The men at the counter yapped the whole time I was in the store without so much as a hi, then I get to their counter and they stopped mid conversation and just starred at me as if i was looking to pocket something. I ended up saying hellos and good bye in the same breath. Oh and it smells old and dusty in there, I ended up coughing so much due to dust and it mold from the items. Wear a mask.

I haven't ever stolen, and I had no intentions of starting today, but they were certainly concerned and acting rudely. Racism of another flavor I guess. I felt unwelcome, and uncomfortable. One hovered like a hawk. Another acted mildly annoyed when asked a question. The quality of the clothing is not the same. You could likely do much better at the MAM boutique on N Blalock and that money goes to a good cause. In spite of that, they are really good at updating their website. Their entire range of items is posted online, with photos, dimensions, prices, etc. They also have a section for new items, in case you just want to check back now and then. Kudos to them for maintaining such an organized system. I am somewhat biased because we purchased our dream bookcase here. It's a beautiful piece and I've never seen anything like it. That being said, they had a fairly large selection of items, at all different price points. It's mostly furniture along with rugs and smaller home decor items. The service was friendly and helpful. It's a family business, in operation for 30 years. They have sales on occasion and were doing 30% on certain items to celebrate their 30-year anniversary. Our bookcase was one of those items. You can try to haggle but this is a consignment store so they are limited in how much they can adjust the price. They offer both pick-up and delivery. I believe that delivery was $89 per hour so it will vary depending on your item, address, building set-up, etc. The delivery guys were great. I wish they had wrapped the piece since it got a minor chip in transit but I was able to fix it. Not the guys' fault as it was a beast to move and didn't fit in the elevator. Easy parking in a large lot.

Woman at door was only skaking down people of color. White women were never challenged about bags or bag sizes. Should have called for more help when the turnout was so large. Woman running show in checkout area was rude to several customers while I was in line. She snapped at people and explained it away by saying she was tired. Everyone standing in line for over an hour was tired too. Terrible customer service overall.

The store is not the biggest or the baddest antique shop, but I have found some gems here. My biggest score has probably been "Heroes of the American Revolution" figures--all made in China!
