Bedroom with two queen beds
Agnes Y.

This was our first time staying at this Wyndham resort. It is conveniently located near Disneyland. The unit was not very big due to its location and it didn't have a kitchen with a cooktop. There's a mini fridge and a microwave; and it also came with plates and silverware. Although the unit was somewhat small, it was still quite comfortable and nicely decorated. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The lobby staff is very friendly and they do try to make your stay more pleasant by doing extra little things like providing drinks and snacks and fruits. There's also a small pool and a couple of jacuzzi's. Valet parking is very well run and efficient. Overall it's a nice little resort.

We stayed here due to a presentation we were less then excited. However, the room we stayed in was nice. Nothing spectacular, but it had ok amenities. The room had a small living area with a couch, small dining table, tv and kitchenette. The bedroom was nice and a fairly good size bathroom. The bed was comfortable, the small refrigerator worked well. The staff was super friendly and helpful ( there are cookies in the reception area) . They have a pool and game area too. It was very close to Disney and convenient to the highway. Plenty of restaurants and stores too. The only thing I would say they need to work on is Cleaning nothing major but there was a layer of dust on the tops of the boards that were above the windows lamps were dusty little things like that they could use a good swiffer. All in all we had a very nice time there and would go back.

If you're in the Anaheim area and need a place to stay, there are a lot of choices. We picked the Peacock Suites because we have a timeshare. The property is nice, the rooms aren't huge but spacious enough to be comfortable. The parking is an issue - the valets park in odd places to fit everyone staying there. But they do successfully do so! Staff is nice enough, but expect to be asked to listen to one of their timeshare presentations. The place is clean. They don't service your room during your stay, but they will bring extra towels etc when you ask. They will also take the trash if you ask. Overall an okay place to stay.

I have never been in a hotel that has absolutely ZERO counter space in the bathroom! We have 4 people and not even one person can put their toothbrush down . I tried to move the huge containers of hand soap and body lotion to make more room and they are cemented down!! Very poorly planned. The 'kitchenette' area is nice. However, there is no sink! Have to go to the very poorly planned bathroom that has no counter space to fill the coffee pot and then, after using the dishes, there is no place to rinse so they can be used again!! We have 4 of every utensil, no extras, so we have to carry our dishes to the tiny bathroom sink to try and clean them. Our view out of our window is nasty. The pull out bed has the thinnest of mattresses. Every supporting cross bar can be felt through it. All that being said, the staff in the reception area is very kind and efficient. My gripe is with whomever designed these spaces. My suggestion to Wyndham and Shell is: Don't put any guests in this room and then expect them to come for an hour appointment for you to try to sell this timeshare. You'd be digging your own grave!

This place is always awesome. It's my moms time share, idk how it goes to actually reserve a room Without the timeshare. The front desk staff is always so nice and helpful. However disclaimer, there seems to be only one employee working valet who can park a stick shift. They have a pool and 2 hot tubs and a sun roof and area on the 4th floor with TVs and grills. It's 7 minutes driving distance from Disneyland and downtown Disney and 1 hour away from LEGOLAND (without traffic) it took us an hour 45 to get there because the last 15 miles took 50 minutes There's a recreation center behind the lobby with a pool table and foosball table. The beds are comfy and the staff makes sure you have everything you need.

I've encountered rude staff before, but I've never experienced staff joking and mocking me. It's a shame to have to do business with them.

On my most recent stay, I was placed in a handicap accessible room that I did not request when booking. Not a huge issue, but definitely not what I expected. During the stay before that, on my last day, I stopped at the pool bar to relax and have a few drinks. The entire time, the bartenders and wait staff were either on their phones or arguing with each other. It made for a pretty uncomfortable atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. On the stay prior to that, I had a very negative interaction with a manager, which I reported in a letter. The response from the hotel was lukewarm and didn't leave a good impression. I felt I was treated poorly, especially for a property at this level, and the small number of points offered felt more dismissive than helpful. On top of that, tours were repeatedly brought through the gym while my guests and I were trying to work out. I understand the space may be open, but having multiple groups walk through filming on their phones, combined with the manager's reaction and comments, was frustrating and honestly left a lasting negative impression. I will say the front desk staff are excellent and the housekeeping team is outstanding. Unfortunately, the issues with other areas overshadow the great work they do. Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

