The chef running the class was not personable in the slightest, and basically just kept talking about himself. The actual class mainly consisted of watching said chef do nearly all of the work for each dish. There were 4 parts to the meal: roasted asparagus, crab cakes, steak, and chocolate lava cakes. As the customers, we got to flip the steak over, put the lava cake ingredients into a stand mixer (in addition to separating egg yolks), and shape and pan fry some crab cakes. The reasoning for the main chef doing all of the other work was that we did not have enough time for us to do it, so he had to take over. However, 1 hour into the 2 hour class, the chef told us to take a 15 minute break so we could peruse the store. In other words, the class had a 15 minute ad-break forced into it. If we didn't have enough time to do the cooking ourselves, why was there time for us to just wander the store? Most of the food turned out okay; the crab cakes were good, as were the lava cakes. However, the steak was middling at best, as we were not allowed to cook it to how we wanted to have it (we wanted it on the rare end, it ended up being closer to medium). We didn't get any say in how the asparagus were cooked. Also, there was a house fly constantly present during the class. It landed on the asparagus more than once, and the chef did not acknowledge it or wash the asparagus again before cooking it. We got sent home with recipe cards, which were printouts that you could probably find online. If you want a cooking class, go order somewhere else. Online classes allow you to actually do all the work yourself, rather than having the chef do everything for you. The store itself is fine, though everything is quite pricey,

We hired him as the private chef for our wedding in Yosemite Valley for 30 guests, with the dinner hosted at an Airbnb in Oakhurst. He flew in from NYC 4 days in advance to get everything prepared and managed the challenging logistics in a timely manner. We were astounded by the amount of work and planning he did for our wedding. Communicating with Rob ahead of time was easy and seamless. In all our emails, he was always prompt to respond. As this was our first experience hiring a caterer, he helped walk us through the whole process, from providing a budget breakdown and utensil options, to curating a menu for our guests based on our preferences, diet restrictions, and budget. He was very professional in accommodating our tight wedding schedule, and made sure all our guests were served food at peak temperature and freshness. Chef Rob prepared us an incredible range of dishes in a 5-course meal, covering everything from a fancy sit-down salad and soup, to a more casual buffet hors d'oeuvres and family style entrée. The sweet & sour pork rib was A HIT!!! Not only did it taste like authentic Chinese food, but it was even better than ribs I had back in China. It almost made me cry of homesickness. The dessert was a perfect sweet ending to our wedding dinner. As someone very particular about food, I found every dish to be beyond delicious. Chef Rob was phenomenal. It wasn't just the great food (many guests asked asked for his contact info); it was his accommodation to our individual needs and timing, as well as his professional service from setup to delivery. I couldn't ask for a better caterer to partner with. I look forward to working with Rob on future events. I truly can't thank him enough and tell you what a relief it was to find him. Highly recommend. Thank you Chef Rob!!

The french toast - OMG, the eggs benedict - AMAZING, the chorizo and egg skillet - yummmmm, that chorizo for real. I have no clue how he managed to cook it all so fast and left the kitchen absolutely spotless. Everyone in our crew were thoroughly delighted and stuffed. Rob was kind, knowledgeable, respectful and professional. I would recommend Rob to anyone in the Catskills region looking for a delicious, local, and beautiful meal. What a blast! A+, would brunch again.

Pros: We chose Natasha for a small family party to celebrate our wedding this spring. We went with…read moreher mainly because she was the first/only chef to begin our conversation by asking us what WE had in mind and letting that be the foundation for building the menu. She seemed eager to help us realize our vision rather than impose someone else's onto us. There are also four other people on the IBN team: the sous chef, whose name I forget; the bartender, for whom the same is true (maybe Aaron or Erin), and two servers: Mason and Spencer. These folks did an AMAZING job and we were both so grateful for their kindness and professionalism on the day of the event. Finally, I liked what I ate! I was happy with my day-of meal. Cons: Natasha was incredibly rude to both me and my husband in the weeks leading up to the post-wedding party. I had only spoken to her twice before the party: once when I hired her and again in February. She'd said in February that we could have a third and final call two weeks before the event. When I emailed her three weeks before the event to schedule this final call, she sounded irritated and said we'd spoken "a few days ago" (we had not; I even asked some relatives in case someone else had, but no) and she wanted to "stick to the plan" of having a call at a date a time to which we had not agreed--- only *five* days before the party. My husband reminded her that she'd said we could talk two weeks before and she eventually, reluctantly scheduled a call with us. When we call at the date and time she told us to, she does not pick up; instead, she texts us that she's in the middle of an event. All of these things are perfectly normal, human mistakes. We all get clients confused and talk to one as though they are another (like the "a few days ago" thing). We all overbook ourselves every once in a while and are unavailable after telling someone we would be. A professional would have simply apologized; instead, after I used *one sentence* of an email to express my disappointment about the missed call--- because my husband had taken off work to be available for it, so lost money for no reason--she used this as an excuse to threaten not to show up. Said she needed us to "confirm" in light of my "tone." In light of this, I decided not to speak to this person anymore unless absolutely necessary (i.e. at the party, for the sake of our guests). My husband took over talking to her, at which point we had a fun little role-reversal in which he was now the one reporting to me on a regular basis how rude Natasha was being to him. So at least I know it wasn't personal! Conclusion: If you just need to place a big food order and don't need to talk to the chef again after that, you can go with IBN and you'll probably be fine. If, however, you are planning an event of great importance to you--or just don't want to risk being treated like a burden for wanting to speak more than once with someone you're employing-- maybe look elsewhere.

Everything she prepared was super delicious and everyone loved it. She was also really easy going and a pleasure to be around. The lead up to our event day was super organized, she was very responsive and easy to work with and even had to deal with our last minute change of location and an oven that was barely working (which she didn't let impact the menu or quality of the food at all!). Highly recommend and we'll certainly be calling her again the next time we're in the area.

We enjoyed the old movie and music theme in this updated prior rectory. After spending the last several years of travel in hotels and Airbnb's, we have come to remember how personal and inviting B&Bs are. This particular one, however, is one of the best. The BB is two blocks from Warren Street for quick access to restaurants and shops. There is also a retail shop on Warren Street where you can spot many of the unique items from the house. The shop is very well curated. We stayed in Room 5 which has a private deck off the room that my husband used every morning and evening. It's the room with the beautifully updated blue bathroom. The only thing missing from the room and the bathroom was brighter light - our eyes no longer perform as well in dim lighting! We spent most of the mornings and afternoons on several hikes throughout the area - all of them peaceful and beautiful. The waterfalls at the end were stunning.
