It was a Tuesday night and the place wasn't too busy so I sat at the bar. Delaney was a delight, made some great recommendations. Not pictured was the Wisconsin ale which was really good & the tomato bisque with the baguettes was a home-run. I enjoyed the crisp of the bacon and the flavor of the burger. Had a nice crisp and the chipotle with the onion ring & bacon went extremely well together. I loved how the fries were warm and crunchy. It didn't lack flavor either. They have many beers on tap along with bottled beer. I loved seeing customers 'Spin the wheel' as they drank whatever the number the wheel landed on. This is a great spot to visit if you're in town for work or visiting. The locals have a nice place here.

The community is homey and the space from inside the taproom to outside on the patio embodies that vibe. I got a flight on their trout flight board and sat outside. Red Sky Honey Cranberry: A Honey Ale brewed with Cranberry and Honey Malt. Medium-low sweetness with a low tartness that comes from the bitter cranberry. The honey provides a pleasant balance to it that ensures the cranberry doesn't take over the ale.  Local Yokel Session IPA: A Session IPA inspired by the West Coast IPA style. Using local Civil Sass grown in Southeast Minnesota right up the roat in Chatfield hops provides a pleasant bitterness with a low grapefruit zest flavor.  Egromaniac Rye IPA: A Rye IPA that doesn't shy away from the bold spicy notes of the rye malt. The IPA is packed with flavor with a full body, high hop bitterness, and high rye spiciness. Blueberry Seasonal: A very enjoyable blueberry seasonal that isn't online, but when the beertender told me about it I jumped right on it. It's an enormous, industrial-chic space and is built for events and charter busses. Their patio is dog friendly but you have to come inside to order at the bar after checking in. The food looked decent and the pretzel was ok. Standard, uninspired brewpub food for the most part. Worth noting that their beer list isn't up to date so we missed out on a few barrel aged things they said they had. Basically you have to get there on release day if you want any non-flagship dark beers. It's a nice one-stop shop on a road trip for food and beer but I don't think it's worth going out of the way for.

They have snacky food like pretzels, cheese and meat sticks and you can order food in from a nearby restaurant. We opted for the cheese, made locally, and were happy we were given a small charcuterie board to use. Overall, if you're driving through, it's a fun, cool place to stop by!

We decided on a 6 pack of Woody's after his recommendation as we like a light beer. Then we checked out the tap room and Jim gave us a brief rundown of the buildings history and how long Sand Creek Brewing has been in they building (2005 I believe!) I love old buildings with neat history and was happy to hear the story from one of the owners. We brought our beer back to our campsite and OMG it is so good and just what we wanted!! If you're ever in the area stop by and have them explain the different beers and ask about the building ;)