The issue is not necessarily that every employee was rude -- the real problem is the completely broken system and lack of communication between departments. We booked THREE rooms for 18 guests for a birthday celebration and simply wanted to reserve and pay for a place where everyone could eat lunch together and celebrate with cake. Something that should have been straightforward became an exhausting process filled with confusion, conflicting information, and endless transfers between departments. The front desk had no idea about the policies of the events department. The front desk also had no clear understanding of pool policies. Every single question required someone to "leave a note" for another department and wait for an email response that never came. No callbacks. No follow-up. No accountability. The most frustrating part was trying to contact the front desk directly. First, you are forced through an AI system. Then you finally reach someone in the "reservation department," who is not even onsite. Despite politely asking multiple times to be transferred directly to the front desk, they refused and insisted they could help. They could not. Instead, they placed me on hold supposedly to ask the front desk themselves -- and after 11 minutes on hold, they never came back. At that point, yes, the reservation department representatives themselves became part of the problem: rude, dismissive, unprofessional, poorly trained, and completely incapable of resolving even simple questions. This company has far too many unnecessary departments that clearly do not communicate or work together. Planning an important family event here became stressful instead of enjoyable. I will never host another birthday event at Great Wolf Lodge again, and I would strongly caution families against wasting their time and money here for important celebrations.

Furthermore, it holds sentimental significance for me, as it is where I previously stayed during my elementary school years. Although other hotels were considered, I found their higher prices to be unwarranted given what I perceived as a motel-like quality. The check-in process was remarkably convenient. We received a pre-arrival check-in text message, followed by a welcome reminder that included the option to cancel our reservation without incurring any fees. Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We were informed via text that our room was ready. Additionally, we received a text message offering an extension for our check-out time. I routinely use antibacterial wipes before touching any surfaces in a hotel room. It can often be quite surprising to discover the level of cleanliness of remote controls, light switches, curtain rods, refrigerator handles, tabletops, and bathrooms. This was the very first occasion where the majority of the wipes remained pristine. The only instance they showed any residue was when I wiped down the racks or rails of the chairs. My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional cleanliness of the room. This hotel offers an excellent family-friendly experience, featuring a water playground that is ideal for children. We were looking forward to a smooth, family-friendly stay. In preparation, I reserved four rooms several months in advance and requested that they be located near one another. I understand that such requests are not guaranteed, but given the lead time, I was hopeful for closer proximity. At check-in, two of the four rooms were ready around 2:00 PM, while our room was not available until after 4:00 PM. We were advised it would be guaranteed by 4:00 PM; however, it was still not ready at that time. Traveling with a young child made the delay more challenging, particularly as she needed to rest. When our room did become available, it was located on a different floor and opposite side of the building from the rest of our party. Staff did offer that room as an option, but the separation made coordinating with family more difficult throughout the stay. During our visit, we also encountered several property policies that were more restrictive than expected, including required wristbands for pool access and additional swimwear requirements for infants beyond standard swim diapers. While policies vary by property, these were not typical of our prior hotel experiences. Housekeeping service was inconsistent. The room did not appear to be fully refreshed during our stay (including linens and vacuuming), and when we contacted the front desk to request service between 12:00-2:00 PM, we were told it would depend on availability. Parking near our building was limited, with several spots blocked off despite no visible work occurring. This required parking farther away, which was particularly difficult for a member of our group with mobility limitations. Lastly, elevator service between floors was quite slow, which added to the overall inconvenience when moving between rooms and amenities. Overall, while we appreciated the initial recommendation and the intent of a family-friendly environment, there were several operational challenges that impacted what was an important weekend for us. I would hesitate to recommend this property to friends or family unless they are fully informed of the policies and expectations prior to booking.

Parking in the area usually runs $25-$45 a night, and we got free parking. We also had breakfast both days, which I'd easily value around $40 for a family of four. That's already close to $100 in savings, so you're really looking at about $180 for the room itself. You also get a trolley/shuttle to Disneyland, which adds even more convenience. We arrived early in the morning before check-in and were still able to grab breakfast. Even though the room wasn't ready yet, the staff let us check in smoothly, and we got the room later in the afternoon without any issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not luxury, but well-maintained and exactly what you need after a long Disney day. Location is a big plus -- close enough to walk to Disneyland, which is huge when you have kids and don't want to deal with parking or long shuttles. Breakfast is one of the better continental options. Not a fancy buffet, but solid and convenient before heading out. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff handled early arrival well and made everything easy. Only downside -- I didn't notice an elevator, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. You can also hear the trolley at times, especially at night, but it wasn't a big issue for me. I saw this mentioned in earlier reviews and it matched my experience. Overall, once you factor in free parking, breakfast, and the shuttle, it's actually a great value for Disneyland. Clean, easy, and family-friendly. I would come back.
