This is what the host Alma send me after I requested refund on Airbnb because I strongly believe…read morethey had violated the Airbnb cleanliness and accuracy guideline.
"The house is clean, you should notice that this is an old house, but it is clean since we have cleaning person to clean everyday. When you get here, you should notice this is an old house. It is not acceptable reason you said you thought you can stand it , everything was there as clear as you saw when you got in. What do you mean you thought you can stand it? Everything is there you can see, isn't it? Then you decided to stay, right? Which means you accepted it, isn't it? Otherwise you will leave if you didn't accepted it, right? So you cannot eat the food without pay for it! Also our rooms are full everyday. This is only your option, not everyone else. Actually we have a lot of guest stay in here for many times! "
Airbnb won't publish my review unless both host and guest review each other. SO here's my detailed review:
My first Airbnb experience ended also be my FIRST MOBILE HOME experience!
Few things the listing failed to mention:
1, it's not a HOUSE, it's a Mobile home.
2, the 3 car parking space is not the GARAGE,it is the CARPORT that is attached to the mobile home, if someone block your car you have to ask them to move.
3, It's a 1800 sqft Mobile home that is converted into a 8 rooms to rent out.
What make staying at this AirBnb a horrible experience:
1, Room #3 is facing the street but the windows can not be opened. It's next to the kitchen and has a disgusting smell.
2, Wall is paper thin, someone was cooking at 4:30 am in the morning, I can literally hear the stove turned on. At 5:30am I can hear someone stirring their coffee or oatmeal in the kitchen. Needless to say, SLEEPLESS!!!
3, Everything in this property prolly has 35+ years history and they never bother spending any money to make it a little bit more comfortable. Effort is lacking. One bathroom has some tray/mat in the bathtub to cover something on the bottom.
4, Despite shoe off house rule, the floor/carpet are way too dirty to be barefooted. Cleaning job is done sloppy.
5, Owner or whoever (Alma) who's the airbnb contact does not live on the property. It's no doubt if I were the owner I can't live in this kind dump either.
What's good:
1, location, it's close to 91 and the neighborhood is safe and quiet.
2, tenants are respectful, the problem is the paper thin wall.
3, Response from Alma is fast (like within 5 mins) and check in was easy(they give you entrance code).
Overall, AVOID of all cost, worse than any MOTEL and I do not see any effort putting in this Airbnb business and you will encounter rude attitude instead of solving problems from the host. What a greedy bastard!
