light therapy, masking, and moree. It was overall a great experience and I wish they accepted more Groupon deals. read more

I was in desperate need of a facial, due to this weather which leaves my skin really dry. I came across this spa and wanted to give them a try. Can I say, I'm soo glad that I did because i lefted feeling more relaxed then when l came in. My skin felt super hydrated!!! The facility is very clean. Right when you walk in, you get that warm and welcoming feeling. Consultant Brittany is very patient and helpful on explaining questions I had about my skin. Her price is affordable which is a plus. I found this place on Groupon, the environment is fancy and clean. I like the deco inside. Lisa was the one helped me on my facial. She is very professional and her hands are soft, I almost fell asleep during facial. After I finished, I can tell my skin is smooth and shining. She did a great job. Ruby is front desk, I really like her personality. She gave me tea and explained to me facial steps and their services. I ended up getting more facial visits since Ruby gave me a good price. My neighbor had a facial at MS Slim through a Groupon. She loved it! She said the person who gave her the facial was named Linda and she spoke English really well. She was good at extractions and massage. I purchased a Groupon for the same facial at the same place, MS Slim. When I called to make an appointment, I specifically requested Linda. At my appointment, the lady spoke little to no English so I asked her if she was Linda. She said, "Yes, I Linda". I told her that Linda spoke English well and she just kept repeating, "Yes, I Linda". I then said you are NOT Linda and she said "no, I not Linda". It was very confusing. When she gave me the facial, she was extremely rough. She hurt my eye socket by rubbing so hard it felt like my eyeball was coming out. I told her to stop. When she did the extractions, she ran a rake over my face and then stopped....that is not extractions. I could not believe how incompetent this woman was. I don't think that she was even licensed. I ran out of there. Later, I told my neighbor what happened and she said that was NOT Linda. That the lady who gave her a facial was really good, gentle, and was great at extractions. Found this place on Groupon for Hydra Facial. It was a super relaxing session. My skin is a lot cleaner and more smooth. The technician took out most of my blackheads which is amazing. The front lady talked me into a mini package with a very good price. I think their price is better than other beauty spa. I'm also gonna try their massage too later. I went here a few years back after talking to them at the Asian American Expo. It was not a good experience. The staff was unprofessional and unfriendly. I purchased a package and when I went to my first session, they tried to sell me multiple add on creams and gels saying that I will not achieve any results if I did not purchase these additional products. I used to go to their old location in Rowland heights where they offer excellent service. Couple months ago, I changed to do service in their temple city location which is bigger and newer. I really like the deco and staff in this place. I am doing facial and massage with them. So far, I'm satisfied with everything. They also added new services recently. I work in construction and I am constantly in the sun. I've noticed over time I was developing wrinkles from dry skin, acne, and large pores on my face. I deal with concrete a lot and it drys out the hands. For this I was introduced to Zoey. She helped trim my nails, cleaned them of dirt, and remove the excess cuticles. They have the worst customer service ever! The client has to adjust his schedule to find the nurse who performs certain services instead of having them engage with the client. The poor level of understanding of the English language makes it even more complicated. And when the situation gets awkward to be able to get even an appointment, and you ask your money back, you get the story that they have no refunds, and that detail obviously nobody ever told you! Horrible customer service. The front desk receptionist looked bothered the whole time. The longest manicure and gel pedicure I've ever had. I bought the gel manicure and pedicure package on group- on, and it's only color. They charged my 10 extra dollars to take the gel off my toes and they do not scrub your feet or anything else. The lady that did my nails, did not even clean up the side my nails once they were painted. I had to remind her once she was done with my pedicure to clean it up. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY GOING TO TIMESHARE MEETINGS AND IN IT FOR FREE WATER/TEA. Before my groupon expired, I had called them twice asking to schedule for a massage. 1st time they said they will call me back to confirm a time with their masseuses which they never did, 2nd time they were going to schedule me in however once they found out it was groupon they said the time slot I wanted was for customers paying full price. Turned me off, gave up and after 2 months have passed, I went to the store and the lady at the front desk was chatting on the phone, stopped to ask what I needed which I said I have an expired groupon and wanted to know if I schedule for a massage what is the price difference and told me to wait as she is on the phone with a "client." I stayed to test my theory and after 10 min of listening to her speak in mandarin and chatting about dinner plans and which restaurant was good or what not, I walked out and she chased after me and then told her friend she had to get off the phone. I explained the situation again, showed my expired groupon and asked what was the price difference which she then told me they will not accept it as it expired, I even showed her under customer support section about what happens when a voucher expires and amount paid is still redeemable under California law. She said they won't accept it however if I buy a package of 10 massages today she will give one session for free today as a special promotion and kept going on and on. I said no as I've heard that spiel on the phone the 2nd time I called. My purpose was to try the place before committing to a package and I also showed her my phone history the times I've called them and never got a call back. Luckily Groupon gave me groupon bucks after I explained the situation. Customer rep even called to confirm they refused to accept my expired voucher. They care about making the sale and do not provide the same quality of customer service to groupon users and retail clientele when the purpose is to convert new clients into regulars. read more

Made contact in the first attempt, but was immediately dismissed by a rather limited English-speaking worker when I noted I had a Groupon. In a very rude and rushed tone, she managed to say, "we are busy. Call you back for appointment" and then hung up on me. Needless to say, she never called back. I attempted to contact this establishment over the course of 1 WEEK at different times of the day. It was annoyingly unsuccessful. I walked into Ms Slim because I wanted to check out their services. Before I knew it, I was asked to sit on the couch and talk. It was a hard sell situation from the beginning but I didn't realize it. I went in to ask about facials as my skin was dry and before any time had passed I was agreeing to buy three facials. Granted, this was my choice but what you need to know about this place is once you purchase one service they will push and push and push to have you buy more.
